no don't look he's waiting for you to do that!

quokka · 17/04/2007 20:20

he's so funny, he looks at his poo and says "look its a crocodile!",or "look at my big sausage mum!"

ComeOVeneer · 17/04/2007 20:27

Hi all sorry, I have been so busy haven't had a chance to check in. DO I believe there is a meet-up at Quokka's place tomorrow am? If so (and it isn't to late) could I cheekily sneak in?

mellow2 · 17/04/2007 20:31

Quokka,

Pesto pasta would be lovely. Thanks for offering.

Hi COV - was thinking about you today - dd2 said how she'd made a new friend in your dd. She really likes her and wants to meet up soon.

foxcub · 17/04/2007 21:46

MrsR - how about next Friday (i.e. a week and a bit away)?

Sue - how cute Monti is making deep grunting noises that usually precede a "big sausage"

trying2bgood · 17/04/2007 23:41

quokka - this is probably a bit late now but what is happening at yours tomorrow? I just got back from my hols so have been off-line for the past two weeks or so, but if you are around would love to come by! But if I am too late, no worries!

quokka · 18/04/2007 08:42

ok really sorry guys but ds2 has cut his hand and I can't stop it bleeding. dh was meant to be watching him, but he got in the lounge and smashed a bowl and wine wine glass. Then ds1 went up the stairs by himself to find me leaving a trail of blood up the stairs! Need to take him to docs if it hasn't clotted (its quite deep) in half an hour - so think I need to cancel .

pudding77 · 18/04/2007 08:43

quokka - hope the ds's are ok

mellow2 · 18/04/2007 08:47

Dont worry quoks. Sure ds2 will be okay.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 18/04/2007 08:53

good morning all

quokka chances are ds will be ok but understand the worry.

we are off to kew, dd woke up talking about C&C 'oh what a good idea' as she puts it.

hope everyone ok

quokka · 18/04/2007 08:57

he keeps bleeding through the plasters, the cut is deep but can't see how they would stitch it up its on the inside of his thumb

sfxmum · 18/04/2007 09:01

sorry to ask but i guess you have applied pressure?

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:05

its really hard to keep him still! I think its slowing down now. HE has 2 plasters on now and have been trying to hold his hand up, but its near impossible!

sfxmum · 18/04/2007 09:09

yes moving around in toddler fashion is not helpful i would say pressure through the plaster while holding him quiet, read? watch tv? easier said that done i know.

often looks worst than it is but it is worth having it checked to get it clean and rule out any clotting problems

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:24

Well he hasn't bleed through these plasters so looks like its clotted, but am not going to take the plasters off for a while. I think its hurting alot as he wont let me touch it now.

Looks like we are back on for today ladies, but I might just try and keep it smallish. Cov and t2bgood, do you mind if you come over another time?

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:25

how was the holiday t2bgood?

trying2bgood · 18/04/2007 09:29

no probs Quokka, will go off to chiswick with dh and kids in tow!! Have a good day.

holiday was good although we actually had a better time in ramsgate than in spain! We were in spain for a week and it rained 6 days out of 7 and it was cold, and ironically you guys were enjoying unseasonal great weather! LOL, but my girls still didn't want to go home. Its amazing how children can have a great time no matter what!

ComeOVeneer · 18/04/2007 09:31

No problem quokka. TBH after a horrendeous night with DS I was contemplating pulling out anyway. If it does need stitching they would probably either use butterfly stiches (small pieces of tape) or special glue. Hope he is ok.

trying2bgood · 18/04/2007 09:32

quokka - hope ds2's hand is better now.

xoxo · 18/04/2007 09:37

hi JUST POPPED IN WHILE WAITING FOR CABLE TV MAN!
qUOKKA: HOPE DS' HAND BETTER.

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:42

just put him down for a nap, which he was happy to do. Dh was pathetic, could handle the blood at all - what a lightweight

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:43

sorry about the bad night cov, raining in spain t2bgood???????????

xoxo · 18/04/2007 09:51

whoooops - sorry for shouting

quokka · 18/04/2007 09:53

been meaning to ask oxo how have the changes gone - that you were planning to make at work?
