OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 15/04/2007 08:46

x-post!

dd's fine. actually she hasn't been more well for a while. think those ABs she had week before last really nailed anythign she had hanging around.

i've had a filthy cold all week and the cough is crippling me. seems like i hurt from head to toe and now i've been on the loo half the night!

god knows why, i've barely eaten anything all week. which isn't helping with the energy levels i know.......

quokka · 15/04/2007 08:49

pc , sorry your under the weather. Let us know if your ma can't help out.

Wow artic monkeys, ds1 can sing the fireman sam opening over and over again. I think I would much prefer artic monkey's

Well we have been really busy clearing the loft, garage and de cluttering the house. Its quite liberating getting rid of so much stuff we really don't need!

sfxmum · 15/04/2007 09:07

it is obvious but stress does weaken the imune system and you have had a lot of that lately, but do try and look after yourself, i know easier said than done.

hi bunyan hope you ok too

paddle/quoakka - she also knows our christian names now and wants cousins to visit again today thats babysitting sorted

Paddlechick666 · 15/04/2007 09:10

thanks quokka, she's on her way now. i feel rubbish for having to ask for her help - have always coped before.

never seems to be a way out of this mess.

sfx, yeah i know. i think i am just completely run down. really don't know what to do about it all tho.

littel paddle's favourite band is Snow Patrol but she likes a few P!nk tracks too! such trendy babies LOL!

suejonez · 15/04/2007 09:19

Sorry you're feeling rough Paddle - your cough did sound horrible yesterday. Those of you around yesterday will know that DS's favorite song is Bob the BUilder - disappointed more of you didn;t join in though...

suejonez · 15/04/2007 09:21

have a single (baby-less) friend coming - may talk her into going to Chiswick house again as it was so nice yesterday

ComeOVeneer · 15/04/2007 09:23

MOrning all. Lovely day here again, think we will spend most of it in the garden. Sorry you are feeling rough paddls. We have recently come to the other side of a period of months where we all seemed to lurch from one bug/cold to another. Hopefully this warmer weather will help. Thank goodness dd is back at school tomorrow. It has been hard work keeping her entertained for 2 weeks. Heaven help me when we get to the summer holiday arrrgghh.

foxcub · 15/04/2007 10:00

Paddle - you poor thing - you are right to ask your Mum to come over - you really do need to rest up in order to shift that bug

Sue - we may go to chiswick again - or may do paddling pool in garden - will text you if we get out of the house

bunyan - sorry i didn't respond to your last text - ended up rushing out of the house in the end as it was getting so late and I was desperate to get out. chiswick was lovely btw - good future venue for meets

quokka - i love that clearing out feeling - very good for the sould to get rid of loads of "stuff" you don't need

another fine day today

suejonez · 15/04/2007 10:36

do I get brownie points for the Chiswick House suggestion?

foxcub · 15/04/2007 10:45

you get three gold stars!!!

quokka · 15/04/2007 13:36

Ok now have just lugged all the clothes down from the loft - my god there is a lot! I also found

Avent Sterilizer
A moulded plastic baby bath seat
A sit up plastic bath seat

Any takers?

I feel like this is never going to end

MrsBigD · 15/04/2007 14:48

Paddle, sorry to hear you're under the weather. Stress definitely lowers immune system and also according to my gp there are quite a few nasty bugs going around atm. We all have tonslitis! So know how you feel. Hope your mum could give you some rest. If you need a break why not come visit us for a weekend? You could chill whilst dd and ds entertain your ds in the garden

Quokka... it will end. I felt exactly the same when I started getting stuff ready for the move. Amazing what one accumulates!

stepfordwife · 15/04/2007 17:42

hi everyone..oh dear, watched dr who last night and, er, quite fancied face of boe!?
can't be right, can it?

suejonez · 15/04/2007 19:29

being a Dr WHo virgin I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!

MrsBD - I'm probably available on 5th but need to be coordinated and check my diary.

suejonez · 15/04/2007 19:30

Paddle, hope you're feeling better - can you take tomorrow off?

stepfordwife · 15/04/2007 20:12

paddle..you poor thing..hope you feel better soon
foxie...well done, that woman, for getting the brood out..all at the same time in the same place..

foxcub · 15/04/2007 21:54

Monti woke me every three hours last night 1am, 4am, 7am

nopudstilleaster · 16/04/2007 09:52

morning all

Am now back and am free tomorrow if anyone wants to meet up?

MrsD - me and ds might possibly do the 5th, not sure if we've got anything planned. Will check with dh & let you know. I might drive if anyone would like a lift, can fit 1 adult & 1 car seat.

2Cute · 16/04/2007 10:47

Hi chocobloc

Paddle - Hope you have done a sickie and are resting. Give me a shout if you need a hand.

Foxi - That's why I think summer's great, we get to hide our speep deprived eyes behind big sunglasses and look trendy at the same time!!

BigD - I'm not sure about the 5th yet because it's my cousin's birthday that wknd. Can I let you know in 1 / 2 wks time?

Can a have a bit of a moan please.... I had a sh*tter of a weekend. Me hormonal/tearful due to time of the month and DH being a typical man had to be even more hormonal and stroppy to top it off! I swear there's a male version of PMS or is it just Stoppy Old Git syndrome?

pudding77 · 16/04/2007 10:57

2cute - you didn't have a good weekend, men are useless aren't they!

MrsBigD · 16/04/2007 11:21

puds, would be great if you can make it

2cute, no problem as long as know about 1 week before the 'event' so I can plan the shopping As for sog syndrome... that's an affirmative. My dh also defo suffers from the equivalent of pms. well either that or I'm just more indifferent to his manerisms when I'm not pmt'ing
