foxcub · 16/04/2007 11:48

more like "SOD" syndrome

sfxmum · 16/04/2007 13:35

2cute sorry about annoying weekend/male presence, etc. sod syndrome

just took dd to playground, quite crowded, can't wait for the hols to be over. also looks like we are in for a stormy evening, but i might be wrong/ end of weather report

about men dh is actually ok has the virtue of not liking football or going to pubs with mates or maybe we are just going through a good patchbless him and his geekyness

foxcub · 16/04/2007 15:04

ooh I acrually managed to get out this morning - went to Richmond - bank, shops etc

amazing

will get paddling pool out this arvo for the kiddoes...

its 3pm and have had no lunch yet - well something has to slip doesn't it?

MrsBigD · 16/04/2007 16:20

well done foxie
we already got the paddling pools out yesterday. Works wonders to keep kids entertained. Though I'm glad when school's back on. Thought it was today according to term calendar I have but they're having an in-set day whatever that is so no school yet... argh and there we were all nicely on time and dressed up LOL

pudding77 · 16/04/2007 19:03

I took ds out to play in the garden this afternoon, after about 10 minutes he decided he'd much rather play in the living room !

How is everyone this evening?

quokka · 16/04/2007 19:24

Puds been meaning to say thank you for the box's! We got loads packed away and sorted over the weekend - I'm exhausted! Still so much to do

Foxy do you reckon you could make a trip here to pick up the bits? If your not up for it then we can arrange something else. Maybe whoever wants to come and get some things could come around for cake and tea all at once?

pudding77 · 16/04/2007 19:39

More than welcome quokka! Have you still got the highchair or has that gone? I am interested but need to know if its easier than mine to clean!

suejonez · 16/04/2007 19:44

I've had my appt for the consultant to look at my mole already (for those of you paying atention earlier in teh thread) and it this wednesday! OOh errr. Not sure I like the speed of that - am I just being paranoid? Is there really no waiting list for a mole man?

Paddlechick666 · 16/04/2007 19:59

evening all

thanks for the well wishes, i'm definately feeling better than i was. got a dr's appt for tomorrow tho.

sue, am sure the mole-man is just not very busy right now.

mrsb, not sure about 5th yet but will let you know asap. being a long weekend i might go up to my mum's. depending on their plans i could come via yours tho....

supper then bed i think.......

quokka · 16/04/2007 20:52

SJ I think its great that your seeing someone so quickly. Try not to worry, its just best to check them out straight away, well thats been my experience anyway. Your talking to a veteran here I've had over 20 taken out .

PC glad your feeling a bit better now

quokka · 16/04/2007 20:52

Puds still have the highchair, do you remember it from when you came over?

quokka · 16/04/2007 20:53

SJ meant to say you may not even have to have it removed!

foxcub · 16/04/2007 20:54

Quokka - yeah I can do that! When is best for you? Kids are off school all this week.

hi everyone else

Sue - some conditopns just get fast tracked on NHS (amazingly) I had a breast lump 2 years ago - gp said "don't worry about this - it is nothing" but I was seen at hossie 5 days later "just in case". It was nothing. I believe its the same with moley skin things. Quite reassuring really. It'll be zapped and out of your life in no time

paddle - hope you are feeling on the mend - or if not, hope your gp gives you some good drugs.

MrsD - LOL that's the kind of thing I would do - all dressed up and nowhere to go

quokka · 16/04/2007 20:57

what about Wed foxy?

foxcub · 16/04/2007 21:04

Weds is fine - can I pop over between feeds?

normally about 8am (get kids dressed) 11am, 2pm, 5pm but can let you know in morning what his schedule is (he feeds every 3 hours to the minute! )

is that Ok or am I being an awkward bastard?

quokka · 16/04/2007 21:19

Well I'm looking after ds's friend from 3pm so anytime before that would be great. If you get stuck I have a great chair sit on while bf - oh the hours I've sat in that chair.

pudding77 · 16/04/2007 21:28

Quokka - I do remember the chair, its similar to mine but a newer make I think. Problem with mine is not all the straps are removable and the seat cover is ripped down the side so food gets inside it [yuk] so makes it hard to keep clean. Is yours better?

2Cute · 16/04/2007 22:19

I'm really glad my DH isn't the only one suffering from SOD syndrome. Its reassuring to know there are others... SFX - Sounds like you've got a good one, can he give lessons?

Sue - mole? Must've missed that one. Good luck with the zapping.

Paddle - Glad you're feeling a bit better.

Foxie - well done for getting out and about!

We had the paddling pool out today but it takes ages to get even ankle height water in there because its quite big. Advice from paddling pool experts please: Is there anyway of keeping the water warm or quick way of warming it if left overnight?

suejonez · 16/04/2007 22:27

Not sure they're going to zap it - has been zapped off and cut off and has still regrown. My theory (for those rude enough not to read back far enough ) is that it is an alien life form...

suejonez · 16/04/2007 22:28

re paddling pool - throw the toaster in and plug it in... gets hot quite quickly I would guess (you know I'm joking right )

suejonez · 16/04/2007 22:33

and before you complain too much about SOD syndrome... the alternative could be (paddle will identify)

get up every morning at 6.30 - no lie in... ever
get up yourself every night DS wakes, forever
stay at home and fantasise about chocolate of an evening when you realise you desperately want some and can't go out and get some because DS is in bed
never have any photos of me and DS in the same shot because there's no-one to take them

and no, I'm not going to torment you with "oh woe is me" everytime you moan about your DH's I know how bloody annoying they can be!

mellow2 · 17/04/2007 07:35

PC,
Glad you're feeling better.

Sue,
Good luck with the mole. Sure it's nothing.

Would anyone like to meet up today?

OP posts:
quokka · 17/04/2007 08:45

if its any use SJ I'm never in any photos its always dh, as I take them!

A bit busy today Mellow but you can pop around for a tea and cake tomorrow, anybody else is welcome. Especially if you want to take some stuff to lighten our load to S'pore

sfxmum · 17/04/2007 09:00

good morning all

i need my own room dh's snoring and dd endless talking 'oh no whats happen?!'keeping me awake.

sue - best to have it checked early always.
and since we are on prevention everyone do their smears and HPV test - that is my personal crusade.

foxie - respect!

don't think i will go out today apart from maybe the shop later

hello everyone else

Paddlechick666 · 17/04/2007 09:05

what's happened to the weather? i've even managed to dig out some 3/4 length trousers - not that they fit me anymore but at least i can wear a belt.

should i be worried that i've lost 10kg since the end of jan?

dr at 10:30 then a quick tesco run for bread etc then i think i'll head to kew retail this arvo.

want to get dd's feet measured.

anybody got any .5 or 1.5 tog grobags 18m+ they want to get rid of? don't really want to buy new altho the ziplock feature is attractive.

dd regularly gets out of the bag and this morning was half out of her pjs too! mind you, at least the activity keeps her quiet for an extra few mins in the morning!
