Brand new thread for a new month.

OP posts:
foxcub · 11/04/2007 21:26

Quokka - do you think I could get your man to zap my chin warty lumpy ugly bugly witchy things?

My GP doesn't think they're a problem but when I look in the morror they are all I can see

sfx - wanna come over for a play in the park and a cuppa one day soon? name your day (not tomorrow though, my friend who has been in Belize and is going to Beirut is coming over )

Paddle/Sue - sorry you are feeling poorly (thinks "I bloody well hope they haven't infected me")

COV - my whole family suffers from insomnia. Seriosuly, we all have sleep probs like the one you describe - its a real pain isn't it when you're lying there in the early hours and can't get to sleep, knowing you have to get up in a couple of hours...

anyway - big event today: Monti gave me his first smile - deffo a toothless smile, with eye contact etc, rather than a windy burp! My hear leapt - I am deffo in love

apart from that we had a lovely walk by the river (near you sfx) then kids played footie in the garden with their friends

suejonez · 11/04/2007 21:46

do you have a warty lumpy thingy on your chin then foxie? I must have a good stare at it next time

foxcub · 11/04/2007 21:52

sue i can't believe you haven't noticed it - its like another head growing....

suejonez · 11/04/2007 21:53

guess I haven;t paid much attention to your chin then foxie - must have a closer look...

foxcub · 11/04/2007 21:54

omg!

Paddlechick666 · 11/04/2007 22:02

i've never noticed anything ugly and bugly about your chin either foxie!

well it's definately a cold, i am sneezing and totally stuffed up and can't stop sniffing this evening.

my mother thinks i should have some medised!

FFS!

nice to hear that Monti's smiling already - what a cutie!

suejonez · 11/04/2007 22:11

paddle I took a third of a bottle of emdised for my sinuses when in Kaz and medication was thin on the ground (did the trick).

We can peer at Foxie's warty chin together next time.

stepfordwife · 11/04/2007 22:41

foxie..wart are you on about?!

ahhh, such a magical moment that first "proper" smile, eh?

sfxmum · 12/04/2007 09:07

aah the first smile!dd's warranted phone calls to family with the announcement, first time parent or what?still it is just so amazing.

foxie - will do, also busy today with family. can't say i have noticed warts. i have many imperfections on my face that no longer really bother me

paddle/ sue hope you are not feeling worst today

hi everyone else

suejonez · 12/04/2007 09:43

no i'm no worse - makes me convinced its sinuses - will buy some otrivine today and try it tonihgt.

My mum brought DS to meet me off the train yesterday. So sweet - I could see him looking for me in the carriages before I got off. Ahhh. Think he was more interested in the trian though!

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 09:52

morning all

well i am somewhat less nasally challenged this morning - probably due to using dd's snuffle baby on my chest last night!

now i just have an annoying cough, a thumping headache and a need for a lifetime's sleep.

what a misog I am!

btw, having to cancel trip to Kew on Tuesday with my babywearing mates. BF flies in from NZ after her father's funeral and has asked me to pick her up.

i know i mentioned the kew trip to a couple of you so just wanted to let you know.

foxcub · 12/04/2007 10:46

Paddle - well why can't we just meet your friends without you? LOL

Sue - am considering taking up the niquab now! actually my trillion freckles probably dilute and blur any imperfections acyway! (Quokka - I want your man's number! )

Stepford/sfx - my Mum got the call last night "oooh your grandson did his first smile today". He tried another one this morning - so sweet

I read a couple of days ago that new Mum's spend on average 5.5 hours a day staring at their newborns!

Is that all?

foxcub · 12/04/2007 12:21

where is everyone?

My Brest Friend just arrived; tried it on and the lowwer back support thingy feels marvellous

quokka · 12/04/2007 12:59

foxy he did it as a sneaky favour, as I see him on the nhs . But there are places where you go to get things zapped??

Am having a major clearout if anyone is interested in the following

Boys clothes 0 - 12months (free)
soft toys (free)
Mamas and papas prima papa highchair - in funky stripes (£30)
Kyham Tent - huge! (£?)
Car seat, maxi cosi henry 9 months - 4yrs (not until we sell the car) £?

Thats it for now but will have loads more, just thought I would offer it to you all before the masses

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 13:24

tell me more about your tent Ms Quokka....

foxcub · 12/04/2007 14:16

Quokka - boys clothes 0-12months of interest to DS2

BTW does your man take private patients or could my GP refer me to him? My prob is that my GP doesn't think my witchy warts are an issue and I do so may have to pay, but of course most NHS consultants do private work now too....just wondering really

suejonez · 12/04/2007 14:18

paddle- tis a piece of cloth containing no solid walls or floor and no electricity or running water. Get yourself a hotel instead or a caravan, much more civilised. Camping is spawn of the devil.

foxcub · 12/04/2007 14:26

Sue I couldn't agree more

quokka · 12/04/2007 14:29

pmsl SJ.
Its is a top of the range Kyham, huge living space with two pods that attach to that. You can use one or two pods at a time, comes with groundsheet. It is HUGE you could park a car the middle living sapce and dh can stand up in it no prob (he's 6"3). I'm pretty sure its the ultimate classic quick erect. you can look here

quokka · 12/04/2007 14:30

foxy will put them aside for you

quokka · 12/04/2007 14:31

I'm not sure he has a zapper at his surgery foxy, I see him at Chelsea West because I have been referred. I have the details of his gp surgery though, I can email them to you?

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 14:41

shettup sue - i likes camping!

but i likes the quick erect better fnaar fnaar!

am looking at link.....

suejonez · 12/04/2007 14:45

why? whats your aversion to running water, flushing toilets and lights?

Eleusis · 12/04/2007 15:01

"Quick erect?" Are we talking tents or men?

foxcub · 12/04/2007 15:18

oh I like my creature comforts - never really understood why anyone would go camping - but that's probably just because I've never been.

Slept in fields, hills and hay lofts but never with a tent! Perhaps that's why I'm put off!

Quokka thanx. Do you fancy a cuppa tomorrow or next week maybe? Thought maybe you and sfx could come over so DS2 could meet you?

We have to register Monti's birth tomorrow - can't believe he'll be six weeks old on Tuesday !!

Am hoping to send DH to registry office as I can't be arsed driving there.....
