ps jokes about penises are a bit lost on me atm LOL!

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 15:25

uho! i think i'm in lust with that tent!

camping is brilliant! i love it!

most campsites have running water these days and believe me it's bloody cheap!

foxcub · 12/04/2007 15:26

cheap sounds good!!

will have to camp one day, just so kids can experience it

quokka · 12/04/2007 15:27

what are you like! I was referring to the tent, its called that because its super easy to put up. Although I highly reccomend watching the video instructions. DH didn't and it was a nightmare the first time.

quokka · 12/04/2007 15:28

you have to go to blackberry wood - its beautiful. Very small campsite, you can have a fire and you don't see other tents or people because you are actually in the woods!

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 15:28

how much Q?

we decided last summer we needed something bigger but i never actually got around to flogging the one we currently have....

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 15:29

where's that then?

suejonez · 12/04/2007 15:32

if DS wants to experience camping he will be joining the scouts (or alternatively hoidaying with Paddle family whilst I go to a Spa)

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 15:39

he will be more than welcome!

Eleusis · 12/04/2007 16:01

Camping is fun! I love it. But, haven't been in a million years.

Do we have a night out coming up? Or did April get ditched for the do at the jonez house? And when is that?

quokka · 12/04/2007 16:27

will ask dh how much - we bought off ebay last year, its only been used a couple of times by us and them.

quokka · 12/04/2007 16:44

actually pc its this one , but we have 2 pods for it, which cna go onthe side or back. Each pod sleeps 4 and can be divided into 2 iykwim?

quokka · 12/04/2007 17:17

foxy have a lovely playmat its a huge leaf with a big detatchable catapillar that they can lean on when starting to sit up(its bendy so can it can really support them) , and it makes various noises - interested?

sfxmum · 12/04/2007 17:24

oh i need a tent but guess i am too late although that one seems too big.
we will be camping late july

quokka · 12/04/2007 17:40

it does feel like a 2 bedroon house to be honest . But you never know when it will rain and we wanted to be comfortable if it was

quokka · 12/04/2007 17:44

where are you going sfx

sfxmum · 12/04/2007 17:49

we are going to Womad which is in Wiltshire this year and probably move on to somewhere near the sea for the rest of the week.

our tent is tiny and falling apart it has seen too many glastos and reading festivals and is seriously not suitable for children.

quokka · 12/04/2007 17:51

have you got a top box or a big car?

quokka · 12/04/2007 17:52

we had to buy a top box after we bought the tent, even packed up its big!

sfxmum · 12/04/2007 17:54

oh no, no car that is why i said too big, we rent or borrow cars when we need it and usually go for the smallest we can manage. we always look to pack small although with a child that is pretty hard

quokka · 12/04/2007 18:23

I can't wait to sell the car - we wont get one in S'pore either .

Anyone want to buy a Top Box and Roof Racks???

What about a car? Mercedes estate, 2 owners, r rg (i think)

bunyanvillas · 12/04/2007 20:26

Hello

sfxmum · 12/04/2007 20:49

whatis up with you young lady? finished all easter chocs?

Paddlechick666 · 12/04/2007 20:57

evening all

sfx, you could borrow our tent for womad. it's still quite big with 2 sleeping compartments and a general middle living area. packs up reasonably small a bit shorter but wider than a travel cot iyswim. heavier tho!

bunyanvillas · 12/04/2007 21:10

Whoops sorry SFX - it was just a moment of pique - everything is fine although I did arrive home from work to find that dh had consumed my emergency creme egg! We are supposed to be going away tomorrow but he ended up at A&E at 6am this morning! He is fine, it's a virus and he has been given some large pills - but am unsure as to whether or not he will be fit to fly. Well, it is Friday 13th tomorrow ... so perhaps we are all better off staying in bed!
