Brand new thread for a new month.

OP posts:
foxcub · 11/04/2007 13:20

gorgeous - not grogious

suejonez · 11/04/2007 13:21

did someone break your stripey chair then

ComeOVeneer · 11/04/2007 15:18

Well Bushy park was a disaster. Drove there with ds crying the entire way (tired but refused to fall asleep). Got there and couldn't find a parking space for love nor money, so returned home, now dd is playing up to (disappointed). Ended up having the picnic at the playground at the bottom of our road. Just got back and have finally got ds to sleep in his cot.

quokka · 11/04/2007 15:24

Well I had a great day (sorry Cov) - had my mole removed, and as a leaving present he zapped this spot I've had on the end of my nose. Its been there for years, I know other people don't notice it, but its been bugging me for years. He even suggested I come and see him for next to no money to finally work out whats been going on with my wrists. He is is a super doctor, wish he was comng to S'pore!

suejonez · 11/04/2007 15:34

you have a doctor who does wrists and moles? What is his specialism exactly???

xoxo · 11/04/2007 15:36

well, some people might go and spend time at hairdressers etc but not our Quokka. Oh no, getting zapped just for fun!!

CoV: we were at bushy park this morning (well from 11am - 3pm) and it was not so bad but once teh car park get sfull you're in trouble as there really si nowhere else in walking distance is there?

am v of all you guys meeting up - must get my act together. still have not met foxcub....

mellow - nice to see you yesterday, sorry we were so distracted but ds has a tendancy to go to the 'magic doors' at Mothercare and M&S - it scares me witless. dd now decided she loves them too

quokka · 11/04/2007 15:46

He is actually now a GP but does a special clinic at Chelsea westminster for minor ops (he leaves very little scarring and plays music and talks non stop so you don't actually notice he is cutting and stitching you up.

He got very sick a few years ago with cancer and took a career break, but has come back and is now interested in ortho. Ive been seeing him for 7yrs and he is fantastic, even working while having chemo.

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:07

I think I know him (seriously!) he lives in Barnes and is a friend of my sister (I think you mentioned his name earlier and I've just clicked who he is). I nearly got him to do my adoption medical privately when I was getting gief from my GP. My sister says he is very very nice (wasn;t he very ill and not expected to survive at one point?) - I didn;t realise he was working again.

Paddlechick666 · 11/04/2007 16:25

6 degrees of seperation you know.

why am i soooo tired? i feel like someone's siphoned off my life force and left me an empty shell.

everything is a such a huge effort......

ComeOVeneer · 11/04/2007 16:30

What's up Paddle?

We simply left it too late to get a space (only arrived at 12.30), should have realised.

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:35

I'm not sleepoing well at the moment - think my sinuses are playing up again. I can;t even blame it on DS as he is sleeping like an angel at the moment. I'm bloody tired and have a headache. You have infected me Paddle - I blame it all on you...

ComeOVeneer · 11/04/2007 16:37

I have had sleep problems for years, (even before children). I can fall asleep no problem but regularly wake up in the early hoursand remain awake for 2-3 hours it is so fustrating. I have just learnt tofunction in a sleep deprived manner.

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:43

I am not prone to sleeping problems and am very grumpy when I get them - am waking up every couple of hours at the moment (with very dry mouth - hence think its my sinuses)

Paddlechick666 · 11/04/2007 16:52

have felt crap all day - actually think it's another cold. have been sneezing like mad.

i just want to lie down and sleep for a year or two.

go to bed early exhausted and then sleep badly too.

woe is me! woe is me!

i have not infected you Jonez!

Paddlechick666 · 11/04/2007 16:53

and i keep getting brain shivers and a sort of rushing in my ears...

very odd

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:53

have too

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:53

you have too infected me, that is

sfxmum · 11/04/2007 16:55

hello all

paddle last time i felt like that i was pregnant, would you like to share? sorry, maybe iron levels, commoproblem in women.

my only sleep problem is that i am a light sleeper and dh snores, and last night same idiot had a huge row with his girfriend near my window which ended up with police involved.

we had a nice day visiting relatives in north london, dd loves going on the train so that was ok, she was given yet more chocolate which is safely in the cuipboard to be rationed.

we have other relatives visiting tomorrow much to dd's delight she loves the teen cousins who keep her entertained and i can have a nice chat with my sister

mellow hope yoou feel better soon, same for 2cute, be nice to see you around sound.
also sorry i missed the fox get together must see that cub before he starts walking

suejonez · 11/04/2007 16:55

the rushing in your ears and brain shivers is what the medical profession call "thinking". If you ignore it, it will go away eventually

sfxmum · 11/04/2007 16:59

oh clearly i need a rest

blood rushing? you mean like you are alive?

quokka · 11/04/2007 18:52

sj, he is the loviest man I have ever met, it was heartbreaking to see him so sick, but he was always so positive and upbeat. It must be the same doc because he gave me his surgery address in Barnes to check my wrist out.

quokka · 11/04/2007 18:53

sj when I wake up with a dry mouth its because I'm hungover!

suejonez · 11/04/2007 19:38

not me quokka - susie the lush no longer , generally means I have been breathing through my mouth (AKA snoring) because my sinuses are blocked.

Think my sis knows him and his wife well. IIRC their DS's were at shcool together at one point (maybe still, I can;t remember) I must tell her you're using him.

nopudstilleaster · 11/04/2007 19:59

evening all

Sue - told dh about your ds and mine and he said to let it carry on so our ds will toughen up a bit !

Quokka - missed your dh, take it he got the boxes ok?

Hello to everyone else, hope you're all ok/getting better

Paddlechick666 · 11/04/2007 20:12

sfx, definatley not! the evidence of which isn't helping matters LOL.

actually, boring tho it is, i just think i have another cold.......

ho hum!
