Brand new thread for a new month.

Hi everyone

I posted a message earlier with DH's name in by mistake, then managed to post the same message twice more

DH took DC's to Kew also and they came home laden with eggs (last year they only got one measly cream egg - this year they got two big eggs and a cream egg!)

So is there another hunt at Ham House tomorrow then Bunyan?

Do you know what time?

If we were going, which we might, I'd park in Meadlands Road, off Sandy Lane, and then walk down to Ham House. My Dad lives on Sandy Lane and its about 10 minutes from ham House.

SFX/Mellow - hope to see you Tues or Weds.

Went to my book club today and it seemed really strange being with grown ups - I have been Babymooning for a whole month now. Monti was sooo good and charmed the book clubbers with his contentedness

mellow2 · 09/04/2007 08:01

foxcub, sfx,

Tue or Wed wil be fine. Fingers crossed the weather will be nice.

PC,
I agree with sfx. Your dh's ex is evil to be using her kids like that.

Btw, how do you go about deleting a message once you've sent it? I have never worked out how you do it.

foxcub · 09/04/2007 11:47

Mellow - if you click on the exclamation mark in the top right hand corner of your post, then you can send a message to MN HQ asking them to delete the message if you like

Eleusis · 09/04/2007 18:09

Hi everyone. No time to catch up. Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Just getting this thread back into my active conversations.

bunyanvillas · 09/04/2007 19:34

Gosh, sorry Foxie have only just read your post now! Yes, there was an egg hunt today but while we went to Ham, we didn't participate but did our own! It was all v nice and relaxed Thanks also for your parking tips - as one might have guessed, the parking was a joke so I ended up parking nr the palm house. Paddle, your pics are lovely dd and I are not around until next Tues but hopefully if any of you are around then, we could meet up. I never seem to manage to keep up with all the meets. Off to visit a friend with a newborn in Barnes tomorrow so am preparing for the ensuing broodiness to strike!

Paddlechick666 · 09/04/2007 19:58

glad you guys like the photos, it was a lovely day.

actually, we skipped the science museum and went to the aquarium. won't be going there again........

sfx, have only just mastered the wrap (and maybe "mastered" is a little optimistic!) but happy to show you what I can do.

it is so nice leaving the buggy behind. definately possible for an entire day if you've got someone to share the load with.

dh is loving wearing dd so we take turns, not sure i could do a whole day out on my own tho. need to get to grips with the back carry. got a new sling on it's way which I think will work better......

anyways, any plan for tomorrow yet? got some domestic jobs to do but apart from that we're free.

nopudstilleaster · 09/04/2007 20:02

Evening all, haven't read the thread so no idea what's been going on! Hope everyone had a nice easter anyway

Been busy with in-laws and last minute shopping this weekend and enjoying the weather of course! Think ds has loved having dh around for 4 days.

Anyone free this week? I'm around tues/weds/thurs if anyone wants to meet up.

suejonez · 09/04/2007 22:04

hello all - shattered form weekend away so off to bed now but might be around tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants to meet. social worker visit in the morning and just realised that I haven;t told my boss that I'm taking the day off tomorrow as he's been on holiday so I made a unilateral decision!

Hoep you all had a nice weekend - mine was nice, strange but nice, will expand more later...

quokka · 10/04/2007 08:36

just a quick one - hope you all had a great easter!

Puds will come and collect some of those boxes if they are still up for grabs?

nopudstilleaster · 10/04/2007 08:38

Hi quokka, we still have them. When do you want to come by?

sfxmum · 10/04/2007 09:55

morning all

dd seems to be settling into sleep by 9.30 wake up 8.30-9 which suits us just fine

dd really enjoyed having daddy around for 4days we are planning on making it to Womad this year for her first camping experience, can't wait.

how are you today foxie up for it?
otherwise i will be heading out to kew to enjoy the sun. must sort out some food first.

hope you are all well

nopudstilleaster · 10/04/2007 10:15

Not sure what we're up to today, ds's daytime naps have been a bit all over the place the last few days so will probably stay home this morning and then head out this afternoon somewhere.

MrsBigD · 10/04/2007 10:16

How's everybody? Hope you all had a good Easter. We've got chocolate overload

sfxmum · 10/04/2007 10:58

hi mrsD dd was given loads of choc and we had to help her with it
hope you are well

we def heading out soon dd will sleep whenever usually mid afternoon and i really fancy fresh air

MrsRecycle · 10/04/2007 10:58

Fine MrsBigD! Hi everyone - again no time to catch up but hope you had a lovely Easter.

If anyone's after gossip then I've some - I've just sacked my Au Pair . She's just walked out now. What went wrong you ask? She just would not listen to a bloody word I was saying. dh, ds and I came back from a lovely weekend away last night and she'd left the kitchen a mess, the computer on (logged on to her mail) and I checked her messages and she described us as Weird for giving her a set bedtime. Well if she'd come home the night before she was looking after the kids, we wouldn't have set a curfew of midnight. Also, she had her bf to stay on a school night and didn't even ask us .

So anyone know of any Au Pairs??? Eleusis I might need to borrow your AuPair world log-in as mine has expired.

foxcub · 10/04/2007 11:02

Hi everyone

Woke at 9.30am today which was great. Not even dressed yet and DS2's next feed is at 12.30 so realistically won't be in circulation until this arvo.

Paddle/sfx/mellow/sue - you around?

All welcome to come over to ours and play in garden with kids if you like, or we could meet in Kew? May be meeting stepfordwife too hopefully this arvo.

Hope to see you later

sfxmum · 10/04/2007 11:24

goodness mrsR that is taking the piss! the youth these days... in my day... sorry can't help hope you find someone reliable soon.

hi foxie we are nearly ready to pop out but dd is mesmerised by 'in the night garden' will try and get going, think Kew would be nice in a day like this, do you need pushing out the door?
ahem encouragement i mean, oh dear!

Eleusis · 10/04/2007 11:26

Oh no, Mrs R!!! The membership is for greataupair.com. Get a Canadian. They are fab! (as you know)

It would probably be best if you fill out your own profile and people to your hot list, let me know who they are, and I'll get you their e-mail addresses. Otherwise, the profile swap could get really comfusing!

Oh gosh. I was just thinking of you last night and wondering how you were getting on with her. How are you? It is so stressful sacking them. But, then you've been there before so mayb it's not so bad second time around.

Eleusis · 10/04/2007 11:29

Oh.... are you due back at work soon? Has this put a spanner in the works?!

Paddlechick666 · 10/04/2007 11:34

waiting to hear from sue this end, she was off to tesco then coming here. will see what she says.

think we're a bit kew'd out but if that's the majority decision then i guess could be swayed.

actually i feel completely exhausted today luckily dd is being an angel.

mrsD, glad to hear the easter bunny knew you'd moved!

mrsR, what a nightmare about the AP. hope you get something else sorted asap.

sfxmum · 10/04/2007 11:44

well dd wants to walk by the river to the playground, she might want kew later which is fine just a few minutes walk via bretford gate
have a nice day all
