Had to create a new thread as we've already filled the old one!

2cute, I would love to meet up with you and your ds but I have my NCT coffee this afternoon and once ds has woken up from his nap, I have to go sort out my MIL's bday present.

Are you free next week at all?

sfxmum · 23/02/2007 18:32

well dd fell asleep on my lap as i typed

my goodness paddle that is scary, i am quite obsessive about checking on dd and so is dh
he has a mild for of apnea which regularly scares me although i have grown used to it

foxabout2pop · 23/02/2007 19:17

Paddle - that must be nerve wracking for you; I didn't realise about the apnea! Thanks for the pic of DS and DD - they don't really look like siblings do they?

Lemon cake was lovely and we had a great afternoon at 2cutes with her seriously too cute son.

Thanks 2cute!!

Thinking about going to Housnlow Fram Tuesday arvo too if you're around - and anyone else!!

MrsR - thanks for that. My feeling is that it'll be the middle of next week, but hey, who knows???

Have been avidly watching the news and no sign of DH and DS yet. DS was holding the Aboriginal flag apparently

2Cute · 23/02/2007 19:22

It was lovely having you and DD round foxi . DS's telling DH, "look at all the mess Dadda, me and did it ALL by ourselves!" He's so chuffed with himself! She's adorable BTW!

Lemon cake was good thanks Paddle. (Any cake tastes good to me TBH!) Had it been just me it would have been a BIG fat slice but couldn't really do that in front of a yummy mummy could I?!

I'm going to be really organised and make the party bags up this weekend so I don't do the usual 2cute thing and panick last minute! Am quite excited now, my little chap'll be 3! where did the time go....

suejonez · 23/02/2007 19:56

Next week:

Monday morning - I have important social worker review to decide how oftern they are going to visit us going forward (keep your fingers crossed for 6-weekly as currently once a week)
Tuesday - working DS at CM
Rest of week - other than on call for Monti, I am free for social events.

Not sure about Hounslow farm - would like somewhere D can crawl about as he's so busy I need to wear him out. I guess it would be Ok if the weather is fine. Otherwise anyone want to escort me for my first visit to Lollipop club?

suejonez · 23/02/2007 19:58

Who saw Foxies DS... is he officially an "elder" then (v impressed!), heard about it on the radio this morning. Did he stage a sit in with DS?

suejonez · 23/02/2007 19:58

of course meant Foxies DH not DS - I assume DS is not yet an elder!

Paddlechick666 · 23/02/2007 20:32

foxie, just sent 3rd pic. tried to watch bbc news but didn't see anything.

dh is coming tomorrow with the skids. am looking forward to seeing him but am a bit miffed that his visits co-incide with having the skids

will have some items to discuss that's for sure.

might have a swedish friend to stay with her little girl next week. arriving 3rd march! sue, may need to borrow the micro-buggy back. will keep you posted.

2cute, deff won't have skids for your ds's party now. hope your back is better - am sure the cake helped!

pudding77 · 23/02/2007 20:37

Not had chance to watch the news yet but will do at 9 to see if I can spot them!

Sue - I'm free Thursday if you'd like to go to lollipop. However, I'd probably be getting there for around 11-ish which is when your ds naps isn't it?

2cute - shall we meet on Tuesday?

OP posts:
ComeOVeneer · 23/02/2007 20:51

But mine had a better title and it is my borthday [pout emoticon].

pudding77 · 23/02/2007 21:05

Paddle - hope you have a good weekend with dh & the kids.

CoV - I'm sorry your thread wasn't used, it was the better title, there there . How was your dinner btw?

I'm off to ready the house in preparation for FIL & nephew who are coming to stay tomorrow night.

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 23/02/2007 21:06

thanks pud.

CoV what are you doing on here on yer birfday?

suejonez · 23/02/2007 21:08

What thread Cov? [confused emoticon]

Would love to try for Thursday - perhaps will try to keep him up and do one nap later. Ill see how he is in the week coming up to that. Also depends how early he is up that day whether he can hang out past 11am.

suejonez · 23/02/2007 21:09

no worries about the buggy Padle - let me know.

ComeOVeneer · 23/02/2007 21:10

We had a delicious dinner of fresh crab, ailoli (sp) baguette and salad with chardonnay. Dh has just cleared up and is watching tv and my sister should be here in about 1/2 hour.

pudding77 · 23/02/2007 21:10

Sue, when the old thread filled up there were a few too many of us eager (or desperate) to start the next one so we've ended up with about 4!!

OP posts:
pudding77 · 23/02/2007 21:10

Right, I'm really going now...

OP posts:
suejonez · 23/02/2007 21:14

aha - well don;t get too offended - i just clicked on the link on another thread (hint for the future for the competitive thread starters amongst you)

2Cute · 23/02/2007 22:16

Sue - Thursday sounds good. Any earlier than 11am and the place will be swarming. It quietens down around 12ish.

Pud - Tuesday'll be great. We could do Hounslow Farm as Foxi's up for it as well (if she hasn't popped by then) and Paddle's off work. Sue, will you be free in the aftn to come along? Don't worry, we'll help tire DS out!

Paddle - Really hope you have a great weekend, God knows you deserve it!

foxabout2pop · 23/02/2007 22:24

Sue - I'll be around with DD Tues (Hounslow Farm?), Weds and Thurs. She finishes nursery at 11.45, but I need to do school pick up at 3pm, so am free in between. I bet she'd love to go to the Lollipop Club. How long does your DS nap for atm?

2cute - DD told me "I like that little boy, he made a big mess, but I didn't like it when he knocked my tower down".

BTW Would he like a blue toy buggy for his birthday? DS used to push one round with a toy alien in it

Paddle - yeah I bet you'll have a few things to discuss with DH! I'm glad he's coming over though...do you get a chance to talk with the skids around?

Well I am so knackered and my pelvis is very painful

have been watching news all evening with no sign of my menfolk yet

LOL - Sue you know darn well I am married to an "elder" man!!

sfxmum · 23/02/2007 22:43

do any of you have a number for a reliable plumber who might be able to come out tomorrow and not charge the earth? pretty please?

i think we have big trouble coming up!

sfxmum · 23/02/2007 22:48

and many thanks in advance

suejonez · 23/02/2007 22:58

sorry SFX but let me know if you get one.

Foxie - I know he is an elder but is he an "elder" - does he have some kind of kitemark or vote or something?!

D is currently sleeping about 11-12 so 12ish would suit me fine (would have to give him lunch on the run but thats OK.

The only problem with the farm is that if its like Bocketts, he can't really crawl around because the floor is too filthy even for my sluttish ways, which means he is either strapped in a buggy which drives him mad after a while or I have to carry him which drives me mad after a while. I wonder if farms visits for him are best left until either the weather is better (and therefore floor not so muddy) or until he's walking (which won't be long at this rate). Those of you who know it - is it really OK for crawlers rather than walkers?

Definitely up for Lollipop lunchtime'ish on Thursday

foxabout2pop · 23/02/2007 23:03

Sue - if I haven't popped by Thursday I can deffo meet you at Lollipop at 12 noon ish. DD can bring a packed lunch and they also sell food there - but more sandwiches, cake, coffee etc. Your DS will love it

haven't been to Hounslow Farm but can really appreciate what you're saying - having seen your DS crwaling at Bocketts. It was quite - well, farmy there wasn't it???

I like the idea of farms and country living, but hate the reality of smelly pigs and poo etc!!

foxabout2pop · 23/02/2007 23:04

SFX - Quokka knows a plumber called Dan - have you her mobile no?

sfxmum · 23/02/2007 23:12

foxie thanks for that but no i don't have her number i am starting to get worried about the water coming through the wall/ ceiling it will cost a lot at the weekend but i don't think i can wait

on another note i might do lollipop at some point next week too it's been a while.

about farms i think dd is at the right age to start enjoying it but there were plenty of other activities there which would have been too much for her, i took her to the zoo when she was on but i don't think she got much out of it then
