I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

all the best,

x

Hi.

Have not been on MN since Christmas and so have only just caught up with this thread (thanks Fennel for letting me know).
I can do Sat 17th Feb and will let 2 others who don't post on MN know about the meet up. Am seeing Baysmum tomorrow morning so will remind her also.

Look forward to it

xxxx

pageturner, will you bring another patricia highsmith's novel?

Greensleeves · 30/01/2007 13:07

You don't go to the Methodist Church one on Mondays, do you?

pageturner · 30/01/2007 13:13

Well, franca, I could do.... May have to see if i can come up with something better. Suggestions welcome!

franca70 · 30/01/2007 13:18

I loved little tales of misogyny and edith's diary. unless of course you want to change genre...

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 15:07

greensleeves- guess what? i do!!!!!!!!!!! was the hair thing a giveaway?! which one are you? or rather, who's mummy are you? x btw i am the tall one with the short (messy !!!) blonde hair

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 17:07

crikey- anyone there? shall i consider myself uninvited now you poss know who i am in rl?!!! ha ha ha

Greensleeves · 30/01/2007 17:25

I am plump/medium height/longish brown hair, usually in a messy bun - my little boy is 2.6 and has a blond page boy cut and a strawberry mrk above one eye, I used to bring my other son who is 4 but also has a blond page boy - so whose mummy are you? And do you recognise me?

This is freaky

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 18:02

mmm, not sure, will ask my friend. your little boy sounds familiar- you dont go every week do you?
i bring my little girl- aged just 2, she has blond/strawberry blond hair in a bob with a fringe and is good friends with another little girl with very blond babyish hair.

i usually go with my friend who is tall with dark long hair.

i'm not very confident about approaching new people so usually just talk to her, not being unfriendly,
i just find it difficult!

indeed this is very very weird, and i really want to say- 'my name is... and my daughter is ...' because i think youd know me by the name of my little girl- perhaps thats a big enough clue...!

bigger clue- her name is that of a country!!!!

franca70 · 30/01/2007 18:03

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

franca70 · 30/01/2007 18:08

sorry, x posted, what a coincidence!

Greensleeves · 30/01/2007 18:29

Ah - in which case I do know what you look like (your dd is gorgeous!) but I don't think we have spoken. I used to go regularly with my ds1, but have only been taking ds2 for a few weeks really.

Baysmum · 30/01/2007 18:40

Dont mean to freak you out further Ivelostmy etc etc but I also think yo sound familiar!! Did we meet at our Dps xmas do in a hotel in Torquay?? Ignore me if Im wrong but by the way you describe yourself and 3 kids I've just got a feeling.......(and i dont know bloody anybody here so it is a freaky coincidence if Im right!!!)

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 18:40

oh thanks! i THINK i know who your lovely little boy is but not sure what you look like but am sure will recognise you. mind you i'm always recognising people and telling them i know them then it turns out they might have served me on the till at sainsburys a few times! am still blaming all that on preg hormones (even tho that was nearly 3 yrs ago!!!)

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 18:44

baysmum- of course- omg!!!! i was thinking earlier- i know someone with a child of that name and couldnt think who it was! blimey how weird is that?! have you made it to toddlers yet then? not seen you there but have missed a couple of weeks through kids being ill.
crikey, i get around a bit dont i?!!!!!
ps dh thinks i am a saddo computer geek nerd for my current MN obsession. bet our dps will be comparing notes tomorrow!

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 18:46

anyone else thinks they might know me?!!!!

Baysmum · 30/01/2007 18:47

So glad i was right otherwise looked like a crazy/stalker type mad person! How can you forget bay's ridiculous name!!!??(and the ridiculous person who gave it him)!! Havent made it on a Monday yet as got confused about groups but me and a friend are looking for something to do on a MOn morning! Hope you are well, looks like I'll be seeing you soon anyway at meet up - yay!

fennel · 30/01/2007 19:15

so far I don't think so Ivelostmyboobsboohoo. or maybe I need more clues

HelloMama · 30/01/2007 19:18

This sounds like a good night out. I also wonder if there will be anyone I know going - Exeter is a small place! Has anyone else grown up here and attended any of the secondary schools? Does anyone go to Belmont toddler group on a wednesday??

Coco4 · 30/01/2007 19:54

Baysmun, i think we may have met briefly also! It was last summer and i went to meet my dp and dd in the cafe in st Leonards, i was with dd1 and your ds loved the toys in the pram.Might be totaly off the track here!! might be moving sooner now as everything is in place, just want to get there now.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 30/01/2007 20:51

wow, whats going on here? it truly is very bizarre- does this often happen do you think? i mean exter is small compared to like london but its not THAT small! and mumsnet (or NERDSNET as dh likes to call it- how funny he is) is HUGE!
really looking forward to night out now.
ds2 bday tomorrow- he'll be 4- and i have a mountain of stuff to do mainly involving paper crap prizes and rotyerteeth sweeties!
speak soon ladies
hellomama- i went to mount st marys sec school- think its now magdalen court. went to primary school out in t'sticks

Coco4 · 30/01/2007 21:01

I went to visit Magdalen Ct school for my dd 1 , it was a very strange experience, have a lot of the secondary schools in Exeter changed from being state to private?

OP posts:
franca70 · 30/01/2007 21:10

sorry coco, I don't know. Are you still looking for a secondary school for your dd?
