I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

all the best,

x

babysmum, thats so true re second and third pgs.... when i was about 36 weeks pg with dd dh kept bringing me home jobs section of paper... i was like " you do KNOW i'm having a baby dont you???!" as if he thought i was just getting mega fat from sitting around on my arse all day when i should have been out at work. men are soooo stupid sometimes. and when it comes to things like noticing stuff, i'm afraid i'm just not very perceptive! how pg are you then? whens it due? d'you know what youre having? ooh i get so excited when people are pg!

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 26/02/2007 17:52

LOL @franca!!!!

fennel · 27/02/2007 11:09

Agree with Boobs, by your 3rd pregnancy you get no sympathy at all. Or help. Everyone thinks you're just stupid. Or else that you've qualified as a supermum who needs no rest or help.

I didn't notice Baysmum was pregnant . Or any waddling. but i suppose if you meet someone for the first time you wont know what their normal shape is.

Coco4 · 27/02/2007 12:09

By the sound of it Baysmum u have a neat bump! as no one could see u were pg at the nite out.

I had a flowing smock type top on - sooo pleased they are in fashion! Im due at the end of July, got my 20 wk scan next week so halfway there basically. Actually, if anyone knows of any good ante-natal groups or classes in this area then any recommendations gratefully received!

franca70 · 27/02/2007 13:13

I have a good friends who runs an ante natal yoga class, if you are interested baysmum

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 27/02/2007 13:17

franca70 · 27/02/2007 13:21

sorry friend

franca70 · 27/02/2007 13:21

no she's not boobs

fennel · 27/02/2007 13:57

I remember the smock. I just thought it was trendy

Coco4 · 27/02/2007 15:29

cheers to the smock, for being able to wear it while pg , and thankgoodness after, they hide so much!

last time I was pregnant it was the season of very short tight tummy-showing t-shirts .

would have far preferred a smock.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 27/02/2007 15:58

see i dont go with the whole exposing the belly thing- too white and stretchmarked. but when pg i do so like to wear lots of very tight stretchy stuff to show it off. Loved my preg body hate it now. at least its nice and taut when pg.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 27/02/2007 16:00

plus whenever i have bought non maternity stuff to wear when pg i cant bring myself to wear it after. far far too depressing. plus thats one of the fabbest things- a proper excuse to go clothes shopping, should an excuse ever be needed!

franca70 · 27/02/2007 17:38

went into topshop today, lots of smocks and tunics that'd look fab on a pg woman. felt a bit broody . surely though it's not a good excuse, is it, for me to get pg in order to invest in some fashionable outfits???

Coco4 · 27/02/2007 21:27

You dont need to b pg to wear a smock, they look cool over jeans, and i was in primark with dd1 and they had big smocks and just slightly smocked, and so well priced, so if you decide you dont want to be smocked! you wont feel so bad if you dont end up wearing it.Go on Franca get one! x

I admit that a few months ago I bought a smock (or is it a tunic?) from topshop, very summery etc. the other day I was looking at the website and the tunic I bought was in the maternity range... so it's almost freudian on my part!

Coco4 · 27/02/2007 21:43

My friend kept seeing smock dresses everywhere and decided she would buy one. When she got home and tried it on, she said she looked like Bette Davis in Whatever happened to baby jane! she took it straight back lol

Hi, I am here as well!

I have been on Datrmoor quiet a bit, have camped and woken up to find a group of ponies huddling round the tent for warmth

Tavistock is lovely, I like the pannier market. Also it has good charity shops
