I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

st wilfrids, he only started there in jan - he's in yr 3, and is loving it! first time he's ever come out of school happy, he's got friends and has even been invited to a party! he is what you might call a bit 'eccentric' and as such stucck out like a sore thumb in our local school. its expensive but the best decision we've ever made. it is a fabulous school- only 10 in his class and thats 2 year groups!

happy to hear he's doing well and he's happy... so chances are that we see each other everyday, we live very close to st wilfrids!

poss then, i only pick him up, dh drops him off every morning on way to work. i'm always the one with 2 lo s in car setting off alarm while i dash backwards and forwards turning it off whilst keeping eye out for ds1 coming out of school!
i do usually see the same people walking past at that time- 3.30ish.
how old is/are your dc/dcs? are they at school/playschool in st davids? you may have said previously so sorry if you have.

glad to see you made it onto MN. I did look out for you from my kitchen window today but only saw the postman all day. Roll on the move to St Leonards...

I cycle up and down St David's hill on the way to work and back - will look out for tall women with toddlers and hats. Am intrigued by the idea of a hat with a hole with hair poking out of it. Even if that isn't Franca.

oooh I like it when the exeter thread gets all busy! Sorry Coco meant to also say I have no recollection of us meeting in a cafe in St leonards but that doesnt mean it didnt happen! It doesnt sound like my DS as he is usually too busy clinging to me to go and play with other kids toys but maybe!! What makes you think it was us???

Who would have thought that st davids hill could be so interesting?

a woman setting off alarms while waiting for ds
a woman cycling up and down
a tall woman wearing a hat, and you'll be see me wearing it until say May, because I'm always cold
a lovely woman with an open hat (I know her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

We're going to end up with a whole virtual map of mumsnetter to-ings and fro-ings around Exeter. So far hotspots include St David's hill, St Leonard's toddler groups, Cowick St and Dinky's.

Since I met Greensleeves in Real Life I see her accidentally her quite often, I knew that before we met from clues she'd dropped but I didn't spot her til I knew her (she wasn't much like her description!)
