Hi I am a new mum of a beautiful 11 week old baby boy and am looking to meet up with other mums in the area with young babies does anyone know of any groups in the Gosforth area ?

Hi all!

Again, huge apologies, have been off for ages! We had a fab time in Scotland, it was so good to get away!

Since we got back, Beth has taken her first steps unaided, don't think Ella will be too far behind either! They're growing so quick!

I've just handed in a application for a pt job, and looked at a nursery, so that the plans for the near future, if I get a job that is, hahahaha!!!

Anyway, hope you're all well (Podywody - was fab to see you and your gorgeous DS today, they all looked so cute playing together)! Speak to you soon!

Hiya!

Hows things?

I've been checking every day, its been so quiet since I got back on here.......do I smell???!!! Hahahaha!!!

Have had an amazing day with the girls, went to the nursery to get them registered, and while I was filling out what seemed like 100 forms, they went to play with the children they'll be with when they start.........they didnt look back, Beth was walking around all over the place, whilst Ella emptied a toy box and decided to put it on her head........there was no crying and they interacted so well with the other kids......I'm so proud of them, and glad that now I'm getting myself back to work and they're getting to see other kids! Best for everyone.......and I don't even pay for childcare, thanks to tax credits!

Sorry, I'm writing an essay here, hahahaha......have just drank 2 cans of red bull and cant stop typing!

Anyway, the only other thing thats been happening lately is that I've been scouring the north-east for a wedding venue for next year........we don't have a huge budget......but if anyone has any ideas of nice places they've had or been to weddings, the help would be much appreciated!

P.S. Forgot to add, I start my new job on Sat.....only part-time, but its what I'm used to! Cant wait!

Lillybunnybabe I'm so delighted that the girls liked the nursery and I hope you like your new job just as much, but I wouldn't try Ella 's trick with the bin on her head !!! Is anyone up for a meet up this week to catch up, I am free on Thursday all day, hopefull some of you are, as I will be away again from next wednesday for 2 weeks as Im going home.

Congratulations on the new job lilbunnybabe. Hope it goes well on Saturday and great news that the girls like the nursery. Podywody, I'm not sure if I can do Thursday. Supposed to be doing something else but not heard anything yet. If we don't manage to meet up, I hope you have a lovely time at home and that DS travels well and is all happy and smiley.

Have any of you had a look on the mumsnet local stuff? Someone has posted that Tyneside cinema are starting to do parent and baby screenings from October for babies under 1. Anyone up for it? There also seems to be space for people to say that they want to meet up but not sure how to direct them to this thread. Anyone technical out there?
DS just woken up and screaming like the world has ended. Better go!

Podywody-if I dont see you before, have a fab time back home and say hiya to all your family!

Smudgemum-hope you and DS are well! Did you know that the cinema at Metrocentre does the baby screenings too......I've not been, so can't say what its like.

The girls are off to nursery for an introductory session for 4hrs tommorrow, so I can have a bit of me time! Woohoo!!!

Tinder-me & OH are beginning to arrange our wedding, and after you mentioning that you do photography, I was wondering if you've ever done weddings or whether you'd consider it?

Wow Em .. I havn't actually done a wedding although I am planning to be a back up wedding photographer for some friends in November. They already have one arranged but I think with weddings it is nice to have a few different perspectives as it's something you hope to only ever do once! My style wouldn't be the formal kind of wedding photographer
Youa re welcome to email me if you want - [email protected] . I am very busy over the next 2 weeks as we have family coming to stay but after that I will have some free time if you want to chat more about it then..

Anyone around and fancy meeting up next week or week after? We've had family staying and various things on and I think I'll be really pleased to settle back to just me and Dom during the day. Saying that, I think he'll be really bored of me in about 5 mins! Hope you are all well and that LO are sleeping and eating well and full of smiles!

Hi All, Smudgemum I think I am in the same sitation as you, today was the first day of just me and ds in over 2 weeks, I am also looking forward to a quiet few days. Had ds 1st birthday on Sunday it was really nice, my baby is growing up !! He is changing so much and turning into a right little boy. I am def up for a meet up next week just let me know when suits.
And yes I have some more news... We are having another baby, due the 29th of Feb, so have decided not to return to work, so now I am officially a Housewife and MOTHER.

Ok great. Next Wed then. Was the play place in heaton easy to park? If yes, shall we meet there at say 11am? If not, how about Ikea for a change? I think there are 2 cafes there so the one on the left as you walk through the shop (the one you can get to from outside)
Like you say, it would be good if others can make it too (not that I don't want to see you )

Hi all!

Congrats again Podywody.........I think we're still in shock!!!! Its gonna be great though, I'm so excited! I keep wondering what colour you're cooking, hahahaha!!!

I have some news too, we've finally got around to arranging our wedding, and so on 27th Sept '08, I will become a MRS!!!! How exciting?!!!

My other news is that I've been promoted, after 2 wks in my new job, which is great, and they're still happy me just doing the 4 days I'm available, where the girls are at nursery etc. SO it's all going well at the moment............apart from the girls being really unwell.....sickly lots and really chesty, runny noses, they're just not themselves!

Anyway, must dash, but hope you & yours are all well!!! Take care!

I can make wednesday but not till mid afternoon as Brynn is in nursery till 12.30 and then sleeps for an hour or so. Would be lovely to meet up though.

the place in heaton is called Adventure land i only went to see it once but it looks ok.. I think this is near you tinder say 3pm does that suit everyone ? there is a link on this website under "local sites" for it.

Adventurelands in heaton is great Brynn loves it.
But Shawn has an interview for a job near the Metrocentre tomorrow at 2pm. So ironically I will be bumming round there from 2-4pm ish. Don't really want to cut all the way back accross town and then back to pick him up. sorry. Would still love to meet up sometime though.

Oh blimey - hectic times! Ok, lets go back to plan 1.5 and meet in Ikea cafe at about 3. Don't make the disasterous mistake of having a quick look round the shop first! Looking forward to it.

Hi Tinder, yes the cafe bit - the one on the left when you go through the shop. I've decided that I really need to get some photo frames but that's all I'm allowed to buy! See you there and hope OH job interview goes well.
