Right, since last night was so much fun, let's get to planning the next one. I've talked to Paddlechick and MrsRecycle and we thought that a big round table would be good, and also talked about Twickenham. So, does anyone know a restaurant (or foodie pub) in Twickers with big round tables?

Oh, and let's do a Friday or Saturday.

So, possible dates:
12(Fri) 13(Sat) 19(Fri) or 20(Sat) of Jan.

I can do any of these dates.

sfxmum · 15/01/2007 17:27

HI
sorry but can't come now.
Due to DH recent interviews we are going to Dorset looking to look at houses. Would prefer to be getting drunk in Twicks
Does anyone know anyone from there who can give us a steer on good villages?

foxabout2pop · 15/01/2007 18:10

Oxo that's a shame and a real shame your leaving us (but well done to DH)

My old Gp went to live in Dorset. He was very dishy indeed and every woman in Kew was secretly in love with him. However, despite my best efforts, I haven't been able to track him down

foxabout2pop · 15/01/2007 18:11

Oxo - what R U going to do about the new job - tell them you can't join them now, or join and then leave?

foxabout2pop · 15/01/2007 18:33

Have booked a table for 10, for 7pm, 20 Jan at:

Sagar Indian Restaurant
27 York Street
Twickenham
TW1 3JZ

pudding77 · 15/01/2007 19:05

Thanks foxie

Oxo - sorry you're leaving but on the plus side, dc's will probably love it!

MrsRecycle · 15/01/2007 19:13

Thanks Foxie - good news dh hasn't gone to France but bad news is I'm not sure if I can make it yet. Had a very traumatic birthday on Friday - ds was in Great Ormond St Hosp (transferred from Hillingdon) with suspected pyloric stanocis and we only got home yesterday. Also we were burgled whilst dh was with us at the hospital (police still haven't turned up .

Ds is 100 times better than he was before he went in and feeding so much more better with the medicine they've given him for his reflux disease. So I'm not sure I want to leave him just yet... but that could all change by the end of the week. Will keep you posted.

Mrs R: so sorry things are so crap at the minute: best wishes that they get better soon,

MrsRecycle · 15/01/2007 20:23

Thanks oxo - I have a saying that I live by "when life is at its darkest, the best is yet to come". Certainly can't get much darker than this.

ComeOVeneer · 15/01/2007 20:35

Sorry to hear things aren't great atm Mrsrecycle. I am finally moved and back on line. Haven't checked things online yet, but is the meet-up for the 20th still going ahead? If so where and when?

uwila · 15/01/2007 21:17

Oh shite, MrsR.... did i miss your birthday???

Glad DS is doing better. Sorry about the burglary. That's terrible. Gosh, you certainly deserve a night out. Hope you can make it on Saturday.

Comeoveneer, nice to see you back! The meet-up is at 7:00 at and indian place on york street in Twickers. I'm planning to get on the bus from Sunbury. You are welcome to join me. Or, you can get there direct on the train from Kingston. Not sure about buses from Thames Ditton??? They might exist, I just don't know.

MrsB,
So sorry about ds's illness and the burglary.

2Cute · 15/01/2007 23:43

MrsR - So sorry about the burglary, hope there's not much damage. Poor DS, glad he's better though. DS suffered from bad reflux as a baby, you might have tried it but infant gaviscon helped him (eventhough I hated giving it).

MrsBigD · 16/01/2007 08:56

MrsR hope you're in for a run of good luck now. How awful everything coming at once. Being burglared is so 'violating'. Happened to me quite a while back and they'd gone even through the underwear drawer... I washed EVERYTHING. Hope you're getting over the shock soon and your ds will recover quickly from his illness.

foxabout2pop · 16/01/2007 08:56

Comeon: here you go:

7pm, Saturday 20 Jan at:

Sagar Indian Restaurant
27 York Street
Twickenham
TW1 3JZ

MrsR - how awful, you poor thing! Poor LO! often bad things come in ugly little clusters I find, so hopefully things will get better quickly for you and your family now.

Paddlechick666 · 16/01/2007 09:09

mrsr, sorry to hear about ds that must've been awful. it's horrible being burgled too, i really feel for you.

i like your philosophy tho, been running round my mind all night and i'm going to try and adopt.

hope things are better for you soon.

MrsRecycle · 16/01/2007 09:47

Thanks everyone for your wishes. Uwila - don't worry - I want to forget this birthday as well! They did go through my underwear and I want to wash it but the police only turned up last night and I'm waiting for CSI to come and take finger prints so I can't touch anything.

2cute - gaviscon didn't work. ds stomach was working too slow and so his milk never got to his bowels and his digestive system was shutting down. dh and I remarked yesterday that, for the first time, ds smells of sick - something we hadn't realised before that he never smelt of it despite projectile vomitting it everywhere (sorry if you're having your breakfast).

Puddle - my philosophy really gets me by. Hope it works for you. My brother has one which is good "Shit happens"!

sfxmum · 16/01/2007 09:50

sorry you had such a dreadful time mrsR glad to hear you keeping positive, quite an admirable quality

MrsRecycle · 16/01/2007 09:51

Thanks sfx - I'm just glad ds is okay and doesn't need an operation.

sfxmum · 16/01/2007 09:56

and have the police turned up yet? some friends were burgled last year and they found dealing with the police to be quite an ordeal

about ds it is good to at last know what you are dealing with

Paddlechick666 · 16/01/2007 10:08

mrsr, oh yes! shit most certainly does happen!

in a weird way i'm glad your ds smells of sick!!

i was burgled many years ago and had a huge amount stolen - exbf was a musician - the police recommended we go to the services on the M4 and try and buy the instruments back!

MrsRecycle · 16/01/2007 10:11

pc! I've already looked on ebay for this unique piece of silver we had. The insurance co have been excellent and said that we need to concentrate on getting our family well and once we have time to sit down and work out what was missing.
