Right, since last night was so much fun, let's get to planning the next one. I've talked to Paddlechick and MrsRecycle and we thought that a big round table would be good, and also talked about Twickenham. So, does anyone know a restaurant (or foodie pub) in Twickers with big round tables?

Oh, and let's do a Friday or Saturday.

So, possible dates:
12(Fri) 13(Sat) 19(Fri) or 20(Sat) of Jan.

I can do any of these dates.

Bugger, DH just sent an e-mail saying a guy who works for him is having his leaving do on the 19th. So, I'll be in Brum.

But, I see pud must be psychic as she has already removed me from the list.

There's supposed to be a cheapie but nice Indian in Twickenham - anyone know it?

MrsBigD · 02/01/2007 18:05

So shall we aim for 20th?

harktheheraldfoxessing · 02/01/2007 19:20

Yeah, that seems the best date for everyone so far doesn't it?

Anyone fancy the cheap Indian in Twickers then?

uwila · 02/01/2007 20:00

Can we find a cheap Indian that is not Pallavi? Sorry, but DH and I went there a couple of weeks ago, and well... we were less than impressed.

How about The Green Spice on Twickers Green? Never been, but the website looks okay.

Sorry Uwila!

uwila · 02/01/2007 20:25

It's ok. I can take a hint.

There's a good one my friend goes to so I'll ask her the name.

xoxo · 03/01/2007 09:42

The Sheesh Mahal (almost opposite Waitrose) is really good. I don't know if it the cheapie you mean, I think it is average prices.
We always get our takeaways from there and it's just been done up so looks good.
There's a pub opposite where we could meet, with high ceilings etc so should be less smokey???

harktheheraldfoxessing · 03/01/2007 10:05

Oxo - I'll be seeing my friend on Sunday so will ask her if that's the one she means.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 03/01/2007 17:17

Where is everyone else - don't you want to come out to play???

uwila · 03/01/2007 17:32

Bunch of lamos.

I booked the India restaurant on the green just in case we run out of time before we make a decision. But, I'm happy to cacel if people prefer the restauran which Oxo suggested.

In fact, Oxo's restaurant might be better for transport links as it is just off the high street.

So who is in:

Saturday 20 Jan, 7:00:
Uwila
Foxie
MrsBigD (who is leaving us sniff sniff )

Add names as appropriate...

don't worry you're not rid off me just yet, I shall haunt the west london threads just in case I need a night's sanity check

quokka · 03/01/2007 17:47

sorry been a bit of a stressful time for us, but things are getting better! Whats the transport like to twickers?

xoxo · 03/01/2007 18:05

quokka: sorry things have not been too great. Have you made a decision on S'pore?
YOu need a good night out, girl!!

Twicks is fairly good to get to. I don't think there is a direct bus from Ealing though (that's where you are isn't it?) Bus to Richmond and out again or train. Where do you live?

Quokka, if you can get to Brentford then the 267 goes to Twickers

xoxo · 03/01/2007 18:13

bus spotter

quokka · 03/01/2007 18:58

sounds like bit of a hassel to be honest. I could always drive, but thats not much of a night out!

Sp still might happen, dh is going next week on an unrelated work thing. So he can check out the accomodation and see his mate who might employ him - fingers crossed.

pudding77 · 03/01/2007 19:19

You got me oxo!!

Quokka, what buses or stations are close to you?

pudding77 · 03/01/2007 19:37

Just wondering if there's any other way for you to get there?

quokka · 03/01/2007 19:42

I'm near to acton town tube (picadilly and district). Dh will make me get a taxi home though and that might be pricey

Paddlechick666 · 03/01/2007 19:50

quokka you could district line to richmond then overland to twickers so going wouldn't be too awful.

actually doesn't the 267 go near gunnersbury?

but the taxi home thing remains the same.

tbh i don't think i can make this one either - combo of childcare and cash.

have you got a move date yet mrsb?

pudding77 · 03/01/2007 19:52

I'm not sure that the 267 does go near Gunnersbury - it goes down towards Kew Bridge & over Chiswick roundabout to Chiswick.

Quokka, I would also have to get a taxi home so we could share one if that helps at all?

quokka · 03/01/2007 19:56

What am I thinking! Ds2 bday is the 21st so I will have to give this a miss. Also dh is away but will be coming home for his birthday, but I suppose I should see him as well , he has to fly out again the following day!.

I suppose I should start organising a party!
