Okay I have spoken to a chap at Waxy's. This pub is going to be refurbished between now and next June.

We could use the sofa gallery for 60 people and depending on numbers combine with the Broad Street Bar for up to 120. The sofa gallery is the furthest area from the dance floor and therefore the quietest area of the pub. The pub will be quite lively at the weekend.

It is just off the ring road and very close to a Travel Lodge (according to Whimsy)

I thought we could book a room Feb/March time and organise a deposit. We will have a better idea how many are interested and if it's a likely goer.

DH has just got himself a weekend at Le Mans, watching the racing, I am trying to see if the outlaws will have DS's, but they are having them the 2 weekends after, so I doubt they will have them this too.

My mom is away that weekend as well, and I dont have any other sitters.

If I can swing it I'll put my name back on, but for now count me out.

I can't come now sorry, didn't think it was still going ahead so made other arrangements.

Have just spoken to the Manager at Waxy's and ordered the £9.95 buffet menu for 25 people.

All thouse that are coming can you please pay me for the food on the night as it will be so much easier than all paying individually.

Also the £50 deposit is the room hire so can you please add an extra £2 to the buffet price as I have paid this from my own pocket. .

Have had an email, asking what time we want te food served.

WinnieThePooh, I am so sorry but when I didn't hear anything from you I thought this would be a non starter, sorry.

Dh has booked us on a last minute holiday and we leave on the 14th for 7 days

WTP - I can't eat dairy, so that menu is going to be a real problem for me. Do they offer an allergy friendly option?

WTP - even if this goes ahead, there's no way we'll need a buffet for 25. I have a suspicion that most people have forgotten about it tbh. Perhaps we should ask everyone to confirm again?

I'm going to have to cry off i'm afraid. I'm pregnant and too constantly knackered and sick to even contemplate a train journey nevermind the thought of meeting you all and having to stay booze free!

Whimsy isn't going, and to be fair, she did try and find out several times and by posting on several threads to see if this was still going ahead, but got no reply so assumed it wasn't.

I, myself am pregnant and have been fairly busy with other things. I will contact James at Waxy's to alter the figures and ask about allery friendly memnus.

Can I please ask that everyone confirms that they are still coming by the weekend and also what time you would like the food to be served.

I will contact them again on Sunday evening to confirm everything and will only order the buffet for those that have definitely confirmed.
