Okay I have spoken to a chap at Waxy's. This pub is going to be refurbished between now and next June.

We could use the sofa gallery for 60 people and depending on numbers combine with the Broad Street Bar for up to 120. The sofa gallery is the furthest area from the dance floor and therefore the quietest area of the pub. The pub will be quite lively at the weekend.

It is just off the ring road and very close to a Travel Lodge (according to Whimsy)

I thought we could book a room Feb/March time and organise a deposit. We will have a better idea how many are interested and if it's a likely goer.

Sorry, I had totally forgotten about this, and for some reason hadn't seen this popping up until I was pointed in the right direction. I will have to be a NO I'm afraid as dh may be away on business and only get back (jetlagged) saturday evening, so I have no childcare. If nearer the time things change I will see if space is avaliable for me to tag along, if that isn't too cheeky
