Synopsis please on what I've missed last week! Too pre-occupied for various reasons to wade through all threads. Thanks

Fiz, are you at work or home today?

guyfoxie · 03/11/2006 14:21

Fizz - are you OK? You sound a bit down

FizBangWhooooosh · 03/11/2006 14:46

am working from home today but not getting much done tbh.

took dd to dr who was suitably vague altho to be fair not he could do i suppose. could be a virus, could be something she ate etc.

i'm exhuasted and starting to think i'm going to get sick too.

my mum is being brilliant, was up half the night with me and dd but she's also driving me up the wall! and i am being so mean and now i am feeling guilty!

major feeling sorry for myself and i hate that too!

someone kick me up the butt!

sfxmum · 03/11/2006 15:21

no kicking but a big hug, i think you are allowed to act like that with your mother is part of what she is there for anyway, be kind to yourself you do have a lot going on. hugs

parkinpud · 03/11/2006 15:49

hugs to fizzbang - I'm free on Tuesday if you want to meet up

Uwila · 03/11/2006 15:58

I was going to offer to come round and bring you alcohol. But I think I'll stay away from the potential virus...

Do you want me to come round for a chat next week? Mon? Tues? I'll stop off and bring food so you don't have to cook, if you want.

mellowfire · 03/11/2006 17:12

fizz, sorry to hear that ur dd's unwell and you're not feeling great. big hugs coming your way.

(((((fizz)))))

guyfoxie · 03/11/2006 17:19

Big hugs from us too Fizzi - DS was asking after you today

Take it easy and make the most of your Mum being there to help. Hope DD gets better very soon, poor wee lass!

spooxooky · 03/11/2006 17:59

Fizi: sorry you are having such a crap time.

Fancy mtg in Kew for coffee & cakes & kick up ass/ hugs on Monday am???

spooxooky · 03/11/2006 18:30

Guys: can you have a look at the Christmas dinner thread, please.
Thanks

MrsBonfire · 03/11/2006 18:55

Fizzy hope dd and you feel better soon.

I had a day at home today as well as dd woke up coughing a little and telling me she wasn't feeling well - usually a cunning ploy so she doesn't have to go to school. So out came the thermometer because here's hoping she hasn't learned yet how to fake a temp . And lone behold she had close to 100.

I was dreading the day but she's actually been a verry good girl, playing quietly in the living room with all her barbie stuff out and not being her usual stormy self when at home with mama. guess she must be really under the weather. She'd going to be so miffed tomorrow though because as she's ill she can't go swimming...

FizBangWhooooosh · 03/11/2006 21:27

aww thanks ladies, i can't believe how nice and kind you've all been.

dd is all tucked up, in fact i fell asleep with her!

now enjoying a bit of chocolate before heading for bed myself i think.

can't do Monday coz I'm at work and got an NCT thing in Hatfield Tuesday but thank you so much.

tell DS hi from me Foxie, did you win the Torchwood battle yet?

hope your dd is on the mend too MrsB, glad she was good for you today.

i wish you all a long, quiet, peaceful night!

spooxooky · 03/11/2006 21:50

Thanks - glad you're with us agian.
and it's been about 4 yrs since I've had a peacfeul night.

Damn fireworks - both kids are in our bed EVERY night these days. Can't fart for fear of knocking one of them out.
Luckily I DON'T fart

And yet, somehow, one ends up crying on the floor at 3am. Must be DH

guyfoxie · 04/11/2006 07:20

Spoooxy - DH ends up on the floor crying at 3am? Oh, the poor chap!

Fizzi - guess what we watched last night? Yes, Torchwood. There was one nasty bit, when we had to turn over for a few minutes, but generally it was OK. TBH I'm a lot more worried about the violence than the sex. I don't want DS keeping me awake half the night when he wakes up crying after having a nightmare!!!

It was quite good actually - have you been watching it? DS was only allowed to stay up late 'cos it was Friday. I can't let him stay up until 10pm on Sunday night, so am looking forward to that battle tomorrow night!!

How is DD today?

Quokka - Dan sorted out my damp patch yesterday - just hope it lasts!

Hi everyone else

FizBangWhooooosh · 04/11/2006 08:52

your poor DH Spooxy!

well, GuyFoxie, I gotta say you're braver than me! Or maybe a 9 year would be asking more questions than I'd like LOL.

all academic anyway as unlikely to ever see skids again at this rate

it's on during the week as well you know, at 9pm altho that's prob still too late for ds.

"have you got a VIDEO?" (asked a la The Young Ones)

sfxmum · 04/11/2006 12:54

hello all we had projectile vomiting yesterday evening and night, quite tired this morning but dd feeeling better.

hope you all ok

MrsBonfire · 04/11/2006 20:12

poor sfx! sounds dreadful hope you recover soon. If it's any consolation... there seems to be a nasty tummy bug going round not just here in UK but also in NZ! so you're not alone!!!

FizBangWhooooosh · 04/11/2006 20:12

oh no! poor you SFX, it's horrible isn't when they're so poorly.

not to mention exhausting for Mummy!

dd is deff on the mend but her nappies are pretty awful and she's really not interested in eating too much.

she's asleep now but wonder how long it will be before the fireworks wake her up.

we seem to be in the epi-centre of displays!

MrsBonfire · 04/11/2006 20:55

blasted fireworks central here too, and fire engines galore blasting past on top of that. only just got ds down (clutching his Thomas book) as he kept popping his head up going 'uuuuh' each time something went off...

MrsBonfire · 04/11/2006 21:43
