Uwila, what did you do with your day today?

Hi Quokka

Paddlechick666 · 02/10/2006 20:42

it is true that all men are particularly shite in general terms.

they're quite good at putting the rubbish out tho.

and driving up to Fat Boys for my dinner coz I'm too exhausted to cook lol.

MInd you, he's hankering after playing in a "live" poker game Thursday night so I am a little suspicious of his motives.

Mmmmm lamb roast, my all time fave roast after Xmas dinner. both of which my mother cooks brilliantly.

hey MrsBigD, are you after those hit-men you offered me? hope things are okay soon tho xx

i'll post here as well as on the daytime thread - we found a Nanny! yay!

PC666

fatfox · 02/10/2006 20:50

Paddle - congrats on the nanny front. What a relief eh? Is she the one who lives near you?

ps. agree about putting the rubbish out...I just hate that job

Paddlechick666 · 02/10/2006 20:57

yep, she's 2 roads up from us. came over for 2nd interview and enjoyed a glass of wine whilst making dd giggle.

after a truly horrendous day with dd it was nice to see her smile coz believe me, Mummy wasn't doing it for her today!

so what was that you were gonna put in your fizzy water last night?

hey does anyone MSN?
;-)

fatfox · 02/10/2006 21:10

Paddle - wot's MSN - is it soft drugs or something?

Laculose - for PG women with bunged up bums. Makes ya poo. Well, that's the idea anyway....its very wind generating

MrsBigD · 02/10/2006 21:31

am ok'ish, after dumping on dh and nowhe's digesting... will email you tomorrow Uwila, I'm emotionally shattered. Good night everybody

Am thinking of you

Paddlechick666 · 02/10/2006 21:39

hmmm, that is possible TMI FF but i will file away should I decide to go for a Mini Cooper Mk2!

erm MSN, it's an online chat \link{http://get.live.com/messenger/overview}

it's quite good for "dynamic" chat.

MrsBigD, am worried about you. Sending big virtual hugs your way.

Paddlechick666 · 02/10/2006 21:46

let's try that again shall we:

get MSN here

suejoneziscalmernow · 02/10/2006 23:24

no not that good a friend - first time they'd gone away together for a weekend so guess she's just very presumptuous. Funnily enough she forgot to take the lamb with her, put it in the fridge and... out of sight out of mind not that I had anything to do with putting it in the fridge but it did occur to me that she might forget if she couldn't see it

My mum later told me that her favorite trick is inviting people over for lunch then getting them to do her gardening while they're there!!! Wish I had that kind of nerve - no friends but lovely tidy garden.

fatfox · 03/10/2006 16:18

Sue - she sounds a bit of a parasite to me! Sorry to be so blunt, but does she "give" as much as she takes, IFKWIM?

LOL at the image of you sneaking the lamb quietly into the fridge

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/10/2006 16:52

it's very odd - she's very nice and sociable but seems to have no conception of what is acceptable in polite society

They play bridge together once a week so not a terribly close friend, she has a terrible habit of inviting people to things in front of others and not asking everyone if they want to come - eg discussing going to a concert with one of the bridge people whilst the other two sit there expectantly thinking she will ask if anyone else wants to come.... no holding of breath for that anymore!

I was more than a bit at becoming so machiavellian over a bit of cold lamb. I had it for my tea yesterday with a bit of Ma's cauliflower cheese and it was delish.

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/10/2006 17:02

I'm so bored in work today. Bored bored bored...

Oh God I'm turning into MrsBigD!

Nanou1 · 03/10/2006 17:04

huummm i love cauliflower cheese. have not had some in ages!!!! welcome to the club of bored people!

fatfox · 03/10/2006 17:17

Sue - you're no doubt Demo happy, as you'd rather be in Kazachstan.

Can imagine your glee at eating your lamb! A small but satisfying victory.

I hope MrsBigD is OK...

I've been bleeding again and spent all morning in A&E. The on-call gynea was about 12 and told me I don't have cervical erosion (had comforted myself with the idea that the bleed was due to the erosion). WTF is the bleed then?

She told me to go home and not worry

?!?!?

Am feeling worried, anxious and depressed.

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I am a wet blanket today

fatfox · 03/10/2006 17:17

Demob - not Demo

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/10/2006 17:22

yes but am demob unhappy as no news yet we can be wet blankets together. Sadly have no experience of pregnancy so can't tell you that Ms 12 yr old is quite right and to put your feet up and have a mug of hot chocolate. Isn't it common for some people to bleed on and off throughout their pregnancy? Isn;t that why some people don't realise that they're pregnant as they bleed regularly and think its a period? [clueless emoticon]

Nanou1 · 03/10/2006 17:26

of fatfox.... put your feet upgirl!!!!!! got to go... late already. now do that hot chocolate and get a good movie and watch it in bed. xxxxxxx and sue... why don't you do the same for a bit of tlc... you sound so patient and resigned to the waiting.. don't know how you do it. x

fatfox · 03/10/2006 18:03

Have just microwaved three ready meals for dinner . Also shouted at DH that he's fecking useless and why doesn't he feck off if he's not going to be more supportive.

It is common to bleed apparently. However, afraid that doesn't help, as I'm scared it will escalate. Feel like having a good cry and throwing DH's dinner on the floor.

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/10/2006 18:08

Do you want to come over to my house and cry over me tonight? I will be home by 8pm and not going out...

Not sure if throwing his microwaved ready-meal on the floor is such a punishment - can you not think of a more imaginitive punishment?

quokka · 03/10/2006 19:11

Oh FF poor you, thats why I didn't marry an aussie!

Hopefully you will be feeling better by now. If not a good footrub always made me feel better and it depends on the state of your feet, but it could be punishment for dh?

fatfox · 03/10/2006 19:20

LOL Quokka!

Sue - that's really nice of you but I need to lie prostrate in front of Eastenders I think.

DH has survived - ...so far (menacing look)

2Cute · 03/10/2006 19:29

FF - at how useless hospitals are in these situations...how can you not bl**dy worry? All I know is that it's REALLY important to rest if you bleed during pregnancy. Sending positive vibes your way (here catch!)

Hope BigD's ok.

SJ - I really admire how patient you're being seeing as you are sooo close to motherhood.

Uwila · 03/10/2006 20:40

Oh no FF. [worried emoticon]

Did they give you a scan? How can they say "oh don't worry" when they don't know the cause. The NHS is so cold, I hate them.

Is there a lot of blood? Is it fresh (ie. bright red and not brown)

fatfox · 03/10/2006 21:32

Uwila - so crap you mean

It is red sometimes, brown sometimes. Am going to see GP tomorrow to see if he can refer me to a "proper" doctor. i.e. one over 12 years old.

DS has his assembly tomorrow and wants me to be there so I can hear his lines: "I love carrots!" Feel I should rest but don't want to let my baby down.

We have a bid to write by Thursday pm a work, or two of my staff will lose their jobs in April. Bid writer keeps calling and the only person I can delegate to is on leave.

Think this would be a good point in time to have a nervous breakdown
