Friday 22nd Sept - Who fancies meeting up this Friday? How's about sticking to the good old Lollipop Club (unless any1 has any other suggestions) seeing as it's forecasted to rain?

Friday 29th Sept - Child's Play Cafe (Chiswick) -what time suits everyone to fit around nap times etc? Childs Play Cafe

1st week of Oct - um....ah...???

We're bringing friends and family with-to Kew-this year but would love to meet up with you all if you're going!

rabbitrabbit · 19/10/2006 13:13

and I like the sound of your friend backtoxoxoxo

pumpkinpud · 19/10/2006 13:13

I would love to - sounds great! I can't wait to see what ds will make of Santa!

rabbitrabbit · 19/10/2006 13:15

And finally-I took my niece (12) to the ice rink last year. I turned into a gibbering wreck the moment I touched the ice. She turned into an extra from swan lake and glided around. People, I'm sure, were actually taking pictures of me looking foolish-so I'll just watch this year.

unhallowed · 19/10/2006 13:37

8 hours--quokka . Wow! I had it easy. You're right about the water. I gave her water, thinking she has stopped, and it came straight back out.

Sorry, you won't be coming tonite. Would have been nice to meet you properly tonite. Maybe, we could meet up next week when you're better. I"m free all week except Tue pm.

Oxo--an NHS Direct nurse told me to continue bfing. She said it was the quickest way for dd to recover. Thanks for the tip though.

Dd's back to her old self now.

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 19/10/2006 13:56

oooh Kew looks lovely for Xmas. I love Xmas, especially Xmas dinner! dd was only 8 weeks last year so didn't really know what was going on. can't wait for this year.

welcome rabbit, hijack away with ideas like that one!

Quokka, my hippy chick, so sorry to hear you're still crook. was looking forward to catching up on slings and cotton nappies and your veggies! hope you're on the mend soon.

Oxo, gott talk to you about those seats tonight too.

ooh yes, vomiting, dd has had 2 sessions of this recently and I stopped all food for 24 hours and just bf on demand. when i introduced food it was rice cakes and dry toast. hth and hope things are on the mend there too.

right, tele conf so will have to do some work now!

unhallowed · 19/10/2006 15:33

Fizz--is your dd in cloth nappies? How does your nanny feel about that?

We were thinking about getting a nanny when I go back to work but wasn't sure if nannies are fussed about the extra work with cloth nappies. You'll have to tell me more tonite.

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 19/10/2006 15:45

i think it depends on the nanny to be honest.

i don't expect our nanny to wash the nappies so.......

also, i've been rubbish since moving recently and dd has been in disposables

am intending to re-establish the cloth routine this weekend!

2Cute · 19/10/2006 15:59

rabbitrabbit - that look fab, I'd definately go.

I'm into everything to do with Christmas...love it, best time of the year.

rabbit that Kew event looks great - count me in with DS and DD!!!

rabbitrabbit · 19/10/2006 16:17

Oh dear. I'm getting all excited and christmassy already!!

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 20/10/2006 07:44

unexpected morning off due to sick nanny.

Lollipop anyone? I expect it'll be packed due to rubbish weather but will need to get out of house.

Hope everyone well after night out ;-)

quokka · 20/10/2006 08:19

Hope you guys had a good night, I welcome any gossip this way

Boowila I can ask next doors nanny as she wants some extra work babysitting? Where are you again? Otherwise my friend uses this service where you can call up at very short notice for babysitters. They all have had checks on them and are usually nanny's, midwifes etc. I remember her telling me it was £7hr?

quokka · 20/10/2006 08:21

sorry wrong thread!

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 20/10/2006 15:13

well, Lollipop was crazy this morning. Apparently you can have a "table" party there without their closing completely.

tbh, I'd be querying if they cap the number of kids allowed in under those circumstances!

was great to see you breifly Pud, chatted to some of your NCT buddies in car park.

great to have a proper chat with you too unhallowed. your dd is absolutely gorgeous.

open to suggestions for a get together next tuesday

unhallowed · 20/10/2006 15:46

puds--'m going to your friend nicky's for a pedi next thu. can't wait.

pumpkinpud · 20/10/2006 18:37

Hope you enjoy it unhallowed - Nicky's lovely so you should come out feeling all nice & relaxed!

Fizzy - I'm not sure that you chatting to my friends is allowed, I think there is a rule somewhere stating groups of friends cannot be mixed

Altogether I've ended up having a bit of a crap day - Lollipop packed, ended up at a cafe where ds cannot sit still but there's nowhere for him to go and to top it off, the whole buying/selling house process is a pain in the backside .

Oh well, at least I'm going on holiday on Sunday so fingers crossed that will be good!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 20/10/2006 18:44

Pumpkin, where are you going on hol?

Also, where are you moving to?

Nosyfox

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 20/10/2006 19:17

lol Pud, talk to my sister and she will testify i am a well known friend stealer!!!!

yes indeed, where are you going on holiday and where are you moving too?

pumpkinpud · 20/10/2006 19:46

We're off to Malaga - a friend's 40th birthday and her dh has rented a villa for a couple of weeks so we're joining them for a few days. Should be nice as it's large and it's pretty much got everything there.

As for moving, we're still in Brentford, just around the corner from where we ar now - if it all happens anyway!

pumpkinpud · 20/10/2006 20:17

By the way if anyone can help with this question, that would be great:
checking in online

pumpkinpud · 29/10/2006 17:21

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 29/10/2006 22:17

pumpkinpud · 30/10/2006 06:41
