OK Bizarre request time now:

Has anyone got a fold out camp bed they could lend us for a few days?

No, I haven't kicked DH out of the bed - I'm trying to get DD into a new bed and had about 4 hours sleep last night as she kept waking up scared. Was thinking that if I set up camp next to her for a few days, it might make her less scared.

If anyone's got one, we can drop it back to you in a week or so....

mincepiepud · 29/12/2006 10:04

Hiya, won't be able to make it today I'm afraid. Have a good time!

Foxie, don't have a camp bed but do have an air mattress if that's any good?

harktheheraldfoxessing · 29/12/2006 10:33

Sorry we won't see you today. We're around next week as well if you fancy meeting up.

We have an air bed actually, but I think I need something higher so I can lie level with DD fot a few days.

PortAndLemonaid · 29/12/2006 11:01

I'm afraid we won't be making it after all -- DS has a lump the size of an egg on his forehead after an unscheduled encounter with the coffee table and while A&E have given him a provisional all clear he appears to have a stonking headache (unsurprisingly) so I think a quiet day at home will be a good idea.

hoxohoxohoxo · 29/12/2006 15:43

thanks for fab time foxy.
must dash - unexpected visitors but had fab time

ComeOyeFaithfulVeneer · 29/12/2006 15:48

Hi all hope you had a good christmas (haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread to see what has been going on). We had a lovely (if tiring) 5 days down at my parents' with all the family. We got back yesterday and are now in the throws of final preparations for d-day. Really looking forward to meeting all of you at some point in the very near(ish) future. Will wish you all "A happy New year" now as I'm not sure when I will have time to get on here over the next few days and will be internetless [shaock] for a few days after the move.

mincepiepud · 29/12/2006 18:02

would love to meet up next week, foxie. We'll be back late Monday so probably Weds onwards if you're around. And anyone else as well!

Good luck with the move comeon - can't wait to finally meet you!

Paddlechick666 · 29/12/2006 18:05

hi all

great time at your place Foxie, hope you're not too knackered!

dd had a fine old time and it was good to see everyone. great to meet you Oremstango, your ds is a cutie.

hope you all have a peaceful evening and a LONG sleep - that's what i'd like tonight anyways.

;-)

MrsBigD · 29/12/2006 18:10

Thanks for hosting Foxie
got home alright with ds falling asleep in the car and dd still being wide awake... nothing like a sugar rush

harktheheraldfoxessing · 30/12/2006 10:49

We really enjoyed yesterday and I keep finding packs of delicious snacks everywhere that people bought over. Thanks MrsD and Nanou for helping me tidy - Nanou you are a star for doing the washing up ! I know have in my possession several large plastic bowls and containers which I need to return to people. Puds I think I have your yellow baby spoon from the book swap, Paddle, I have your flap jacks container (sadly minus flapjacks) and I have a large sald bowl from yesterday (is that yours Mrs D?). Thanks for the DVD loan Mrs D - you have thoughtfully left us one for each day of the holidays .

After most of you left, my Dad turned up at about 4.30pm with nephew, then my sister, BIL, then niece plus friend. It was all manic but fun

Nest week Weds onwards would be great Puds and anyone else who is up for a meet

oremstango · 30/12/2006 15:44

Thanks so much again for hosting Foxy- great to meet you and the group. Sadly, the little guy got all his sleep at the get together and decided to have a bit of a late night yesterday.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 30/12/2006 16:21

oremstango - your little lad was soooooo cute!!!

MrsBigD · 01/01/2007 13:21

JANUARY 2007 DAYTIME THREAD

Not sure what I'm doing this week. Hoping ds's nursery is open tomorrow . Wednesday I have both lo's and Thursday it's just me me me!

Nanou1 · 02/01/2007 14:13

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!! foxie; great day on 29th Dec and thanks for hosting. sorry about my monster... but she had such a ball! she adored your dd and they are certainly "partners in crime" esp when it comes to eating chocolate... that afternoon made me realise how dd loves having people around so i am going to make a point of inviting little friends for a few hours on sat afternoons. dd loved to take the train too and walked all the way home - i was very impressed. thanks for lift mrsbigd. and foxie; a lot of credit should go to oxo who was just so good at drying up . anyway, cant say i am busy at work but can't stay either . mrs and paddle came around on sat and that was fun. then i lost my mobile and was without it for 2 days.... and found it in the big bag of clothes i thought paddle might be interested in after going through absolutely everything in the flat of course. btw thank you so much mrsbigd for the clothes - cant remember saying thank you...
first day for ddwithnonappy at creche today and would you believe that dh forgot the spare knickers and trousers... they are going to love us!!!

MrsBigD · 02/01/2007 18:00

No worries Nanou, by springtime I probably have another lot of pinks for you

Wouldn't worry about nursery I'm sure they have spare clothes just in case.

We're finally withholding night nappies from dd... 1 dry night, 1 wet night, I'm so glad for pampers bedcovers LOL
