SAHM's, Part-time workers and of course slackers here we go:

Friday 22nd Sept - Who fancies meeting up this Friday? How's about sticking to the good old Lollipop Club (unless any1 has any other suggestions) seeing as it's forecasted to rain?

Friday 29th Sept - Child's Play Cafe (Chiswick) -what time suits everyone to fit around nap times etc? Childs Play Cafe

1st week of Oct - um....ah...???

Puds, still up for coffee tommorow? Posting here now 'cos I've finally sussed out how these threads work!

My brain's gone to pot since I had a baby so I'm feeling quite proud of myself.

pumpkinpud · 16/10/2006 14:21

Hi unmellow, yes I'm still up for meeting tomorrow. I'll warn you though that ds is on the move so may not be too happy at either being forced to stay in his pushchair or sat on my knee!

I had baby-brain as well - I don't think you ever recover from it! My only worry is what happens when you have more

unmellow · 16/10/2006 15:38

Great! Shame you have a cold! If you're not feeling up to it tomorrow morning, let me know thru MN.

Is your ds walking? That's quite early! I'm looking forward to dd walking as she's moaning all the time when she laid on her tum or sat down on the couch.

She's only happy if she's in her walker. I feel bad about putting her in it all the time but, otherwise, I'm lunging around the flat with her in my arms the whole time.

pumpkinpud · 16/10/2006 16:08

Don't worry, I'll be fine - I find with colds I'm much better just getting on with stuff! Ds isn't walking yet - he's crawling and standing up but just lately have found he's no longer content to be just sat somewhere, he has to be moving! Though I'm hoping he'll fall asleep on our way there!

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 17:07

think i've got tomorrow arvo free if anyone's up for a stroll or lollipop club or 1 o'clock club at redlees?

lemonAIIEEE · 16/10/2006 17:15

No unmellow, trust me, you are not looking forward to your DD walking . DS walked at 9.5 months, ran ad 9.5 months and 5 minutes, climbed onto things and jumped off at 9.5 months and 10 minutes...

He did get a lot happier, though, admittedly. But I want a late walker next time...

pumpkinpud · 16/10/2006 18:54

I have to admit, I do think things will be easier when ds is walking, though when he is I'll probably wish him back to the days when I put him somewhere he stayed there

And I'm really sorry to do this but awwww, I just got my first wave from him

sfxmum · 16/10/2006 19:36

i think i can do lollipop tomorrow if ok to join

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 21:01

dh tapped on the window when he got home and dd was so excited to see him she was waving and laughing and bouncing all at the same time! sooo cute.

i'm sure i nearly got a Mummmummuuma the other day too.

sfx, am up for lollipop tomorrow arvo perhaps about 2:30ish? CAT me your number if you're keen.

am meeting a netmums mum for coffee at 10:30am, will attempt to convert her to MN tho lol!

sfxmum · 16/10/2006 21:16

yes think will no it would be my first time there so nice to go with someone 2.30 good will cat

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 16/10/2006 22:29

cool sfx, got your CAT.

see you tomorrow

sfxmum · 17/10/2006 09:22

hi Fiziwhizi was looking at lollipop website and it seems it closes at 3 so maybe 2.30 is a bit late, any thoughts? earlier, elsewhere, another day?

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 17/10/2006 10:02

darn it! didn't realise the 5pm finish was alternate days.

what about 1 o'clock club @ Redlees Park in Isleworth?

I haven't been before but my mum's taken dd and i think it's okay.

word of warning, dd is full of cold and cough but is okay in herself. not sure if she's infectious tho...............

let me know.

sfxmum · 17/10/2006 10:18

Reedles is 2 buses and quite a bit of walking for me I'm afraid perhaps another day. i will try to keep near Richmond/Kew today.
dd has not been sleeping much and naps have been unpredictable so i am
keeping things simple.
hope your dd recovers well, these colds tend to drag

backtoxoxoxo · 17/10/2006 11:56

suggestion for you guys wanting to meet up: Hugos in Richmond, should be easy for both you to get to as Richmond is v well served by public transport.
It's behind Paradise Rd car park (park on level 6 I think for car park rear access direct ro Hugos).
Anyway, it's a thought.
Lollypop closes at 3 when it's booked for a party: sometimes it's every afternoon. A real bummer.

Enjoy!

unmellow · 17/10/2006 12:01

lemonAIIEEE - you're probably right. It's just that dd whines all day long unless she's in her walker. I think she's got more energy than abilities. I'll probably start taking her to activities that will tire her out.

Puds - it was really nice meeting you. I'm definitely up for lollipops. Just let me know when.

I've just remembered mother and baby yoga is for babes up till 6 mths/crawling so maybe it's not quite right for your ds and you.

However, I'll try to join you Fri for yoga if I could get dh to come home early and look after dd.

sfxmum · 17/10/2006 12:19

thanks for tip on Hugo's i am yet to try it.
dd has not been sleeping great and all her ''routines' are out. she had just over 2weeks of teething, sprouting 5teeth, then about a week of night terrors, as for naps, usually nothing before 1pm or so.
i have been doing things locally for convinience really and because i am quite tired too

FiziWhiziLetsGetScary · 17/10/2006 12:36

think i'll stick to redlees today if that's okay.

speak soon.

sfxmum · 17/10/2006 12:39

yes of course another day have fun think we will just pop to kew and chase some geese, always a favourite

pumpkinpud · 18/10/2006 11:53

Hi unmellow - first chance I've had to post anything since yesterday! It was really nice to meet you too and your lo! If you don't mind I'd love to take you up on your offer of a lift for tomorrow - shall I come round to yours for about 6.50pm? Or is that too early? Can you text me your address again!!

I think we're definitely out for mum and baby yoga - he couldn't sit still in music group today either!

I'm afraid I don't think I'll be able to get out to lollipop until after I'm back from holiday but I'm sure other people will be going along at some point!

quokka · 18/10/2006 12:16

Pud is ds now enjoying music class? I'm so sorry I haven't been for yonks, this weeks excuse is I've just come down with a sore throat and head . Lo's asleep now so might join them

unhallowed · 18/10/2006 12:46

Puds - I've texted you. Do you know if there are still road works on Kew Road? If there is, I'm probably going to head off around 6.45 pm, as it'll take a wee while to get over the bridge.

See you tomorrow.

pumpkinpud · 18/10/2006 12:56

There were still roadworks today. I'll check your text anyway!

Quokka - he still seems a bit uncertain about it, especially at the end with all the instruments. I had to leave before that bit today as he was really tired and I knew he would just cry! Sorry you're not feeling well, hope you can still come tomorrow

scarysuejonez · 18/10/2006 13:12

Oxo - what/where is Hugo's? I park in Paradise road CP quite a lot - the one up near the Police station and Red lion st - yes? Never noticed a Hugo's near it??

backtoxoxoxo · 18/10/2006 18:23

SJ: paradise Road is at the top of the one way system (up the road from Argos) - but note that you can't get to it from that direction and have to come off Sheen Road to get to it. Confusing, eh!

Hugo's is super: it even has a Costa coffee. Bit more expensive than Lollypop but is open afternoons.

Downstairs is for under 2's, upstairs for older than that kids.
