Aero, are you going to the European School of Osteopathy? I've been there with all of mine from time to time. Brilliant. It's also just round the corner from me. You could pop in depending on day and time.

Freckle · 30/05/2004 08:25

Oh poo, I just noticed you're going on Tues am. Tuesday is the only day next week that I'm working

Aero · 30/05/2004 23:15

Freckle - you could be a big help to me here! Am a total scatterbrain at the moment and have mislaid the directions. Do you have the address or can you direct. I'd be most grateful esp as tomorrow's a BH and I won't be able to call them. My appt is 9.30am Tues. I know it's somewhere up the hill as you pass the cinema etc but that's about all I can remember.
As for meet-up, am free on Thurs pm and Fri all day??..........Have three in my tribe (ds1-6, dd-3, & ds2 4.5mths).

Aero · 31/05/2004 10:46

Freckle?

Freckle · 31/05/2004 12:13

Sorry, Aero, didn't see yesterday's message.

If you're coming from Chatham, then head towards the town centre. When you come to the big roundabout which goes across 2 bridges, take the directions for Tonbridge. You will go up a hill and then the road forks - one fork for London and the other for Tonbridge. Stay in the left hand lane and head for Tonbridge. The Osteopathy school is on the right hand side just before a church. There is another church on the left-hand side and if you go past this, you've gone too far.

Unfortunately, I have friends coming on Thursday and I'm going to be out on Friday. Could manage Wednesday.

Aero · 31/05/2004 18:40

Thanks Freckle - that's a huge help as I still can't find that piece of paper! Sorry though, as we already have plans for Weds, but happy to try some other time. Do you work full-time usually?
Harman - good to meet you. We really enjoyed the day. No-one slept on the way home but they're pretty tired now. Hope to do it again sometime.

Freckle · 31/05/2004 18:46

Not full-time no. I have a part-time job which I do as and when it suits me (subject to actually getting the work done!), plus I am training to be an advisor with the CAB. My training takes up 2 days at the moment. I may do more once I'm fully trained. As this week is half-term, I wouldn't normally be working at all. However, I don't want to slow down my fellow trainee, so I agreed to do one day this week, having persuaded dh to take a day off to look after the children.

Aero · 31/05/2004 19:35

Failing the daytime thing, I'm also happy to meet in the evenings provided dh gets in from work at a reasonable hour. He's pretty happy to do the babysitting thing and let me escape for an evening. Am still bf ds2 though so can't stay out too late.
Looking forward to this appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they can help somewhat with the colicky pains and the fact that he doesn't sleep for very long! Will keep you posted. Thanks again for the directions.

LucyJones · 31/05/2004 20:50

Hi Saro - sorry I just meant my name isn't Lucy!!! rsv1000r - yes this coming Wednesday if you want to meet up. Tessiebear - I think we're just going for a coffee or we could go to the park if it's nice weather. I'll have ds (8 weeks) with me and Saro is bringing her dd I think! Sounds like we might be quite a gang!

sarochka · 01/06/2004 09:41

Tessie - we are going for coffee I think. My dd will hopefully sit through that. If you wanted to meet up another time, perhaps we could go to Kids safari or something like that? Let me know. I do work full time but am around at week ends usually!
Was anyone up for an evening meet too - anywhere?

Aero · 01/06/2004 16:35

Freckle

Managed to find the clinic easily - thanks. The session went v well and ds2 is sleeping peacefully and has been for almost two hours!!! Also fed without wriggling!!! What they do, I don't know, but something seems to have worked. Or perhaps I brought the wrong child home???!!!
This sceptic might just turn into a total convert, though will give it some more time to make sure this isn't a one off coincidence. Should be on another thread really..........

Freckle · 01/06/2004 16:57

I am a complete advocate for c.o. and the clinic. So glad your appointment went well. I took DS2 when he was about 6-7 months old. He'd started screaming for 6-8 hours a night. Was fine when held upright, but screamed the minute you laid him down. As you can imagine, dh and I were totally wiped out (fortunately DS1 slept through). C.o. sorted him out within a couple of sessions and the gp could have done nothing for him.

Well, you won't need directions to find me now, will you? The road between the clinic and the church I mentioned is the road in which I live. I almost walked past you today on my way to work. Such a shame that we couldn't meet up afterwards. Still an evening meetup is always a good bet. Do we have any potential dates yet?

Aero · 01/06/2004 17:17

Someone mentioned 7 & 14th June earlier. I can do 7th or most evenings usually though not 14th. Noticed your road on way.

happycat · 01/06/2004 17:53

hi I would love to meet up again meanbean I enjoyed the last night out and would love to meet with you again and harman I still want to put a name to your face mate

Lisa2912 · 01/06/2004 18:19

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days - been away staying with my sister while she had her second baby.... but now I'm back I'd love to meet up with people. As a reminder, I'm based in Maidstone but can travel anywhere (within reason!) but it sounds like there are plenty of people happy to meet near here. I think I suggested the evenings of 14 or 21 June as I can't do 7 June, and Monday seemed to work for most people. Do either of those suit people? Promise I will check messages more regularly now!

Freckle · 01/06/2004 18:21

Mondays are generally fine for me with sufficient notice to ensure that dh gets home in time.

Aero · 01/06/2004 18:31

Yup - echo Freckle re notice for dh. Could do Mon 14th after all.

Lisa2912 · 01/06/2004 19:26

Shall we aim for Monday 14 June ? Shall check with DH tonight but should be ok. Would people like food or just a drink (just in case this thread consists of mad internet stalkers....!)

LucyJones · 02/06/2004 09:28

Hi Saro - are we still on for this afternoon? 2pm outside Monsoon? Looking forward to meeting you and your little dd!!!!

Aero · 02/06/2004 14:34

Dh says 14th is fine by him (and has let me know when his night out is so we're square!). I'm happy to do either. A meal with friends is always nice, but equally happy just to go for a drink. Can anyone from Maidstone suggest anywhere nice?

Lisa2912 · 02/06/2004 19:49

Am not that familiar with Maidstone (only moved here six weeks before dd was born, so haven't done much going out!) but parking can be a pain in town. Am happy to follow other suggestions (Freckle, Harman?) but otherwise perhaps somewhere like the White Rabbit (large pub/restaurant on the edge of town with parking spaces) might work?

Sounds fine to me Lisa, though I don't know it but dh says he does and you apparantly can't miss it.

Freckle · 03/06/2004 22:15

Never been in the White Rabbit, although it's true that it's difficult to miss.

Another one which I thought of is the Malta Inn. It's just off the exit from the M20 and right on the river. If it's a nice evening we could sit outside. Just a thought.

Aero · 04/06/2004 11:03

Sounds nice to be by the river Freckle. I'm happy either way as I don't know either place! Which exit off the M20 is it?
