Not yet harman, just waiting for everyone to confirm. Really hope you can come - you deserve a night out!

Aero · 08/06/2004 18:22

bump

Thursday is good for me - but have no idea where in the Malta Inn as haven't been there before... are we all going to have to carry the Times or wear carnations in our (non-existent!) button holes?! I can guarantee to be wearing machine washable clothes, but it may cause mayhem to look at everybody's label.... Anybody been there before? I can get there from 8 pm if that works, but if you can all make earlier go ahead and I shall join you as soon as I can.

Aero · 08/06/2004 22:08

8pm works for me. Don't know the pace myself, but it's close to the museum of Kent Life if that's any help. Does someone who's been there want to suggest somewhere to meet?

Aero · 09/06/2004 13:06

bump - who's coming tomorrow?

Aero · 09/06/2004 15:28

anyone?

I'm coming, I'm coming. I'm not particularly bothered about eating as I'm on a diet anyway . Quite happy to have a salad if everyone else wants to eat though.

I thought, if it is nice weather, we could meet at one of the tables near the children's play area. Tbh, I can't remember what it's like inside as I normally send dh in for the drinks whilst I wait outside with children/dog.

Lisa2912 · 09/06/2004 19:26

OK, I shall be at a table by the children's play area from 8 pm onwards ... to make things easier I shall be looking around nervously and pretending I meet people off the internet regularly

sarochka · 09/06/2004 19:43

for some reason - got all dates wrong and didn't realise that the 10 was tomorrow. Really stupide -considering I write the date on the board every day!!
Can't make this one even though wanted to, next one ?? ?

Aero · 09/06/2004 20:44

Hooray - thought I'd look like Billy-no-mates there for a while. See you all tomorrow from 8pm. I'll probably not have had a chance to eat so will eat there. (Dh is having his night out tonight, so will definately be home for me tomorrow). Glad you can make it Harman.. Any word from Happycat or meanbean or 006??

Aero · 09/06/2004 20:47

ps Children's play area is a good idea Freckle. See you there. Hope I don't miss the turning!! I'll be the one driving at 15mph once I get close! Apologies to anyone who gets stuck behind me!

MeanBean · 10/06/2004 08:40

Hi all - realised that the 10th is today and am not going to be able to make it (aunt and uncle are descending on me). Hope it goes well and I can get to the next one.

I don't think I can make it I am really feeling unwell today I am due on and I am feeling really shitty all over.I am really sorry to back out at the last minute but, as you can see I did go to the last one so I really am not a chicken and I am looking forward to the next meet up.Sorry again I hope you all have a gr8 time

Aero · 10/06/2004 17:51

I'll be there Harman - looks like there'll be four of us. Been out and about all day today so have just 'tuned in'! See you later. Will probably wear 3/4 length jeans and pink ribbed top. Am not in any way glamorous so should be instantly recognizable! Think I have a friendly face - dead giveaway!

Lisa2912 · 10/06/2004 19:00

I am about 5'8'' with shoulder length dark brown hair and bizarre assortment of clothes today (laundry crisis....) dark jeans and pink and white top and looking hopefully at everybody who comes in! Looking forward to meeting you all

Freckle · 10/06/2004 19:17

Are we still meeing outside by the play area? I'm short and fat - according to one child at school today (speaking to DS1) I'm "bloody fat". But there you go. Diet and exercise in hand.

I think I'm wearing beige trousers with lilaccy tops (vest and over jacket). Depends on whether I can be *rsed to get changed .

Aero · 10/06/2004 19:31

Play area it is! Leaving now - dh just got in!

Freckle · 11/06/2004 07:04

Obviously no one got to the computer last night to post about the meetup! It was lovely to meet Harman, Aero and Lisa2912. We all managed to find each other without any embarrassing cases of mistaken identity. Hope I didn't say anything too weird, but it was so loud in the pub I might well have mistaken what others were saying . Perhaps next time we'll find somewhere a little quieter - oh and with older customers. I felt like the mother of most of the people in the bar!

LucyJones · 11/06/2004 07:44

Glad you all had a good time. Sorry about the noise levels - should have warned you about Thursday being the 'new Friday'!!!!

Had a great time last night, and hopefully we can do it again (with some of the other local Mumsnetters) some time soon. Sorry others couldn't make it ....
