Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Funny, none of those things describe my work.

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 15:23

my wonderful son has just told me he is tired. I LOVE him. Off for nap......ZZZZZZZZZZZ

fatfox · 04/09/2006 15:24

Sunbury Cross!!!

Why, that's just down the road

I wonder if DH2000 will refund me if I switch....can feel a phone call to DH2000 coming on, complete with some elaborate story as to why I can't get there....

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 15:25

just tell them you had a better offer LOL

fatfox · 04/09/2006 15:25

I'd better go and do some work too. I just popped in to enjoy some adult conversation

C U later

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 16:11

well...........that did not quite work as planned. little sods are wide awake, I'm the only one who wants a nap!

Will run them ragged in the park and pray for an early night.

Will pop into chemist and get industrial vat of medised.

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 16:20

poor xoxoxo!!!! little sods indeed . how about trying to call your local vet for advice; bet you he's got a thing or two up his sleeve... esp if you are lucky and he is a dad himself - that was just in case the chemist had ran out... pls dont' call social services

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 16:23

thanks for the moral support. will keep vet in mind. SS may get suspicious though - no pets (well, apart from fish but they sleep when the light goes off, bless them).

xoxoxo

on lighter side - am happy to play on the 15th.

Paddlechick666 · 04/09/2006 16:47

gawd you lot jabber! i can't keep up!

thanks for the number Xo, will give her a buzz later.

i could go a nap too but DD slept pretty much all the way to richmond and back AND another hour outside the front door when we got back!

would love to do Kew on Weds but I'll be enjoying my first day back at work boo hoo.

I wonder if I break down sobbing and start keening for my child they'll send me home on compassionate leave?

not sure about 15th yet. DH may use it as a bargaining tool for a stag do I DEFINATELY DON'T want him to go to!

lol

Just got back from Gunnersbury park and I thought I was in France. It was crammed with french people, hundreds of them, whats going on nanou is it a public holiday or something?

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 16:56

hhummm?! i have no idea! adults or kids?

Uwila · 04/09/2006 16:56

How can he go to a Stag do when he is babysitting?

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 16:57

that's the catch!!!! the stag is coming to him!!!

Uwila · 04/09/2006 16:57

It's probably the French army. Were they waving white flags?

fatfox · 04/09/2006 16:57

Quokka - did any of them have cellulite?

I bet they didn't

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 17:02

hurrah everyone is back now. kids are wide awake. I may be a little high on 3 mugs of coffee.
can't be assed cooking - may try to persuade dh to pick up takeaway on way home but am afraid it's my weight watchers weigh in tmrw. I can't put on weight again - they'll chuck me out.

did the french all smell of garlic (j'excuse Nanou) - they need something to make up for no cellulite.

sfxmum · 04/09/2006 17:07

had to go to work and the server is down there and has been for the last week or so,and apparently other hardware problems too according to tech, so not only do i have lots to do i can't even check in on MN surely a breach of human rights. what the point of an office i ask you

who is talking pools not that i mind munch having imense girth and woobly bits ( or should it be person) on show oh well, after childbirth not much bothers me

fatfox · 04/09/2006 17:19

hey - I have a serious question here:

Do you only get sickenly skinny cellulite free women at swimming pools? I'm too scared to go as I'm too embarassed to show my chubby little thighs. This is a serious question please treat it sensitively..

sfxmum · 04/09/2006 17:25

as i seldom use my glasses in the pool i pretty much just manage to keep dd safe and i look good too

quokka · 04/09/2006 17:35

course not, theres usually an assortment of shapes there. Really fatfox I thought you were a confident 43yr old?

fatfox · 04/09/2006 17:49

yes, but not with the body of a 20 year old

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 17:55

fatfox - (in manner of treating sensitively) -

oy, fatso - I'll go and make you look skinny - how's that for support?

my thighs are officially the same size as Victoria Beckham waist - that is one thigh is. I joined gym last week and they carried out all sorts of intrusive measurments. so, stick with me and you'll look fantastic. I may even be able to frizz up my hair and polish some of my spots for you.

Paddlechick666 · 04/09/2006 18:10

a bit random but dd has just fallen asleep in her highchair - sooooo cute! does this make me bad mother?

dh has "sort of" been offered a job but at 5k less per annum coz he's a "bit of a wild card". isn't accountant and wild card an oxymoron?

stag better flippin NOT come here, they're paintballing!

PC666

ps: today the electrician came to fix the broken oven and managed to pull the hob off the wall thus creating a gas leak.
and then we had a row about who was going to pay the emergency gas call out!
I won!

xoxoxo · 04/09/2006 18:18

pc: anyone who can get the little ones to sleep cannot be bad.
and nabbing the only wild card accountant - my hat is off to you.

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 18:27

phew finally got power back on. Had powercut just after I got home from work. Defo felt mn deprived LOL

Fatfox...trust me I have hardly ever seen a skinny cellulite free person at the pool I go to... well I don't count under 5's hehehehe... probably the reason I go there. How does dh put it so eloquently... whale watching comes to mind. He's allowed to say that he's a whale himself
