Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

MrsBigD · 02/09/2006 09:56

suejoneziscalmernow · 02/09/2006 09:57

Oops - did I forget I work from Mon - Thurs?

fatfox · 02/09/2006 10:05

Sue - glad it all went well yeserday - another hurdle successfully negotiated by the sound of it

suejoneziscalmernow · 02/09/2006 10:07

and found out yesterday that my CRB checks are on their way back - I love it when a plan comes together. Fingers crossed about the SW's report but she was only here for 30 mins - how bad can I be in 30 minutes?

MrsBigD · 02/09/2006 10:20

Sj great news on the CRBs and how bad can 30 mins be? Not bad at all I reckon, means she didn't go ranting on about how 'this and this needs to be in place/fixed/setup etc'

Oh yes I forgot... you do work for a living

Does anyone have Ulwila's mobile number???

I supposed to be meeting her at 11am, and she says she's CATTED me but the CAT never arrived, so I've no way of contacting her.

If you have, could you text/phone it to me on 07779-289-041?

MrsBigD · 02/09/2006 16:11

only saw this now! Hope you managed to hook up alright

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 02/09/2006 17:45

Yes they did - I did too but only for about 30 mins.

suejoneziscalmernow · 02/09/2006 18:17

Update on meeting with social worker here now that I have report back and its positive.

Uwila · 02/09/2006 20:02

Okay, so when is the Sept. meet-up? Could we possibly to somewhere in Teddington so I can take the train home? Does the 65 bus go there for the Ealingites? I'm afraid I don't have anywhere to suggest in Teddington. Does anyone else know a place?

MrsBigD, are you better now?

bunyanvillas · 02/09/2006 20:32

There is an Italian restaurant in Teddington called Scarletti (I think) which is quite nice and reasonably priced. And The Anglers is a nice pub. When is the meet-up as I'd really like to make this one - have been lurking on here for far too long without ever having met anybody!! Wish I was in a nice restaurant right now, am having toast for tea tonight as it was rather a "full-on" day with dd

suejoneziscalmernow · 02/09/2006 22:08

I like Red Peppers in Teddington but I won;t be there so no vote for me... They do the best ribs.

MrsBigD · 02/09/2006 22:33

Should be able to get to Teddington somehow.

Stomach is better, but been to dentist on Friday and he gave me antibiotics so whatever is causing my teeth trouble settles down before my root canal... only problem being... I seem to be reacting to the medication and have an itchy rash all over - stopping meds now. Not having a good run eh?! Must be the age

Off now to look on the net whether the ab's he gave me have rash as side effect. Didn't get an instruction leaflet as they came in a plain brown bottle Ah well another med to add to my list of 'don't you dare ever prescribing that again!'

Besdies that... I'm fine ;)

hi Uwila and FatFox

great to meet you this afternoon. thanks for staying a few extra minutes to chat!

after the candy floss neither kids wanted their tea lol.

worse, the eldest complained of feeling "a bit sick" all evening. then announced he felt better.

10 minutes later he was spewing full force into dd's toy box. luckily DH had managed to empty it immediately that the cry "i'm gonna be sick" came.

lovely!

house now stinks of dettol and I'm really hoping it was a one off rather than a bug.

ah well...........

MrsBigD · 02/09/2006 22:51

PC666 hope he's feeling better and it was just too much sticky sweet yuk stuff.

DS did similar without the warning. Sitting in his car seat on way to toys'r'us, starts coughing a little, but not that tell tale kind of cough that tell's you they're going to spew... but suddenly 'thar he blows'. Had no change of clothing on us so he was running around Tesco (had hoped they sell close but that particular branch didn't argh) and ToysRUs wearing dd's Jeans jacket, his nappies and trainers. What a sight. Didn't slow him up one bit though and after the hurling session was right as day.

Checked re Teddington... erhem... not all that easy for me it's either 2 busse and a train or 3 busses with minimum travelling time of at least 1h30m

OP posts:
Uwila · 03/09/2006 09:34

MrsBigD, just look for at Ealing to Teddington and you get there on Bus 65, change in Richmond for R68 to Teddington. Total travel tim 44 minutes. Or, we could try Kingston again? That seems to be accessible to all on a singel bus/train.

MrsBigD · 03/09/2006 10:24

Uwila thanks for that. Had a look at that route and knowing that route I'm pretty sure they 45 ish minutes they guestimate is a very optimistic calculation seing traffic and all ;). I'll check it out again and wil see

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/09/2006 10:30

how about twickenham - thats pretty accessible - not that I know anywhere to eat there and I'm not going anyway, but just can't resist interfering.

quokka · 03/09/2006 11:00

oohh I went out for a surprise dinner last night and my head hurts! Dh sorted out our cleaner to look after the boys and it was great because I came home to a clean house as well! What about extra points for that on the babysitters club?

Not sure if I'm around for the next meetup, its MIL 60th birthday and think we'll be cambridge , so I wont get involved in the loaction .

suejoneziscalmernow · 03/09/2006 11:02

Struggle to clean my own house, I would expect more than bloody points in order to clean someone elses - trip to the bahamas at the very least.

quokka · 03/09/2006 11:26

hhhhhmmmmmmmm bahamas yes please! I'm sure my head would feel better there

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2006 11:28

well we had three more episodes thru the night, poor lad.

luckily dh did all the cleaning up altho he was still expecting to take ss2 for 18 holes of golf this morning!

change of plan after i pointed out that ss1 probably wanted his daddy whilst projectile vomiting not his step-mum!

so we've had a creative morning with clay and plaster of paris and luckily no more vom!

now trying to figure out what he can eat for lunch...........

sounds like you had your handsful with your DS MrsBigD! i have got a cute pic in my mind of him running round toys r us tho.

right, they've all gone to the park so i can have a shower, clear up a bit and think about the next meal!

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2006 11:54

i'm watching the meet organising but not contributing as i'm new the area.

i think twickenham is pretty easy for me, richmond is definately easy for me, not sure about teddington tho.......

regards cleaning, we're on the hunt for a cleaner at the mo. anyone got any recommendations?

currently looking at www.amycleaners.co.uk altho not sure if their prices are reasonable or not........

TIA

PC666

Paddlechick666 · 03/09/2006 12:09
