Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

PC666 - I'm glad you've found somewhere you're happy with. Have you decided to go for it? Ev1 keeps telling me to start looking for DS's nursery place now (he'd start next September). Any one's LO's at local nurseries they could recommend?

Pudding - DS's was more keen on football but DH is constantly trying to steer him in the hockey direction. He bought a baby hockey stick from Germany which DS now loves. He smacks anything that gets in the way of the ball, including my poor battered legs!

FF - Do you get a chance to rest at all? Make sure you pamper yourself b4 new babe arrives. I wish I had b4 my DS but we were moving so I was packing boxes with feet the size of the Michellin man!

2cute - my dh bought his nephew one of those and it mysteriously disappeared after he whacked his mum on the head with it!

i think puds could well be the way to go on 19th.

well, i saw another lovely nursery this arvo and am now confused lol. it's more expensive but heaps more structured and the staff seemed a bit older and wiser iyswim.

they also have web-cams in each room so i could watch dd ALL day whilst pretending to do work.

however, i don't actually think they have a vacancy right now. also, it's in a basement and was pretty dark and dingy.

the one this morning is on the way to where DH is working at the mo. and this contract looks like it's developing into something more permanent so that's a big plus. and they have places immediately so.........

i think i might go on the other's waiting list but enrol her in the one near dh's work in the meantime. but then there's another nursery i'd like her to go to next july so it wouldn't be fair to keep chopping and changing would it.......

waffle waffle waffle, i can't decide!!!

2cute - nah, don't do "resting", what's that anyway?

PC - go with your instincts on the nursery front, don't assume high price = best nursery. The best one we used was a huge subsidised state run nursery - £400 a month cheaper than the organic, expensive one, but DS was so much happier there. Have a think about it for a day or two - you'll know which one she'll be happiest in. (or you'll be happiest with )

suejoneziscalmernow · 25/09/2006 18:02

did you manage to get home without collecting a whole carrier bag full of conkers yesterday FF?

fatfox · 25/09/2006 18:12

Sue, one of the Alpha Mums at the school made a kind of "Autumn Man" doll with conkers tied together with string - so of course I have to try and make one too now

Am going over to see my surrogate Mum this eveing, so I can hug her goodbye before she flies off to Majorca

I'M BACK

holiday was great despite the average age of the group being around 70! good ego boost as well because the tour guide took a shine to me, then again... I was probably the best preserved female on board . Coming home was great until... but that's probably another thread if I get inclined to rant and rave on mn later

now to try and catch up with this thread! and then start an october one

Hey MrsBig!

Welcome back!

Everyone's pretty much de-camped over to the Ad-Hoc Daytime Meet thread.

Rant away, I'd love to hear it.

Was the tour guide cute?
