Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

LOL if I pull a sicky then it's dd in school, ds in nursery and me loafing about at home without any activity

Hey; Surfing mnet = activity, drinking coffee/wine = activity, lounging about in the garden = activity..... (atleast that's what I tell myself)

Better go off now to do one of the above "activities" while DS is having his nap

quokka · 18/09/2006 12:55

2cute I'm having trouble deciding on what "activity" to do also

Sounds like you guys had a good time Fri night, will defo make the next one.

Nanou where are you?

Uwila · 18/09/2006 13:42

I'm playing hooky first week in October. So if all you SAHM wants to get together with the kiddies I'm up for it. I'm flying to Chicago on 06 June, but I can do morning activities with DD(3) and DS (16 months) or just DS in the early afternoon. DD is in nursery in the afternoon from.... oh when is it now???? 1:00-3:30 I think???? Bad mum alert. Must find out what time school is.

Uwila · 18/09/2006 13:43

June??? Is it June? No, Uwila!!! OCTOBER. I can't bloody type today. And now I'm talking to myself. Need holiday.... need holiday NOW.

Uwila · 18/09/2006 13:49

Oh jeez. I am the worst parent. I just opened my outlook calendar and was suddeny reminded I have a parent evening at school tonight. So not only must learn when my child is suppoed to be there. But, jeez, I can't even remember when I am supposed to be there. Called nanny in a panic and thankfully she has no plans tonight and can babysit.

What a dope I am!!

fatfox · 18/09/2006 13:52

Uwila - you need one of those bods who organises your life for you: books the hairdresser, does bills, buys presents when its birthdays etc etc. I used to know someone that did that for a lining

fatfox · 18/09/2006 13:52

..a living

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 14:02

I think it's called a social secretary LOL

OP posts:
Uwila · 18/09/2006 14:07

Jeez, what do people with say 5 kids do? How do they keep on top of things. I can barely keep up with 2... and one of them doesn't go to school or have any activities...

Oh, speaking of which, does nayone know of any good activities for a 16-20 month old in or around twickenham in the afternoon. The nanny will take DD to school at 1:00 (I think!!) then have about an hour or so to kill every day M-F. So, I was thinking of finding a music class she could take DS to on one of those days. Or she suggested joining Richmond pool. I know nothing about Richmond pool. Can anyone enlighten me?

suejoneziscalmernow · 18/09/2006 14:41

its a big square thing with lots of water in it, and its in Richmond.

Uwila · 18/09/2006 14:54

square or rectangle?

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 14:54

is it this one?

Thanks, SJ -- Wendy and I have left messages for each other but seem to be caught up in a gigantic game of telephone tag at the moment...

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 15:23

you have to thank me lemonaid , I jogged SJ's memory

lemonaid · 18/09/2006 15:26

Oops, and a big thanks to MrsBigD as well ... I was away shooting a wedding at the weekend so did a somewhat perfunctory job of skimming this thread when I got back.

suejoneziscalmernow · 18/09/2006 15:40

no it's this one

suejoneziscalmernow · 18/09/2006 15:42

I hope you manage to hook up - as I said she does have another person quoting but I assured her you could do sexy and atmospheric but tasteful.... (free photos of junior as commission is perfectly acceptable)

I'm playing bridge with her tomorrow night if you want to suggest a time she can call you I'll let her know.

lemonaid · 18/09/2006 15:51

Evenings after 8 are generally best.

Is the number she left (ends with 077) her home or work number? If it's a home number and it would be convenient I can call her again tonight.

suejoneziscalmernow · 18/09/2006 15:52

thats her home number so you can try calling her tonight.

fatfox · 18/09/2006 18:21

Sue - don't forget I want your cleaner

How are all the loode ends tying up for your trip - any news of the visa yet?

fatfox · 18/09/2006 18:22

I mean Loose Ends

lemonaid · 18/09/2006 20:40

Sue -- spoke to Wendy who seems v nice. She asked how I knew you so I told her (honestly) that I was lending you some baby stuff for Junior, thereby keeping up your public face of not being someone who talks to potential psychopaths on the Internet . Your secret is safe with me...

Paddlechick666 · 18/09/2006 22:05

am i right in thinking people are meeting up tomorrow morning?

i'm busy in the afternoon but my plan to go to a breastfeeding drop in clinic first thing have been foiled - apparently dd is too old!!

poor bub's not 12 months yet lol!

today she wowed me by using her push-along and "walked" the length of the living room!

cam-corder always at the ready but i still missed it.
