Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

sssssuuuusssshhhh. I have v sore head. And I stink of garlic (?)

darling hubby has taken kids to park so ''hungover mummy can clean the house and make dinner''. oooohhhh.

Thanks for the lift Foxy. We debauched few all got home safe and sound. I made uwila phone me when she got home and was last in the taxi of the twickenham3.
Now I remember why I don't drink white wine. It's just too easy. Oh dear.
Hey mrsbd: vaguely recall story of cyber tiger. Grrrrr!

Uwila · 16/09/2006 15:45

Hello everyone. I had a lovely time last night. Must do it again soon! And I thought the food was very yummy. My head was no fan of the wine this morning. But I managed to get up and go shopping by 9:30 or so. And I'm all better now. I think DH and I will stay in and watch a movie tonight... and go to bed early.

So when is the next one? Should we aim for Ealing/Richmond next time so Foxy doesn't need to play chauffer? I can't make the first two weeks in October, but could do say Thurs or Fri after the 25th of Oct.

Uwila · 16/09/2006 15:55

PS

DH just suggested I go to mumsnet anonymous.

MrsBigD · 16/09/2006 18:37

xoxoxo told dh about that and he just went 'oh boy', and then I fell asleep on him whilst still talking

Away 6 and 9 October otherwise pretty free that month as far as I recall, but head still hurting and also dh just about to migrate our old work station to the new one so can't check.

Will edit and send photos of last night once migration is done - all VERY tame, well besides the one I have on my mobile now that was sent to 'shock' somebodies dh... I'm not giving names and no we 'didn't make you do it'! You were a very willing participant

I'm up for next one but will prob miss out as we go on holiday on 27th til the 7th.
It also needs someone to do a thread thingy (which I can't do)

MrsBigD · 16/09/2006 18:38

Oh go on, you know you can do it LOL

OP posts:
xoxoxo · 16/09/2006 18:41

well... maybe
I knew last night would be bad when the tone was gutter level before we got moving. Spit or swallow indeed!! Shame.

Will also correct rumour that I work for Mossad, nor can I arrange hitmen and normally I am serene and sober . Well, OK, that last bit was made up

pudding77 · 16/09/2006 18:54

I would love to join you on the next night out - though it all sounds very seedy for my delicate ears!! However, I'm away 22-27 Oct so will probably miss it

fatfox · 16/09/2006 22:42

Hi, just popping in before I say nighty night. Visit to clinic went well and we did get made dinner, but I couldn't eat it as I'd had a fillet 0'fish in MacD (shame)

We're away half term 23-30 October - but would lurve to do meet up anytime apart from that.

How about L'Escale on Kew Road? They're used to me bringing gangs of drunken women in there

But TBH i'm "not bovvered" about driving between now and March, as I can't drink anyway - so I'd say make the most of my ability to give lifts while it lasts!!

When I have a wee baby and am BF again I'll be saying "pleeeze can we do Richmond, so I can pop in to see you all between feeds"...

BigKat - I'm sure I know you and your sister from when I was at college you know - did you go to RUT college - or Kingston?

Nighty night then....

MrsBigD · 17/09/2006 08:54

I can arrange hitman for rather 'reasonable' fee LOL I think PC was toying with the idea wasn't she?
Oh boy the level of conversation that evening was rather 'interesting' wasn't it
Going to be kicked of PC now as dh is finally going to move us over to new platform so if ya don't hear from me till Monday (when back in the office) then it all went horribly wrong... sometimes it's hell being married to IT person!

Uwila · 17/09/2006 18:50

So, how about L'Escale 19 October, say 7:00?

xoxoxo · 17/09/2006 19:01

I'm in.

YanksUponThames · 17/09/2006 19:58

Hey y'all. Great time Friday night! Just as well I didn't join the Twickenham crew. My wine sloshed around enough as it was. Great food, though. Thanks to foxycabs!

THANKS also much for the texts about Paddlechick's mobile # etc. As it turned out, ds's eggy breakfast had us miss the boats by 15 min or so, alas, but had a perfectly good day out anyway. Mucked about Richmond Locks, dandelion-whiffing in the nearby meadow, Old Deer Park playground. Ds got thoroughly baked then took good nap.

L'Escale sounds great to me. I've been wanting to go there (and hell, I can walk there) but hadn't got round to it yet.

fatfox · 17/09/2006 20:14

I'm in for L'Escale on 19th at 1900 hours

Uwila · 17/09/2006 20:25

Fatfox, have you got a link to L'Escale?

Paddlechick666 · 17/09/2006 20:36

lol, i did a google search for l'escale kew road and found Foxie's first post about it!

but then i found this

anyways, had a great time Friday night and thanks so much for the taxi service.

we made it down to the river by about 10:15am which was great timing. saw most of my crews go thru. quick bit of shopping and then we had our picnic and then home.

dd's first pair of shoes initiated her FIRST proper standing alone moment. it was great, in the shop she stood for ages and ages for the first time ever! aww a proud parent moment believe me.

if anyone's up for a coffee/catch up sometime tomorrow let me know. i think i am car-less tho so a bit limited on where i can get to........

hope everyone's enjoyed the weekend and are fully recovered from our debauched friday evening!

PC666

YanksUponThames · 17/09/2006 22:50

(Didn't mean to imply my Friday night wine came up or anything. Fortunately.)

PC666, what a sweet moment. Enjoy them while they last! I already miss (some of...) ds's cuter things from when he was littler...

fatfox · 18/09/2006 09:05

PC666 thanks for that link (saved me doing it )

How old is DD? She didn't look old enough to stand when I met her - is she about 9 months? What a wonderful moment

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 09:18

Can do 19th shall I start a new thread?

PC isn't it great how little things like standing make us proud? Heartwarming isn't it.

As predicted didn't get round to get to the new workstation as dh was busy still setting it up. Hopefully will get my paws on it tonight to do the pics from Friday

OP posts:
Uwila · 18/09/2006 09:48

Yes, please. New thread required. I'd go do it myself. But don't want to risk us both doing it, hence having two of them.

By the way, MrsBigD, that was a great restaurant pick. I really liked it.!! yum yum...

Okay, must work now....

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 10:37

Meet up 19 October 2006 Escale Richmond

And yes the food was great on Friday, though I only provided the URL and you guys picked it

PC666 - get the camcorder out so you don't miss ANY of those 1st's! We 4get so quickly and boy do I regret not filming some of those special things.

BigD - you weren't soaking up the sun in Bushy Park's sand pit yesterday were you? Either it was you or your long lost twin. I almost shouted out "hey there bigD" but seeing as I've only seen your photo and at the risk of making a total prat of myself I held back! [GRIN]

2Cute · 18/09/2006 11:41

that was supposed to be btw...hey, I'm new to this stuff.

MrsBigD · 18/09/2006 11:52

nope wasn't me 2cute
Though I must have a twin somewhere in the area. A woman kept shouting some name after me and then ran after me to stop me, only to go 'oh so sorry, I thought you were xyz'... now who's stolen my look?

Anyhow I'm usually easy to spot I@m the one frantically trying to keep up with both kids running in different directions, shouting their names

OP posts:
2Cute · 18/09/2006 12:01

I'm always trying to keep up with my 2, that's me DH and DS....not easy when you're only 5ft 2"! lol

I suggest all you working mums pull a sicky and lets all take the kids out for a day, while we've still got the sun...go on....you know you wanna!
