Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

You want to check out the Stats thread again -- all beautifully summarised by MrsBigD

sfxmum · 15/09/2006 20:48

hello bad west london post girl here
i am now officially a stay at home mum (since yesterday)never thought it was the thing for me, i guess life happens

2Cute · 16/09/2006 00:26

ta lemonaid

BigD - I'm most impressed with your organisational skills. Put ppl like moi (who've 4gotten the meaning of the word "organise") to shame!

Nanou1 - my DS is a March '04 babe as well

Must trod off to sleep now, on me lonesome

fatfox · 16/09/2006 08:39

Yaaaawwwwwwwn

Mornin' All

Anyone else up yet?

Oxo - did everyone else get home OK last night, or are they all asleep on the floors/sofas in your living room this morning?

BigKat (and lovely sister) - did you have a good time last night? I hope you enjoyed it. I can't believe we got kicked out of that hotel!!! - 'specially with me being PG and everything!!!!!

Nanou - you got home really quickly - before I'd even finished my Hot Chocolate!! I was really expecting a text at 12.30, saying "help, stuck at Turnham Green - trains have finished"

I had a great time so hope everyone else enjoyed themselves too.

Sue it was great to see you yesterday - how was your trip to the hairdressers? Do you like the "new you"?

Listen - did everyone else get home OK last night - what time did you all get to bed?

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 08:45

Yes I'm up - not sleeping well at the moment so have been transformed from my single woman slug like morning state to pre-mummy up at down state.

I quite like the hair cut Foxie though I've had better, short if definitely better for a while I think. The blowdry was a nightmare. Why do hairdressers insist on taking a perfectly normal haircur and turning it into something that would deflect armour piercing bullets? Looks better since I washed it out.

You got thrown out of a hotel?!

fatfox · 16/09/2006 08:46

Puds - I agree with you about Monkey Music. We never went to the classes, but went to quite a few Monkey Music parties and yes it was nice, but I think its a bit over priced TBH, which is why we never signed up for the classes wheh DS and DD were small.

PC666 - how long have you been waiting for your passes now? They often get overloaded in the Kew office, so might be worth giving them a call and seeing if they can send you a letter or something in the interim to get you in, if its going to take them weeks to do your passes. I had to wait about two months once for a renewal, so they let me use old passes in the meantime.

Hi sfx - hope you enjoy your new life as a sahm There seems to be lots going on in terms of dayime meets , so you shouldn't get bored anyway

Sorry if I've missed anyone (Hi Lemonaid - still love your name!).

Have the newbies put their stats on the west London stats thread now?

Must nip over and check....

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 08:51

Which one of us is the professional photgrapher? My sister is arranging a fundraising calendar for the six form rugby tour of australia and wants to commission a pro. She already has one lined up but would like another to quote. She looking to moody glam kind of photos - trying to make spotty 17 year olds look sexy but in a tasteful way so that both grannies and girlies will buy for differnt reasons!

fatfox · 16/09/2006 08:58

Sue - glad you like your new hair - its a good idea to have a low maintenance cut for life with a baby, 'specially as they tend to like to pull long hair

I find hairdressers more scary than denists; always want to bouffant your hair don't they and insist on sticking loads of vile smelly sticky things on it?

We exited restaurant at 11am last night and crawled up to a hotel that Oxo knows. She ordered 2 bottles of wine (and hot choccy for the chauffeur), but when she tried to pay, it turned out they wouldn't serve us, because we didn't have a room booked and it was after 11pm. (about 3 minutes after actually)

After much wheedling, attempts at persuasion and offers of free sex on our part, we got kicked out

Oxo, BigKat, her sister and Ulwila crawled off for a debauched night, while us goody girls crawled home with our handbags between our legs

Next time we go to a restaurant that DOES do hot chocolate

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 09:03

oh an I didn;t even include the story of the suspicious sticky stuff they sprayed in my hair. Revolting stuff. I think hairdresser was a bit shocked by me

"what does m'dom do with her hair normally in the morning?"

I brush it

"no I mean after m'dom has washed it"

I brush it

"no I mean in terms of styling"

I brush it, BRUSH IT!

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 09:03

can't beleive they resisted your offers of free sex - who did you offer them?

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 09:06

off to get some breakfast - catch you later.

fatfox · 16/09/2006 09:17

Sue - can't tell you who we offered them, but it was the best looking one, so you can guess

"Brush it" ???? Are you sure you're being entirely honest Sue, after all that's not what you told me? You need a hairbrush to do that

pudding77 · 16/09/2006 09:33

FF, the other reason was I didn't really want to book for a block of classes as you know you'll always end up missing at least one if not more! & I've just added my details to the stats thread!

Sounds like a good night - must tell us more about the hotel incident !

SJ - lol at hairdrying, my hairdresser is the same, tho last time I went he caught me trying to deflate it slightly immediately after I'd left

pudding77 · 16/09/2006 09:34

You're too quick, ff, or are you reading my mind?!

fatfox · 16/09/2006 10:06

Puds - actually yes - I now what you're going to say next

Actually, I always know what my Mum is going to say next anyone else find that?

Couldn't possibly comment on who offered the sex

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 10:11

FF - if you are going to tell "not brushing my hair stories" then I am going to tell "feeding my DD nothing but pink icing" stories

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 10:15

ever have one of those days when you have piles and piles to do but are mooching around ineffectually doing none of it? I'm having one already and it only 10.25.

What I need is a bacon sandwich - sadly no bacon in the house, or bread either...

YanksUponThames · 16/09/2006 10:26

If anyone knows Paddlechick's mobile number, could you please text it to 07914 022 751 ??
Purty please? Trying to actually go to river...

I thought she had it posted here somewhere, but I can't find it...

suejoneziscalmernow · 16/09/2006 10:37

Ooh I'd forgotten about that - may wander down now

MrsBigD · 16/09/2006 10:52

SJ I do photography but have no studio just some backdrops and make use of any light source around.

Lemonaid also does photography and has been 'in the game' a bit longer don't know whether she has a studio but going by her website she has lighting

Last night was lovely, but boy was I a bit sozzled . Never been thrown out of a hotel before so woohay!

Ladies, will edit pics later when kids are asleep and I'm able to focus again.

Had to drive to swimming pool for dd's first swimming lesson and am sure still was over the legal limit a sign of a good night I'm sure.

The swimming lesson started with very clingy and crying dd. She normally loves the pool, but that evil teacher took them into the 'deep' part. She can actually stand in there... JUST, so got scared. They really should put 'minimum height of xyz required or kid will drink 1/2 the pool during lesson' ... The she finally relaxed about 5 mins before the end of class and then he dared suggest everybody lie back on the floating tube and get their hair wet!

sfxmum · 16/09/2006 12:48

good morning [quietly said for those on meet up recovery]
oops its afternoon, nevermind i only got up at 11.30

about sahm i think it will be a while until i get used to it still shell shocked at the turn around my life had since child.

monkey music - dh used to take dd to the one on sandycomb or north rd not sure where.
not sure what activities to do apart from swimming at pools in the park and climbers and creepers.
suggestions welcome

fatfox · 16/09/2006 13:57

sfxmum - climbers and creepers is fab, as is the lollipop club in London Welsh Rugby Ground on Kew Road, Richmond. Also snakes and ladders in Syon Park, for al ages, with special areas for each age.

We're off now to drive across London for DS and DD's single jabs (Rubella - must protect other PG women ). Afterwards, treating them to a MacDonald's (pure bribery for letting the nurse torture them - the first Mac they've been allowed in a year) & popping into see friend on way back and I may even be offered Dinner

Just hope that friend, who quit smoking, has managed to keep it up

Hope everyone else enjoys this fine Saturday

sfxmum · 16/09/2006 14:46

fatfox - thanks for that, we use kew gardens a lot since it is within walking distance, i dont drive and don't always fancy a bus journey.

dd had her mmr last tuesday, after much soul searching on our part, she is a bit out of sorts today

hope all having nice saturday
