Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Just did, fatfox....Thanks!!!

fatfox · 13/09/2006 12:41

Nanou - I can pick you up from Kew Station if that's easier as its near where I live and sort of on the way. Can you get to Kew Station for 6.50/55pm?

If you want to meet at the station, you need to get off the train and go out onto the paved area where the shops are (Don't fo under the subway). Its the back exit. I can park there and will be able to see you.

Can you text me your mobile number too?

fatfox · 13/09/2006 12:44

Oxo/PC666 - I don't want to pull in on Whittaker Avenue as it'll be hard to get out again.

Can I meet you outside the little cinema(not the main big Odeon, and not the Filmhouse), on Red Lion Steet, opposite Pizza Express? I can pull in on the corner where the bus's come out of the bus station and you can stand near that corner. Does that make sense?

Nanou1 · 13/09/2006 12:55

that would be fab fatfox. must easier to meet at kew station. ta very much

MrsBigD · 13/09/2006 12:57

fatfox you do run a taxi company don't you LOL

So Yanks shall we meet up and hang out on the road side 1 stop after Lion Gate?

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 12:59

so are you all going to hang around on street corners swinging your handbags waiting for someone to pick you up?

Nanou1 · 13/09/2006 12:59

mrsbigd. put a note to you on the other thread! will come straight from work so easier to meet at kew station.

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 13:04

Oh yes and take all your poncing about for Friday onto the Friday thread where its can't torment me...

Nanou1 · 13/09/2006 13:14

MrsBigD · 13/09/2006 13:30

What to wear? nothing too revealing, gotta leave some things to the imagination And yes Nanou you can join us we'll share our part of the curb

OP posts:
fatfox · 13/09/2006 13:31

Nanou - let me know if you change venue on Friday, (07779-289-041) so I don't hang around at the station looking suspicious

Have you got a mobile?

fatfox · 13/09/2006 13:31

sorry Sue

YanksUponThames · 13/09/2006 13:35

Oh. (hi Nanou!) If you're using Tube stations, the Richmond station actually drops you off on the main road/high street/65 bus route, whereas the Kew station is offset from Kew Rd. a long block away. Going straight across to Kew Rd. from the Tube station brings you to the Victoria Gate (and 65 bus stop) of the Gardens. The Pagoda Ave. bus stop is about 3-4 stops further on (heading south). Maybe a 10-15 minute walk?

Depending on which Tube station you're closest to, you might have the least walking if you got on the 65 bus at Ealing B'way.

OR, we could all gather at the Victoria Gate bus stop instead!... No car park there, but there is a stoplight. Maybe that's the best compromise?

YanksUponThames · 13/09/2006 13:40

OOoops, Sorry about cluttering up the general west london thread with this travel arrangement stuff......
Duh.

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 19:01

Can we have a general chit chat and ad hoc meet up thread and a specific monthly meeting thread separately? that way you wouldn;t all have to torment me with all for minibus outings to lovely places I can't go to...

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 19:03

or is this the general chit chat and ad hoc meetings thread?!

fatfox · 13/09/2006 19:22

Sue

this is the general thread, but like you, I'm getting confused.

Anyway, where is everyone today eh?

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 19:23

well I've been working (am still at work now btw)

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 19:24

shouldn't you be doing bedtime or something?

fatfox · 13/09/2006 19:26

Sue

I'm still at work too, making up my fecking compressed hours, so I can take Friday off.

Its quite difficult to focus as all I want to do is think about babies; are you having the same problem, with your pending parenthood looming?

suejoneziscalmernow · 13/09/2006 19:45

I'm enmeshed in a 3 yr strategic review with our investors so am actually quite focussed in work at the moment as I would quite like to have a job to come back to!

Feeling pretty grumpy about it though as I would quite like to be languidly wafting around thinking about junior and finishing of the nursery...

pudding77 · 13/09/2006 20:03

Hello everyone, sorry to jump in here but I'm relatively new to MN & I live in West London also. I have a ds, 7.5m, and would love to meet some more people in my area!

YanksUponThames · 13/09/2006 20:03

Hi Sue! I totally sympathize with your work/office woes etc. (I've been completely hijacked for a while with long-distance family issues! (plus moving) Much less fun than meeting up with you all.) Let me know when you can wedge in a moment edgewise and we can get together (especially since I'm living closer now!). Let me know if I can help...

YanksUponThames · 13/09/2006 20:07

Hi pudding77! Let me know where you are and maybe we can meet up. I'm in the Kew/Richmond area, and have no car, but have got familiar with the buses & trains etc. The Richmond Green area, or Kew Gardens, is good for meeting with shops & restaurants etc. I have ds 4 yrs old.
