Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Hey Nanou and FF you were discussing what to wear for your friday pick-up.....I thought macs (kagools) were the only way to go???!!!

Hey to pud77, welcome and good luck with trying to keep track of this thread...it takes me an hour to catch up each time I log-in!!!

Paddlechick666 · 13/09/2006 21:50

evening evening evening!

i have spent All flippin day trying to get onto this site at work and being CONSTANTLY interrupted.

HOW BLOODY RUDE!

but on the upside I remembered how to get out of the station, avoided lunchtime bird-pooh (by not leaving building) and no one asked if I was pregnant again.

Day 2 Tomorrow...........

erm, FF yep I can be wherever you would like me to be at whatever time you would like me to be there!

talking of what to wear - what to wear? I am not very good at glam but if absolutely necessary I might be able to find a mascara and lippy! not sure about clothes tho........

hope you're all well!

2Cute · 14/09/2006 00:39

Yep

Think I should change my name to night owl! LOL

quokka · 14/09/2006 08:48

Hi Pudding my ds2 is 7.5 months as well . We live in Gunnersbury, not sure if thats close to you or not?

2cute how can you stay up that late? My ds2 is cutting his first teeth so I'm getting as much sleep as poss as hes been waking up screaming!

fatfox · 14/09/2006 09:26

Hi gals

and a special welcome to Puds - have a look on our other thread and see if you can join us on Friday. Also, we have a stats thread where you can put your details and find out who lives near you etc.

Had a dream I was having sex with our priest last night. My colleague at work said it symbolises wanting to ingratiate myself with "Him up there" so I can get DS into the London Oratory

Surely not !!

Just think: one quick session with the priest and then calculate the savings in private school fees!

Woke up at 2am, DYING for a cornish pastie. Woke up at 7 (late for moi) and cooked one for breakfast

Baby's is kicking me at nightime now

Looking forward to Friday.

pudding77 · 14/09/2006 09:32

oh blimey, lots of hellos there! [waves back at everyone]

I'm in Brentford so not that far at all from you quokka, and yanks I'm also very familiar with buses etc so can meet up pretty much anywhere.

I'm afraid I can't join you this week, very kind of you all to invite me tho, & if you arrange another one then hopefully I'll be at that one!

Out of curiosity does anybody do the music class in Kew on a Friday am? If so, I'm starting this week so will meet you then!

quokka · 14/09/2006 09:38

hey pudding, is it Monkey music in Kew? I take ds1 to Watermans music class on wed. Its pay as you go and the lady is lovely but quite mad . Sometimes she makes us sing these african songs - gods knows what they mean, she's a bit of an old hippie! Are you a sahm or planning to go back to work?

Nanou1 · 14/09/2006 09:43

morning all!! fatfox... is it the "uniform" ??!!!rmfl!!! cant stay... must concentrate on work a bit more!!!
any luck with your hols quokka? will catch up later x

Paddlechick666 · 14/09/2006 09:51

hi pudding, i'm in isleworth so not far from you at all. my usual day off is tuesdays and dd is nearly 11 months.

got to think of something cool but ad-hoc to do with dd on day off as probably childminder will be hogging 1 o'clock club Mon & Fri and Grandma has got dibs on Syon House Weds & Thurs .

was thinking Gymboree but A) it's not cheap and B) i don't want to sign up for a whole term thus regimenting my day off iyswim

2nd consecutive day at work this week and am very very very bored already........

oh, anyone got any fabulous ideas for a joint birthday treat for two very sullen teens (16 boy & 18girl) that's not going to break the bank?

was thinking Trocadero bowling then a show but am somewhat out of touch..........

hmmmm, coffee i think.

quokka · 14/09/2006 10:30

hey the "child play cafe" is good in Chiswick. You can come and go all day and it costs £3. They have four rooms full of toys (inside and out) and great food (or you can bring your own) . I usually send ds's with grandparents when I want them out of the house

Paddlechick666 · 14/09/2006 10:38

brilliant quokka - thanks so much!

;-)

fatfox · 14/09/2006 11:14

Quokka - where abouts is that dafe in Chiswick, it sounds great?

suejoneziscalmernow · 14/09/2006 11:14

music in Kew on fridays - do tell, Friday is my day off so could take Junior - what age group is it, where is it? Is it lovely calming Beethoven for mums with coffee, while someone takes screaming children off to a sound-proofed room and gives them drums to bang? [keen emoticon]

fatfox · 14/09/2006 11:14

Quokka - sorry - meant CAFE not daffy

fatfox · 14/09/2006 11:15
