Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Lemonaid, don't you be so cheeky!

Actually last night I dreamt I was trying to have sex with Roman Polanski in my attic - he was working as a Polish builder. All was going well until I suffocated him with my huge (.)(.)'s

fatfox · 12/09/2006 09:03

Oxo/Pc666, shall we say 7.10pm to pick you up?

Uwila · 12/09/2006 09:28

So it is true that preggie women have great dreams.

I'm going to be away for a couple of days so try not to chat too much or it'll take me foreveer to catch up.

Nanou1 · 12/09/2006 09:40

hi guys! all well here and busy - hard to keep up with you lot! wondered if quokka is going on friday night? shall we go together if you are? good news ff you ok today? and quokka.... we did the maths wrong the other night for the cab! i owe you!!! have a good day all. sue... get those jabs done cos you never know and you might come back with a baby and a man too

Paddlechick666 · 12/09/2006 09:44

i had great dreams when i was pg - when i could sleep that is lol!

i'm off out for the day and have doubts about my ability to catch up later, never mind a few days!!

Oxo, didn't realise ironing was an issue so doubly glad about that now that dh has proper job - buggered if i'm doing 5 collared shirts a week for him!

will confirm 7ish for friday later - assuming dh is still speaking to me.

just roasted him down phone after dropping him at work as SatNav wasn't working. hardly his fault or much he could about it but didn't stop me!

i seem to be in an amazingly bad mood this week .

oh dear.............

I can't keep up with this thread......too fast for me! BigD, I still haven't got someone to look after DS on Friday but I'm not a nay yet as I'm keeping hope!

Thanks for details about the cleaners. Oxo £8 sounds good to me (for the cleaner in case any1's wondering!) Can I get the details?

SJ, sorry to be nosey but where are you off to? These posts about your travel sound really interesting but I'm clueless about what's going on. (Can a newbie get away with being so nosey?)

lemonaid · 12/09/2006 11:44

SJ is off to Kazakhstan for 6 weeks to meet and adopt her new (probably) son or (possibly) daughter. The whole process has dragged on for ages but this last stage has all happened very quickly, so everyone is very excited!

Nanou1 · 12/09/2006 11:50

you can say that again

xoxoxo · 12/09/2006 14:17

doesn't Roman Polenski only go after young'uns?
no detracting from you ff, but given that you are over say 15, you've got no chance.
and isn't he ugly anyway.

I don't have anything against ugly, I have fancied some weird types in my time.
Dave Spikey - not pretty but funny. Ditto Billy Connolly. Trying to think of someone I fancy for their intellect, but not suprisingly am too knackered or dumb to think of one.

2Cute · 12/09/2006 14:56

That's great! (i'm talking about SJ's adoption not Roman Polenski btw!)

Best of luck SJ

xoxoxo · 12/09/2006 19:00

hi, do you guys know it is grandparents day on 23rd september?
Just thought I'd mention it so you can suck up and get some 'babysitting' brownie points for MN night out!!

This is from my M&S calander so it MUST be true.
xoxoxo

fatfox · 12/09/2006 19:21

Grandparent's day?

Does that mean its a public holiday so we don't have to go to work?

MrsBigD · 12/09/2006 20:25

well you won't have to go to work the 23rd is a Saturday

Hello - I'm here...

suejoneziscalmernow · 12/09/2006 22:13

and no-ones around to play now that I finally have some time on Mumsnet

YanksUponThames · 12/09/2006 22:23

Hi Sue! I'm here! For a little bit, anyway; will crash soon. Dh "working" late (actually went to match at the Oval)...

YanksUponThames · 12/09/2006 22:31

LOL fatfox!! Roman Polanski indeed. Hee.
Bit long in the tooth now, though, idn't he?
Or were you picturing the 70s-80s version...

YanksUponThames · 12/09/2006 22:32

...not that being Long In The Tooth matters as much for blokes as it does for women. Hmmphhh.

suejoneziscalmernow · 12/09/2006 22:33

ooh hello Yanks - didn;t realise you were around.

suejoneziscalmernow · 12/09/2006 22:33

did trip home get everything sorted?

lemonaid · 12/09/2006 22:40

I'm around, but going to bed soon... really...

suejoneziscalmernow · 12/09/2006 22:51

thought I'd scared everyone off...

suejoneziscalmernow · 12/09/2006 22:51

bet you've gone too now ...

YanksUponThames · 12/09/2006 22:54

Well, got my mom's flat cleaned out, but no time for anything else but that. We were all 3 going to go, with me & ds there for 2 weeks, but then the 'terror' thing made travel suddenly insane (and dh chicken out) so it was just me for one week. Dh could only take one week off work.

Cleaning out my mom's pathologically rubbish-filled apartment was unspeakably vile, actually. And finding places to give/stash/leave her remaining non-vile belongings took the rest of the week. No time to do any useful maintenance etc. at my house, for instance. Hmph. Best forgotten, and get on with life. Except for things we need to do at the house, and dh can't be bothered.
