I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

glad meet up went well nothing like a well oiled knees up

re kew we have a joint memebership and each get 6 free passes, its well worth the money and so far my teenage niece and nephew go free, only use passes for adults

sorry to hear of the varioues health troubles, i too badly need a dentist have been putting it off too long
take care

quokka · 04/09/2006 11:56

I'm up for Kew, anytime. Will be there on Wed if anyone wants to hook up?

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 12:05

hi quokka! how are you today?

fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:13

Paddle - yes Kids go free to Kew Gardens

Sfxmum - you must have the more expensive Friends membership, to get the 6 free passes. Are you posh or wot? Serioulsy, I had that for two years but could never get rid of the free passes, as everyone I know has a Kew Gardens season ticket anyway

Ulwila - I keep posting my mobile number in the hope that someone Kooky might contact me

MrsBigD - we should do lunch in Ealing one day what d'ya reckon?

quokka · 04/09/2006 12:14

Hi nanou did you have a nice weekend? I've been enjoying my last days of being a twenty something.

sfxmum · 04/09/2006 12:16

actually fatfox i am quite vulgarmy family lives in north london and dh's in The north so its useful since we live in a small flat.
we seem to have a acquired a few new friends too
i practically lived there when dd was a tiny baby, so not change yst really

fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:17

Quokka - twenty something? I must be old enough to be your mother ?

You young thing you.

If only I had the body of a 20 year old, with the confidence of a 43 year old....(sighs wistfully)....

fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:22

sfx mum - I practically lived there during my two maternity leave periods as well. Its a really good place to breastfeed, you can sit for hours and there are no wierdos or tutting prudes to make you feel awkward.

Its one of the few places where you can enjoy a solitary walk but not feel nervous of meeting a care in the community case. Also, no cars or dog poo

When shall we do Kew Gardens then Chaps?

quokka · 04/09/2006 12:25

Well you would have had to have me at 13 to be my mum fatfox . Tuurning 30 on Wed and strangely I'm not bothered by it, so far I've been given pressies, cards, taken out to dinner, had an expensive haircut, and it's still not my actual birthday! I'm loving it I wish I was turning 30 all the time .

Nanou had neighbours dd over on fri and she had the best time! We made play doh and she got on so well with ds. I managed to get her around when her granny was looking after her. Unfortunately I don't think it will be a regular thing as her daddy is a bit strange

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 12:29

Hmmm last days of 20 something... I vaguely remember those ...

fatfox lunch in Ealing sounds good. NOt this week though, going to have to take extra time off work already as ds is starting nursery and dd reception. Yippieh! oh or should I shed a tear or 2? LOL

OP posts:
fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:43

MrsBigD - me too - DD is starting nursery tomorrow. She's soooooooooooooo exited

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 12:47

ds isn't old enough yet to get exceited about it LOL hoping an all day nursery will wear him down ehr I mean out and he'll sleep at night

OP posts:
fatfox · 04/09/2006 12:54

MrsBigD - he'll be absolutely exhausted!!! How many hours a day will he be going?

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 12:56

this week it will be 2h or so tomorrow and Wednesday, Thursday will try for 'ditch and run' with probably getting a phone call after a couple of hours', Friday was aiming for 4 and then it can be in theory 8-18 which I won't subject him to unless I have to change jobs. Probably will drop him so it fits in with dd's school run, i.e. 8.30 and pick him up around 16:30/1700 so I have special time with dd after school

bunyanvillas · 04/09/2006 13:54

Greetings, all! I can't make the 15th as that's the day of a "little operation" I am having at West Mid - oh, joy. But I am generally around on a Monday or Tuesday if anyone fancies meeting up?

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 13:59

Hi guys! good weekend - celebrated 65th birthday of a family friend near portsmouth. a bit a journey in one day so just as well it was on Saturday. cleaning on sunday!!!! dh took dd swimming and said she is looking out for kids to play with in the pool - maybe a "pool party" is on the cards??!! quokka young bird!!!! right now can't remember what it was like to be 30 . you'll have to remind me mrsbigd . quokka - re your neighbour's dd... does not surprise me; just makes me feel sad for her... paint, glitter, playdough are far too messy so she is not allowed to do those at home, as well as paper cutting, glueing, cooking and having other kids to mess the place up. not kidding you . must catch up with some work. good day all. x

Uwila · 04/09/2006 14:03

Pool party? You are crackers if you think I'm getting into a swimsuit in public. Wobblewobble blub blub... Don't think so!

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 14:09

Sorry Uwila... should have been more explicit. i was thinking daddies and kiddies in the pool whilst mummies sipping a drink and chatting in the caf.... I would not be seen dead in a swimsuit... not a thunderthigh was me!!!! actually not funny cos not nice to be fat.

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 14:10

Uwila you're not that wobble wobble blub blub! And if I dare to bare in a swim suit so can you LOL

Nanou1 remind you of what? being 30? now what was that again?

OP posts:
quokka · 04/09/2006 14:11

Nanou my dh takes ds to brentford pool on sundays. He is now going down the slide!

Uwila whats wrong with a bit of wobble

MrsBigD · 04/09/2006 14:11

now there's a thought! dads & babies meet LOL

As for 'not be seen in swimsuit'... come to Gurnell! Even if YOU think you're big, which you lot aren't there you will feel skinny

OP posts:
quokka · 04/09/2006 14:17

I find it funny in this country that I'm a young mum, I think in oz women have babies earlier.

Uwila · 04/09/2006 14:18

Oh shut up quokka. You haven't got any wobble.

Nanou1 · 04/09/2006 14:21

uwila - you certainly are not wobble!!!! if i had your figure i would not even bother with a swimsuit!!! if you've got it, flaunt it!!! quokka brentford too; not super clean but convenient and cheap . dh tends to go on sat pm, sunday was "exceptional". i think living in london makes you have kids later
