Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Oh, yeah right. Jura's gonna show up... I believe that like I believe CountessDracula is ever gonna show up.

2Cute · 08/09/2006 16:12

Sorry to wiggle my way in to your thread but I'm new to mumsnet and wasn't to sure how to break the ice!

I live in Twickenham and would sooooo love to here from others in the area....miss adults (no disrespect to my DH!)

Nanou1 · 08/09/2006 16:15

Nanou1 · 08/09/2006 16:27

MrsBigD · 08/09/2006 16:35

Mr. Nanou CONGRATS!

2Cute... come on and break the ice properly and join us on 15th. We're pretty harmless, honest and we've 'acquired' quite a few newbies lately so you're in good company

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 08/09/2006 16:39

danke very much!!!!

Uwila · 08/09/2006 16:42

Hi 2cute. You are most welcome here. And yes it would be great if you can join us next Friday. So, tell us a bit about yourself. Kids? Ages? work?

Nanou1 · 08/09/2006 16:44

uwila... you are SO nosy
so... go on 2cute, kids? husband? house? garden?!

Uwila · 08/09/2006 16:51

moi? nosey? I get no respect round here.

quokka · 08/09/2006 16:54

congrats Mr Nanou! Whats the job like? Can you believe it I've had neighbours dd around and we did painting with the nanny I've just sent them home and she's covered in paint! Its even in her hair, but it is washable .

Welcome 2cute

xoxoxo · 08/09/2006 16:55

Nanou: fantastic news - hope you are going out to celebrate in style.

2cute: welcome, I am newbie too. There is a stats thread but I'm not talented enough to do a link - can someone else oblige.
Thought - who is going to look after stats when sj is busy??? I have no clue so will count my self out (workshy!). But tell us about yourself. Go on, you can tell me, I'm not half as scarey as the others.....

Uwila · 08/09/2006 17:03

SJ doesn't do the stats. MrsBigD does. Our trouble will be if she gets a new job that actually entails working for a living.

West London Stats Thread

MrsBigD · 08/09/2006 17:15

:p I'll still have time for the stats LOL

My boss approached me today as he wants to downsize the company and 'get rid' of the guy who does the books as he's close to retirment age anyhow... ehrem... me and accounting ... oh boy!

OP posts:
Uwila · 08/09/2006 17:18

That's cool though, MrsBigD. Think of all the funds you can allocate to our meet-ups.

Seriously, it's a good opportunity to add a new skill to the CV. So, congrats.

Uwila · 08/09/2006 17:19

Oh, not sure how much I'll be around next week. I'm off to Italy on Tues and back on Thursday so I'll still be at the meet on Friday. But, could someone else book it? Is Tony Roma's okay with everyone?

suejoneziscalmernow · 08/09/2006 17:20

OK I'm back - busy busy busy.

Been to work (on my non-work day) to pick up vital piece of paper which had to be notarised this afternoon (hurrah! a two hour round trip to work which I could have done without). Been to notary to have my criminal records check, employers letter and medical notarised in Southfields and booked my flights.

I'll say that again in case you missed it..

I BOOKED MY FLIGHTS

Provisionally booked leaving 26 September, back 11 November.

I'll just say that agiain becasue I like the sound of it...

I BOOKED MY FLIGHTS

lemonaid · 08/09/2006 17:23

Can't make 15th but would like to try to make the October meet (assuming you don't all fall out and call the whole thing off...)

MrsBigD · 08/09/2006 17:24

So all of you please ay or nay's for 15th

really coming 'alive' now isn't it? fantastic.

mrs big d: sorry - great stats thread. thanks. and yes, count me in for kingston. Am going to drive so does anyone want a lift?

Paddlechick666 · 08/09/2006 17:43

well done SJ!! My US friends who adopted from China are sending you good vibes. They considered Kazak too apparently. See, you're getting a worldwide reputation now!

I'm a definate maybe for 15th.........

Congrats to Mr Nanou1 on the job. My dh has done 1.5 days "proper" work this week and we're already gloating over the extra income LOL.

I feel like proper London Mum today after walking MILES and getting 3 different tubes and 2 buses. Whoever said London was unfriendly - heaps of people have helped me with the buggy.

Ooh and welcome to today's Newbie 2Cute, I'm also very newbie so you're in good company

by the way, did you all hear?

SJ BOOKED HER FLIGHTS!!!!

PC666
ps: I'd have "shouted" that but I can't do emphasis

quokka · 08/09/2006 17:47

yay sj I'm sooooo excited for you!

suejoneziscalmernow · 08/09/2006 17:48

Oooooooh - I'm world famous!

(oh yeah sorry Mr Nanou - congrats to you too)

fatfox · 08/09/2006 17:52

Hi - congrats Nanou on DH's new job - you must be sighing wih relief - that's great news

Sue - Wow - its really happening isn't it? That's fantastic.

Uwila - sorry to be a damp squib but not sure about Tony Roma's - it only has four veggie things and none of them look to appealing. Sorry everyone

I think I may be miscarrying as well as I'm bleeding and feel very unwell

MrsBigD · 08/09/2006 17:57

fatfox
go and see the midwife/doctor! Bleeding doesn't necessarily mean the worst. My old GP's sister was 6 months pg before she realised because she was still having slight periods

OK so need to work out a place that does heaps of vergetarian stuff... I'm sure there is somewhere in Kingston.

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 08/09/2006 17:58

fatfox - let me know if I can do anything as I'm around on and off over weekend.
