Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

Quokka - thanks for that link its amazing

Suejonez - and we hough you were busy at work; when really you were just playing - designing websites

Seriously, I wish I could do stuff like that (the website I mean)

Uwila · 05/09/2006 17:32

I dare say Sue cheated with a template!

Yeah, these weekday meet-up are discriminatory!

fatfox · 05/09/2006 17:39

Ulwila - absolutely!!

It shouldn't be allowed should it?

By the way I tried to cancel my DH2000 appointment but they said that to get a 100% refund (as opposed to 50%) , I would have to send them the slip from the other clinic, proving the kids had been immunised. They're very hot on trying to ensure that people get all three jabs done, rather than slipping through the loop leaving kids unvaccinated. I suppose its quite responsible really, but I couldn't be arsed, so will ust go on 16th instead of 9th

xoxoxo · 05/09/2006 18:52

HI
just back from park - bliss....
had quick look at sj's website - so THAT'S where kazimabob place is; mortified as it is really big. I have poor O level in geography, do you think it shows that I didn't take it further?

It's hard work being in the park all afternoon you know! Anyway, you working mums have a major advantage over us sahm's - money. I remember disposable incomes with affection. I also recall being able to buy a bottle of wine above £3.99 - wow!!

fatfox · 05/09/2006 19:48

Oxo to be honest, I find it harder work when I'm at home than when I'm messin' in the office

bumpmakestwo · 05/09/2006 20:12

Well I work (only two days) but I still look for a bottle of wine preferably under £2.99!!! Went to Bushey Pk, met up with sister-in-law who winged about my brother (don't blame her - he's being an arse. There are some benefits to being a single mum of a 5mths old....they can't run around the park in deer poo and I don't have to share my bottle of wine!!!

Oh SJ love the site. You sounded a little scary earlier but Im loving your dedication to your new addition!!

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 20:13

yes defenitely these daytime meets are very discriminatory for us woring mums I so feel like I'm missing out, but then again if didn't work I'd be missing my sanity

sfxmum · 05/09/2006 20:17

hello all
i just can't keep up but have high hopes for next week when i become a sahm. i keep saying this out loud but the whole business sounds scary as hell.

my last week will be spent on call for old times sake i guess.

SJ thats a great site so glad you nearly there

hope you are all well really must check out marble hill sounds tasty

suejoneziscalmernow · 05/09/2006 22:09

"You sounded a little scary earlier" - am very very scary in reality. sometimes I put on a thin veneer of pleasant-ness so that people don;t run away from me screaming but it wears a bit thin after a while and I have to resort to niraml scary behaviour. I have been being scary all day and haven't quite got back into "pleasant SJ" mode again yet!

Announced to staff in office that I ws sodding off to adopt from KAzakhsatn and they are so scared of me that no-one commented. Apart from one of our sales team, who came and gave me a kiss on the cheek, But to be honest I suspect that was a dare

suejoneziscalmernow · 05/09/2006 22:11

"I dare say Sue cheated with a template!"
Uwila

Whisper

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 22:42

SJ you're not scary! LOL

as for what gives the template away... week 1 onwards 'Your headline' LOL but hey you're busy with other things aren't you, like scaring your underlings

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 05/09/2006 23:15

Actually the time I took was selectng from the gazillion templates (clours layouts etc) and getting the information and pictures. It's not easy getting pictures of Kaz when you haven;t been there you know. (thats a scary emoticon)

arfishymeau · 05/09/2006 23:40

PMSL. You lot are funny. I had to go to bed because you'd been distracting me until 20 to 1. DD's little face bouncing up and down on me was a "delight" 5 hours later.

xoxoxo - I love your staged bread. Flour touch is inspired.

Quokka (I've seen you at the wildlife park ) - I'm in Coogee at the moment. About to depart for the lovely Telstra switch site on Pitt St (my catchphrase is "I do 3G").

MrsBigD - oddly enough I was working in Germany while I was arranging the relocation to Aus. You should try doing the visa application when your paperwork is in another country.

Uwila, thanks for organising me . All I've got to do now is bully everybody into holding a meetup during the few days I'm actually in Kingston.

MrsBigD · 06/09/2006 06:32

Arfishy, don't think you'll have to bully re the dates... just tell us when we're generally an accommodating bunch [wink

SJ... yes you're right the colour selection and intellectual input into the website is a very important factor... oh and still I don't think you're scary

xoxoxo · 06/09/2006 07:34

Morning all;
have dashe dhopes of looking good for school visit: ds has found new favourite word - apparently scooby doo falls through a CRAP door (he thinks this is hilarious, made funnier by constant retelling).
And - horror - granary bread is sliced - I'm doomed. Doomed I tell you!!
Must get some flowers to put on dining table. And maybe some fruit.....
xoxoxo

MrsBigD · 06/09/2006 07:41

Hey of course the granary bread is sliced, you put all the effort into it so the kids can just grab a slice without running the risk of having to use a knife and cutting themselves

I wouldn't panic too much, it's only school not social services

OP posts:
xoxoxo · 06/09/2006 07:46

Hey, you're better at this than me. Will relax now.

Think she'll notice if fruit bowl has tinned fruit in it?

MrsBigD · 06/09/2006 08:08

so what? tinned fruit still counts towards 5-a-day

OP posts:
quokka · 06/09/2006 08:14

hey oxoxoxox still coming to Kew? I usually park near the Victoria Gate as its free after 10. Should we meet at climbers and creepers? Just catting you my mobile, never recieved yours

xoxoxo · 06/09/2006 08:19

Hi Quokka: sorry have now catted you.
See you in C&C around 10.

fatfox · 06/09/2006 09:10

Oxo - PMSL at the tinned fruit idea!

DS tried to use the word "crap in his word" blend book at school: "Write five words with "ap" in and put them into a sentence" : "DD is crap"

Sue - you're not scary. Brave yes, scary no

Nanou1 · 06/09/2006 09:13

HI all. quickly to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Quokka!!!! hope you have a lovely day. will catch up later.

fatfox · 06/09/2006 09:16

Happy Birthday Quokka - have a great day

Nanou1 · 06/09/2006 09:18
