Let's start a new thread the old one is getting too long

I'm off travelling 22-29th but before then I hope I'd be able to 'find' some time but probably not in the week leading up to 22nd as dh would probably divorce me

arfishymeau, my DD is 3.5. You could perhaps leave your DD with mine, and we can split the cost of hiring my nanny or one of my other usual babysitters. I'm in Sunbury. Or, I could just give you the name of a nice bsitter who will go to Kingston.

fatfox · 05/09/2006 15:03

Arfishy - see we've sorted your childcare and you haven't even arrived yet

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 15:07

isn't mn wonderful

HI all; have spent all day getting bangy old car through it's MOT. Kids now stir crazy so must drag myself to sunny park later.

All that talk of working women makes me feel tired. Don't know how you cope.

SJ: would you like the kids stuff popped around at your before you fly off? When is convenient?

quokka · 05/09/2006 15:19

Going to kew tomorrow to eat cake all is welcome

arfishymeau · 05/09/2006 15:23

Aw thanks guys.

I'm not sure where I'll be staying in kingston yet though, probably a hotel, so I'm not sure that a nanny/babysitter would work. I'm heading back to check up on our house & tenants and arrange to ship some of our stuff. I will only be there for a couple of days (ie not long enough to rent a place) and then move on to visit other friends and relatives.

Uwila - aw thanks for helping. I know Sunbury well. I often used to pop into the M&S or Tescos there on my way home from work. . Don't tell MrsBigD, but I REALLY miss M&S.

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 15:26

Too late! I've seen it LOL. Don't use M&S all that much so should be o.k.

quokka - retail park or gardens?
we can play in the morning, but must strive to look like 1950s housewife for school visit later. Even bought some granary bread today to put on display (won't eat the stuff!). I may dust it with flour and say it's home made.

really muist get off my bottim now and go to park....

xoxoxo · 05/09/2006 15:33

Does anyone fancy going to Syon House Aquatic centre in Isleworth on Friday morning?

quokka · 05/09/2006 15:37

Gardens, will try to get there for 10ish. You crack me xoxoxo

arfishymeau where in Sydney are you? I'm an aussie from perth but lived in Sydney for a while.

quokka · 05/09/2006 15:38

xoxoxo · 05/09/2006 15:42

Nanou1 · 05/09/2006 15:52

oxoxo cracks me "up" too! and i just loved the flour bit!!!

Nanou1 · 05/09/2006 15:53

just wondered - do you walk from your house to kew?

xoxoxo · 05/09/2006 16:06

Hi
We are members (actually, just em this yr as dh rarely goes) - so thanks but will pass on pass.

Nanou: do you mean us , walking to kew - if so, def., def, no. I still have nightmares. Not so used to exercise. Ranks just below granary bread. And tofu. And quorn. That's probably it for foods I dislike.

Really, really off to park now. Shame has gotten teh better of me.
xoxoxo

Uwila · 05/09/2006 16:08

Work with me, fishy. We can do this. You drop your DD off at my house. I pay for the babysitter, and in return you drive me back home... Alternatively, we walk to the Sunbury train station or Sunbury Cross bus stop and travel to meet-up together.

You know, I have never even set foot in that M&S.

quokka · 05/09/2006 16:11

Nanou bday tomorrow, and can't be arsed walking to kew! If I did I wouldn't be able to make it back! I can just make it to chiswick and if I get too tired pushing 2 boys and shopping (est weight 30kg) I get the E3 back.

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 16:57

Arfishy looks like you're being organised cool

can't join you Friday morning at Aquatic Experience as I a) am dumping dd at school and ds at nursery and b) have to work, if you can call it that

Anybody needs any lists or organising done?

Hi - just got back from work

Quokka - were is SJ's website?

My DH is Australian too, but from Darwin

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 17:16

fatfox if dh is Australian what are you doing over here instead of vamoosing off to warmer climes?

OP posts:
quokka · 05/09/2006 17:23

I'm sure sj wont mind me putting the link in which is here

quokka · 05/09/2006 17:24

Oh I didn't realise he was an aussie ff

fatfox · 05/09/2006 17:25

MrsBigD - That's a good point. Let's just say its more multi-cultural here in London shall we?

Anyway I would probably get skin cancer in Australia due to my celtic skin Plus, I'd be too far from my sisters to be able to argue with them regularly

We must meet for lunch, but my diary is chocca for September. Perhaps if I e-mail you, we can decide on a venue and then do late Sept/early Oct?

To tell the truth, I'm feeling a bit left out with all these sahm's meeting up during the day, out in the sun etc.

Shouldn't you girls be at home doing polishing the silverware; rather than enjoying the last days of the summer? gggrrrrrrr

quokka · 05/09/2006 17:28

there's less of us than you guys working, I sometimes feel like I'm a dying breed!
