As Nanou01 has declared me group leader here's a new thread to try and arrange our next meet-up

Oldies and newbies equally welcome :)Grin

I'm pretty free for the rest of May, bar some dentist appointments

June is very barren so any entry in my social calendar would be most welcome.

Meet without the kids any evening
Meet with the kids only weekends

When and where would whoever like to meet? Grin

Hey, anyone fancy meeting up with kids on Saturday? BBC weather is forcasting sunshine and a high of 22C. Grin

Anyone been to Marble Hill in Twickenham? Or maybe Kew Gardens?

WHERE HAS YANKS GONE?!?!?!

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 09:53

I'll check with dh whether he's made plans for Saturday :)

Haven't even heard of Marble Hill Grin just googled and it's a Heritage House :)

OP posts:
Uwila · 01/06/2006 10:04

I've only heard of Marble Hill. Haven't actually been there. I thought I heard it had a cafe and outdoor area for kiddies to run around. But, I'm not sure. If it doesn't sound good, we could do Kew. I've been promising my nanny an annual pass to Kew anyway, so I could pick it up Sturday.

Or, any other suggestions also welcome of course...

hi - have been lurking but haven't posted as can't make the 15th. maybe next time...

i will, however, be at kew gardens on saturday for a wedding, so if you're there maybe i can raise a glass of champagne in your direction hehehe Wink

Uwila · 01/06/2006 11:46

Hi Tutter. Welcome to our lively thread of mums in the Ealing area who go to work to catch up on mumsnet time. Grin

Hope you can come next time. Where are you? Kiddies? How many? How old? Do you work?

We're a nosey bunch. Grin

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 11:50

welcome Tutter... bound to have kids... I'm suspecting small ones as I get vibes of a 'Big Blue House' Grin

hi both. uwila - i think you were on my antenatal thread (i was vic891 then - bit of a sporadic poster so you may not remember me).

bits about me: i'm in kew - love the area but hate the planes (ds is a light sleeper so we tend to all wake with the first plane of the day - today 4:59 Sad).

only have one - ds turned 1 a fortnight ago. he was born at kingston.

took redundancy when i left work on mat leave so am a SAHM for now.

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 12:45

Tutter if it's any consolation... ds wakes up at 0500 without the planes LOL unless of course that is when the busses start? Gotta check that! If so then dh wll be busy rearranging the flat with us moving in to the kids room and the kids into our room LOL

Uwila · 01/06/2006 12:57

Oh right. A Due in May buddy. Cool! Nice to "see" you. DS turned 1 on the 19th. Where has the time gone?!?! It is too bad you can't come on the 19th. It would be great for you to make the next one though. We try to get together monthly, and usually on a Thursday. So, what is your schedule for July, and maybe we can organise it so you can attend.

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 13:01

19th? Is there something I should know??? Grin

July pretty open here :)

OP posts:
Tutter · 01/06/2006 13:05

ds is 2 days older than yours - he was 1 on the 17th Smile.

thursdays in july are all clear right now. dh's job is one of those where it's difficult to predict when a late night will happen, but i will do my damnedest to get him home to babysit next time.

Uwila · 01/06/2006 13:08

Oh bugger. I meant the 15th! All these numbers are confusing me... Sad

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 15:07

\link{http://www.picnicconcerts.com/\Look what I've found}

And it even mentions Marble Hill!

OP posts:
suejonez · 01/06/2006 15:33

Kew also do concerts but diffcult to get tickets. I'd love to join to you you at Kew over the weekend, but sadly I'm swanning off to posh sister's posh house in Isle of Wight for the weekend Grin

MrsBigD · 01/06/2006 15:59

We're members at Kew and might be able to get tickets. Never thought about it before though LOL problem is concerts start after 1900 and kids are going to bed a 2000 latest... argh
