As Nanou01 has declared me group leader here's a new thread to try and arrange our next meet-up

Oldies and newbies equally welcome :)Grin

I'm pretty free for the rest of May, bar some dentist appointments

June is very barren so any entry in my social calendar would be most welcome.

Meet without the kids any evening
Meet with the kids only weekends

When and where would whoever like to meet? Grin

So if I book a table for 6 people at the Wine & Moussaka Ealing for 15 June 2006 should be enough? :)

How will I recognise you? Do you all go wearing red carnations? I'm not difficult to spot - tall , fat , 41, medium brown hair - I'll be the one looking slightly appehensive.

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 11:37

Grin SJ... don't worry the place isn't all that big :)

I'm 1.63, 37 years (but look younger Wink), shoulder length dark hair, glasses and according to Uwila not fat but I beg to differ Grin

Uwila · 25/05/2006 11:49

MrsBigD like to show up early for drinks. So she'll be the one under the table. Grin

I'm white, short brown hair (which can be either curly or straight, depending on how late I get up that morning), and speak with an American Yankee accent. And depending on how much my colleagues piss me off that day at work, I might be under the table with MrsBigD. gulp gulp

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 11:54

It's nice under the table Grin

hi "girls"! MrsBigD, such cute photo and you are NOT fat. because if you are fat...then i'll have to be obese and i really dont like the sound of it!!!! german, french, american... i reckon we could teach some people a thing or two about entente cordiale!!!!!!

so ladies... 1st round on me because.... i've got the job! still can't quite believe it but it is mine for real. i start on 6th June. and now dh has just told me he has an interview for a "proper" job in .... Milton Keynes. aaahhhh. must dash off now cos am still in bond street shopping and boy... it's good to be back! speak later x

suejonez · 25/05/2006 14:04

Congrats Nanou Grin

Any space for an English/Welsh hybrid in the entente cordiale?

And there's no argument about me - definitely fat. Can't be arsed to wrap it up any other way. (though 3lb less fat than 2 weeks ago)

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 14:15

Congrats Nanou! Well your dh will have to commute! pure and simple [grin

SJ... hey don't knock it... it took me the last month to loose 2lb! and that's with working out. Must be the muscle building hence me not loosing weight. Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the yummy almond slabs our mates have brought back from NZ and I'm scoffing on a nightly basis LOL

Nanou1 · 25/05/2006 14:28

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 14:37

Uwila · 25/05/2006 15:31

What the Hell does "Entente Cordiale" mean? You know how we Americans only speak English (okay, American).

Speaking of weight loss (or lack of it) I've been talked into a 10k run in London... in ONE month. So, I'll be running 4.6 mile when I get home tonight. I'll sign on later to let you all know if I'm still alive.

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 15:45

Friendly Together I think :)

Nanou translation please LOL

Uwila have you done any running before??? If not 4.6miles are going to be rather painful ;)

I did the Race for Live years ago... 5km that's enough thank you very much LOL

OP posts:
Uwila · 25/05/2006 15:51

yes, last time I ran 4.6 mile was Saturday. Okay I walked some of it, but only about 1/2 a mile. But, my poor right ankle is not very well. Expect it won't be happy about my running plans.

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 15:57

if your ankle isn't happy wear an ankle support :)

btw how old are your shoes?

gosh I occassionlly do a round in the park with 1min walk 1min jog for 20 mins and that's a killer

But down the gym again tonight I have a secret love affair with the cross trainer ;)

OP posts:
Uwila · 25/05/2006 16:03

brand spankin' new. But the problem is really that I need an arch support and I have been unable to find one that is reasonably priced.

suejonez · 25/05/2006 17:54

Hey Breton girl! I used to speak Welsh (badly) and could understand a bit of Breton when added to my school girl French.

Don't worry Uwila, I will use little words and pronounce them in a funny way specially for you.

Al-LOO-minum foil

MrsBigD · 25/05/2006 18:52
