I'm looking to move to Eastleigh or Southampton and I wanted to try and make some new friends in the area. So hello! Who are you and where abouts are you? Also, do any of you know any private landlords who take DSS and don't go through an agency??

I think that Victoria country park in Netley may be a good idea, if the weather is good we can let the kids run around outside and if it is raining we could just have a coffee and a chat! (or try too anyway!!!) :o :o

pinklilith · 25/03/2006 11:42

I can do that one! Easy done, what time, and is there somewhere we can meet that will be easy to spot?

Hi looks good, Just been on their website to have a look. Is it well sign posted from the motorway?

sairaQ · 25/03/2006 22:26

right so its vicky park on the 1st april, lets meet outside the cafe at 1.00pm that way the kids can be fed before hand and wont pester us for food or complain that they are hungry, does that suit everyone or do ya want to make it a different time, it would be helpful if we all wore a certain colour so as to identify ourselves, how many are going by the way?

sairaQ · 25/03/2006 22:28

are we bringing husband/partners or just us mums and kids

sairaQ · 25/03/2006 22:42

pebblemum u dont need money for 1st april vicky park is free im not taking any cos theres nothing to spend it onGrin

pebblemum · 25/03/2006 23:15

Its just the cost of gettin there. DS1 has karate on a saturday so we would need to get a taxi to the train station if we had any hope of getting to you, the train journey takes about an hour and thats without delays (shock) On top of the taxi fare the train will cost about £15 then I would have taxi fare on the way home too. It would end up costing me about £30 just to get there. Dh will be working so cant get a lift from him otherwise I would join you.

After dh's birthday i will be ok for money so will just join you all on the next meet.

I have been to Victoria Country Park and its great for the kids, plenty of space to run around, as long as it not wet or you may need to take a change of clothes, i can guarentee that at least one child will end up laying face down in the mud Grin (i know it would be one of mine if I was going)

pinklilith · 26/03/2006 16:41

I'm there, the colour thing could be fun, as all I have that fits right now is blue or black. Any ideas?

chjlly · 26/03/2006 16:47

I think the colour thing may be a bit difficult knowing my luck I would go up to someone who was wearing that colour and not be one of us!!

GarfieldsGirl · 26/03/2006 17:03

How about putting a description of ourselves?

Bad news i dont know if i can make saturday now, picking up step son for school hols, dont know how i 4got really lol, shame though i was looking forward to it. I might still try and get there it depends on weather and how he is cos he has autism and gets very funny about not coming home straight away to play with his train set Angry, if things are ok then my husband will come as well and take all the kids to the park so i can chat so i might only stay for about an hour. Why dont we all take a bit of paper with mumsnet written on it and whoever gets there first can put it on the table for all to see, i would be easy to spot anyway ill be the harrassed looking mum with all the kids running around complaining about trainsets and food. Grin
