Vomitus Maximus chez Feame overnight I am afraid. Both girls floored - I am heading back to bed to catch up and DH is now on duty but unless the DDs have a miraculous recovery a 12@00 in Glasgow is looking doubtful. DH is off to the rugby this afternoon so I don't have the option of leaving the sprogs at home - and rugby does come first!

Sorry and enjoy!

Twiga · 25/02/2006 08:18

Sorry to pull out last min, didn't expect to feel so tired and headachey when I woke up this morning - have been getting over a bad bout of mastitus all week and have also had the PILs visiting - guess it's all caught up with me. Just hoping dd will come and curl up with mummy for a while so I can go back to bed (dh working). Have a lovely meet up and hope to meet everyone at the next one - hope it's not too long in coming!

Gomez, hope you get some kip and everyone's feeling better soon.

cathyspam · 25/02/2006 09:03

vitomum · 25/02/2006 09:57

i am so sorry (and dissapointed) but i am not coming now. during the week i double booked myself by absent mindedly arranging to meet friends for lunch today. it's their first luch out with their new baby and they are so excited that i cannot backtrack. i was kind of hoping i could combine the two things as we are not meeting in CCA till 1.30. but i think i am being unrealistic. sorry!!! i was really looking forward to it. i am sure you will however all have a lovely time and i look forward to hearing the reports.

mawbroon · 25/02/2006 10:23

Well it went well.

Despite the (understandable) dropouts, there were still 7 of us: McMudda, Kidstrack2, Mawbroon, Loobie, Mummygow and fob - plus assorted kids. It was nice to put more faces to names.

My "Incredibles" balloon helped identify our table - so everyone (I hope) found us. The only "no show" was Toothache - and as she knows me and ds,and would have known where we would have been sitting. The family do must have got in the way. My ds was devastated, as he had been looking forward to seeing her ds again - but he got over it once the other kis arrived (although he did disgrace himself at the end of the lunch by coming over with the secuirty gaurd as he had hit other kids with his light sabre - most unlike him ).

fob · 25/02/2006 16:39

lovely to meet everybody complete with gorgeous bairns!

must arrange another one so we can also meet the people who had to drop out.

mawbroon · 25/02/2006 16:43

Hi ladies.

I just wanted to say that I enjoyed myself very much this afternoon. Small world, turns out that Fob and I were at college together

Johnny is so tired. He zonked in the car and didn't bat an eyelid when I transferred him to his cot.

Hope to meet all those who couldn't make it at the next one.

Kidstrack2 · 25/02/2006 17:17

Hiya ladies thats me just home! Got the kids some sweets on the way home for the train for being my wee darlings(they always are) and they became absolutely hyper on the train home they looked like the most unruly kids i have ever seen, have since looked at the wrappers and they were full of E colourings, so no wonder they were jumping about and so loud. it was nice meeting you all, and hope to do it again in the spring/summer time.

Twiga · 25/02/2006 17:34

Glad it all went well, prettybird I'm sure the security guard was secretly wanting a shot of the light sabre .

Well after posting dd and I zonked out til just before 12 so must have needed the extra rest. Aimsmum sorry to hear your news, hope your friend is ok. Vitomum hope your lunch went well and your friends enjoyed their first outing with the wee one.

Loobie · 25/02/2006 17:39

Thats us just home too!!!!!!!
It was great to be able to put faces to names now,now whenever i read something any of you have posted i willknow just who it is,will be watching for mummygows misbehaviour in future too!!!
Kids will be now geting a snack a bath and off to bed, they are all shattered especially dd,she nearly fell asleep on the train!!

mcmudda · 25/02/2006 20:04

We're just back now too.
Had a great time and look forward to meeting you all again soon!

Sorry to hear about your friend's mum Aimsmum and sorry for all those feeling so poorly too - hope you're all well soon!

Ds had a great time swimming with dh. Ds refused to go in the kids pool and did a running jump into the main pool. Dh eventually dragged him out after an hour when his lips had turned blue!

Dd was exhausted but managed dinner with my mum and dad before flaking out.

PB - I didn't even notice the light sabre incident if that's any consolation.
I thought everybody's children were angels and behaved brilliantly considering we were all nattering away for hours

See you all soon!

vitomum · 25/02/2006 20:30

sounds like a good meet up. for future meetups (or for anyone lunching in glasgow) can i recommend the CCA. it has gone all child friendly - complete with play area! - but still has a nice calm, "adult" atmosphere. was very nice.

jambuttie · 25/02/2006 21:31

when's the next one?

OP posts:
fob · 25/02/2006 21:32

we should make it sooner rather than later.

and i like the sound of the cca!

Kidstrack2 · 25/02/2006 21:34

sounds good vitomum, what is CCA and where is it?

mcmudda · 25/02/2006 21:40

I like the sound of the CCA too - play area would be a good idea - my daft ds needs penned in and amused so that I can have muchos coffee and cake for the longest time possible

Fob- didn't twig you were a music teacher - so I'll quiz you about ds - he's playing nursery rhymes and TV theme songs by ear with 2 hands on his wee keyboard - he's only 3 - should I leave him to get on with it by himself or is there anything I could do to encourage him?

I'm around during the week - Mondays and Tuesdays have things on, the rest are pretty flexible.

mcmudda · 25/02/2006 21:40

Hey - we're all here!!

jambuttie · 25/02/2006 21:45

is the next one for glasgow too?

OP posts:
fob · 25/02/2006 21:45
