so we have agreed 25th February

now we need to agree on the place and time.

I am assuming we are bringing our cherubs to this one

Is the majority Glasgow?

gomez · 31/01/2006 09:42

25th is good for me. DD1 is 5 and DD2 will be 20 months I will probably bring both and give DH some peace for a change.

Glasgow is fine for me.

Can also fo week before or after if date needs to change.

mummygow · 31/01/2006 09:46

my ds will only be 4 months then so might leave him with sister but will bring my dd who is 3 - if its alright to tag along???????????

prettybird · 31/01/2006 09:57

Mummygow - of course you can!

Can't do the week before, but probably could do the week after.

However, not sure we are ever going to get a day where everyone can make it.

At the momenbt, the following have said that they can make 25th.

Jambuttie
Loobie
Judebear
Aimsmum
Kalex
Prettybird
Gomez
Mummygow
McMudda - maybe
KAZ09 - maybe

Plus assorted kids

Haven't heard yet from Toothache - she is normally up for these sort of events. Ericblack might also be interested - not sure if she is around that weekend.

sammac · 31/01/2006 19:10

Thanks PB, keep missing these Never been to G before so am really looking forward to it!)

And am having my own meet-up with the lovely Aero who is coming to stay with me in March (watch out Glasgow!) We'll be out and about on Saturday the 25th March( could even persuade her into Princes Square- yes Aero there are shops there too)

Aero · 31/01/2006 20:18

lol Sammac

little thread crash - have spent the whole day in Hosp with ds1. Confirmed chest infection!

mcmudda · 31/01/2006 23:17

Am now a definite!

Dh is taking ds (3.4) swimming and then having a boys' day and I'll bring my lovely dd (7.5mths) for a girly meet up

Anyone know of a good "leisure" pool actually in Glasgow with flumes/fun stuff etc.

Judebear · 31/01/2006 23:21

Good stuff, it will be good to meet everyone and their lo's. Any saturday is good for me cos theres i won't be at uni, but I work saturday evenings though

prettybird · 01/02/2006 09:17

McMudda - one of the ones with a flume (Gorbals) is shut at the moment and don't know when it will re-open (they're having to re-tiel the whole thing and suspect that they are waiting for the new financial year to do it, as it surely shouldn't need to take 3-4 months to do otherwise!).

Bellahouston has a "Lazy River" - not sure if it's got a flume. I'll check with dh tongiht (it's ages since I went there, as ds's swimming lessons were at the Gorbals pool). It's got a good children's pool, but does get very crowded at weekends.

cathyspam · 01/02/2006 09:34

Hopefully Toothache will soon get herself back on line following her house move and see this. I'll also mention it to Ericblack.

Judebear · 04/02/2006 11:51

I'm looking forward to it! What is the place like, buzzy wares, that we're going to? I hardly ever go to Princes Sq I admit!

prettybird · 06/02/2006 08:47

It's a sort of pub/American diner. They do nachos, hamburgers, steak sandwiches, that sort of thing.

It's downstairs in Princes Square, between the two staircases, ie on the opposite side to the escalators. There are wee pool/foutains beside the two staircases, and we usually try to get a table/tables between the stairs close to the mosaic, so that you can watch the kids as they run around.

tracyk · 06/02/2006 08:53

I may not make it for this one - but will defo for the next one. Have sold house in Englandshire - completion date 31.3.05 - have offered for a new house in Helensburgh - fingers crossed!
Anyone free for daytime, during the week type meetups?

cathyspam · 06/02/2006 08:55

Oooh Helensburgh! Veeeery Posh!

prettybird · 06/02/2006 08:59

Sorry tracyk - I work full itme, so weekends are really the only option for me. But there are others who either wrok part time/shifts/maternity leave/SAHms, so hopefully there will be someone.

Good luck with your offer!

Another bump for confirmation of the numbers for Saturday 25th, Buzzy Eare, Princes Square, Galsgow, 12 noon, with kids if wanted.

I'll be off from tomorrow until the 19th/20th, so won't be able to do any bumping. Can people keep a lookout for Toothache please and point her in this direction!
