Anyone in the Lancing, Shoreham, Worthing area?
I am a 30 year old working mum.Moved to Sussex in 2000 to go to uni, most people I met moved back home afterwards but I met someone and got married.I have a daughter almost two and some good friends but no one with children and you all know it changes everything. Time, money and energy to go out is hugely decreased and even if you don't want to talk babies, schools, nurseries etc its your life now and childless single friends are on a different planet-or should I say we are!
Anyone near me who is on my wavelength?
please get in touch.

Novembergirl · 09/03/2006 14:02

Hi Chocolatemummy,

...where do you go swimming in Littlehampton? Not sure yet, but there is a possibility we might be able to meet you tomorrow...

littlepickle · 10/03/2006 21:47

Hi all

CheeseandHam here is the answer to reviving playdoh, havent tried it but found it on the tips section a few weeks ago

You can revive drying play-doh/soft stuff by putting a babywipe at the bottom of the tub overnight (just don't ask how we discovered this!) (Tufty)

janeyhills · 11/03/2006 15:32

hi tall mummy,
my big girls are very good at helping out,i have them well trained(lol)
my eldest sometimes babysits so that we can go out.
are you a stay at home mum or do you work?
i'm meeting a couple of mums at the flying fortress on monday at 10 oclock if you fancy joining us?

tallmummy · 11/03/2006 15:47

Hi Janey Lucky you with those girls. My sisters live close so I have a couple of willing babysitters too.
Yeah I'm at home. Briefly went back to teaching part time but oops got pregnant again (I think we've worked out how it's done now LOL!)
Flying fortress is practically my second home. My 2 year old doesn't have preschool on a monday so we might come and find you if I can get myself out from under the pile of dirty washingGrin

janeyhills · 11/03/2006 16:02

i'll be with my 2 boys jordan and andrew, and i should imagine we will be sitting near the toddler area,i'll be with my friend she has a little 2 year old boy and we are meeting another mum(we have not met before) and she has 2 kids.
andrew will probably have his giraffe with him.
any one else want to come? it'll be nice to meet some new people.

Novembergirl · 12/03/2006 11:49

Hi, unfortunately, we cannot make the Adventure Warehouse on Monday because of work (thanks for the invite Janeyhills, do hope we get to meet!).

Chocolatemummy, would love to meet up again one Friday but will have to check if we can make this Friday (if you are still free). DS, being only little, normally sleeps until 2pm though, so the earliest we could join you at the Fun Junction would be around 2.30pm. Not sure if this would be too late?

chocolatemummy · 12/03/2006 13:31

I can go to Funjunction this thursday morning or afternoon or this friday afternoon if anyone can make it?

Custardo, I have tried to arange a meal/drink out for mums only but not got much response so must not a priority in here?

I would love to meet up if all kids are better. Sent ds1 back to school today but have just had to go and pick him up with earache again. Felt like bad mother but he's full of beans again now!
The miraculous healing powers of a big dose of calpol.
Swim or flying fortress good but only because I don't know where the fun junction is.
