I know we've tried to sort something before and we're all very anti-social but the summer hols are on their way, so how about trying to arrange a meet up for August sometime?

We could have a picnic in Oswestry or Telford park, if we want to do it on the cheap? Or maybe go further afield and spend the day at Chester Zoo or somewhere? Or even soft play? There's a nice new(ish) one in Os, or Wrexham have a big one as well.

Come onnnn! Humour me!

pirateparty - oh that's a shame, but yes, do try and come if you can!

pranma, that's great news :) stay positive, 2% chance is nothing! And I know it's totally different circs to you, but I found a definite lump about 3 years ago. Dr sent me to Telford hospital for more checks and it turned out to be just lumpy breast tissue. It was a very scary time though, so I'm thinking of you.

pranma · 19/08/2010 17:43

Please tell us all about it.I couldn't have come anyway as dgs is a bit hot and whiny after his jabs.Next time I hope to join you.

MrsMeow · 19/08/2010 18:00

Hello everyone! DD & I are home and in PJs already - we got soaked walking from the train to the car!

Thankyou for a lovely day, shame it wasn't slightly warmer at the park, but at least the rain held off until now :) It was lovely to meet you all, and I can't believe how gorgeous all of our DC are!

We definitely need to do it all again soon. I will avoid Lakeland next time though (Lissies fault!) in case I'm tempted to spend £13 on a rubber glove dryer, or stock up on lettuce knives Wink

pranma hope you DGS is ok soon, how are you feeling now? We went to the Quarry as planned, and had our picnic, but it was v windy and then a huge raincloud came and sat over us, so we went for a coffee and a wander around town instead!

hello all! we have been home a while. the dog was waiting at the front door for us, but the heavens opened brihtlights and i got on the train. I have circled everything in my lakeland catalogue (sorry mrsmeow Wink) and have very subtley tossed it onto dh's lap Grin

on a serious note, it was so nice to see everyone, we had such a great time and must do it again. i will post about cosford on the site.

pranma, sorry about your dgs, the poor thing Sad how are you?

Hello, it was lovely to see everyone. My favourite shop in Shrewsbury full of stuff I don't need but want is a bookshop called CandleLane Books. Lakeland always seems so expensive, though I did succumb to a small green kitchen bin there a while back.

pirateparty · 19/08/2010 19:04

Oh, I'm so sad I missed it! And I love Lakeland and it's plastic-fantastic-ness!

Sounds like you all had a good time Smile

Didn't end up finishing work until 230 in the end, and when I got home ds was still having his nap so I couldn't have come out anyway.

I really want to come to the next one though!

moaningminniewhingesagain · 19/08/2010 19:12

We're home too, got some chips tea on the way home and treated ourselves to a taxi from the station.

Hit the chocolate shop successfully, thanks lissie and managed to spend £20 in paperchase on, er, nothing really.

I'm still tempted by the mushroom brush myself Grin

DD managed to shoplift a toy from Paperchase so I had to take it back when I found it under the pushchairBlush

We should definately do it again, DD still missing her new best pal!

TartyMcFarty · 19/08/2010 19:41

Grin at the shoplifting! You're a regular Fagin ... or you would be if you weren't so honest!

bullet234 that shop sounds like my idea of heaven! I'll have to hunt it out next time!

pirateparty hopefully you can make the next one, we'll definitely have to sort something out soon.

I'm going to have a look at the kitchen porn Lakeland catalogue now. I was restrained and only bought a lunchbox for DD and some gorgeous bowls that I didn't need but I could have easily bankrupted us in there! Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm absolutely shattered now!

At the final count, I think there were 17 of us, babies & little ones included. I think that constitutes a good meet-up, myself Grin

Oh I am soooo jealous.Dgs went to bed at 11.15 this morning and slept till 1.He ate a bit of scrambled egg then was very quiet till his mum came home. The injection site is very red.
As for me I am just scared even though GP was quite reassuring.Having gone through bc once including chemo I dont know how I'd cope again.
I just want to come to next meet and be able to laugh and have fun with you all.I'd have been no use today.I just blew bubbles for dgs in the garden and tried not to panic.

TheLadyOfTheGreenKirtle · 19/08/2010 21:02

oh pranma,Sad hopefully it will be good news and you will be able to make the next one.
