Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?

Thank you very much @Weston14 & @par05, I really am so glad I found you all here. Feeling much more positive again and I do feel 💪 so that's great!

Just waiting on my pizza cooking. I went all out and put 4 anchovies on it. Four prawns, tuna, Mushrooms, 2 chopped up baby bells and some low fat feta cheese. I'm so looking forward to it. And if there is space have some choc mint 'ice cream' in the freezer! Happy Saturday Evening everyone.

Kittensgalore · 23/01/2021 19:11

Pizza was a big hit - thank you @GarytheRedNosedUnicorn Thanks

That pizza looks amazing. Where is everyone getting this miracle low calorie dough??

Brademajo · 24/01/2021 11:39

ok - schoolgirl error with the icecream - I made up the white chocolate shake and put it in freezer in the morning - took it out to have around 7pm (The Masked Singer!) and it was absolutely frozen solid! Chipped away at it - tasted fine but not as good as the salted caramel which Id left for about 3 hrs. Ive just popped coconut shake in the freezer to have around 2.30 as an experiment :)

Kittensgalore · 24/01/2021 11:48

Oh no! I didn't eat my mint choc in the end, too full from the pizza so it's been in overnight! The salted caramel that I did was only just frozen, still quite soft. Maybe some work better than others and just need a short freeze period!

@LordOfTheOnionRings I got the lo dough bases from Exante. Totally recommend them. Only tried because Gary's wrap looked so amazing but I'm totally sold on them now.

I also love the lo carb rolls from seriously low carb. Com.

I have them with the slim and save burger mix & melted baby bel. Lush. Going to try the loaf next time I order.

LordOfTheOnionRings · 24/01/2021 12:05

Thanks @Kittensgalore I didn't realise they even did that! I think i've been too focused on researching the bar alone. I am doing 2 x bars a day + 1 low calorie meal. Day five today - struggling a bit but I KNOW it's because i'm thirsty. I always had this thing of whenever I was thirsty I would eat and then drink diet Pepsi which has left me both in a permanent state of dehydration for many years and also a real mental confusion because thirst and hunger.

I haven't weighed myself yet. Not even a starting weight. Not sure if that's smart to do or not but I become to deflated when I don't lose.

Weston14 · 24/01/2021 12:15

Morning all. Sneaky little weigh in this morning and I've finally budged another pound! It taught me it's not worth getting disheartened if you slow down, those magical first few days can't last forever.

Still finding the nights hard, last night family had paella and I did sneak a few little slices of chorizo Blush but rectified this with a long bath and a book Smile

Brademajo · 24/01/2021 14:36

@weston14 - excellent news!

Reporting back on the icecream - 3 hours is optimum I think - just taken out of freezer and it is VERY thick but can be stirred - tastes delicious!
@Kittensgalore - the mint choc chip will be rock hard :(

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 25/01/2021 00:10

Love the seriously lo carb rolls. Instead of butter, I used honey and mustard sauce from skinny foods. It’s 5 Cals a tablespoon. Filled with yummy prawns and salad. 200 calories and very filling! Used zero calorie ketchup to mix in withe prawns. Week 3 weigh in tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn - that looks yum! where did you get your zero calorie ketchup?
I bought a load of lo doughs from Exante yesterday - I have one of those gift cards which you can use in Argos, Boots etc at Christmas time - its the 'Buy-it-all' one and you can use it on Exante! yay! I dont normally find gift cards very useful to be honest - tend to buy something I dont need or forget to use it when I actually do buy something! But - being able to use it on Exante meant 'free!' to me so well chuffed!
Well Im on my last days before weigh in on Saturday and Ive upped the steps a little but last week we had so much rain that even the dogs weren't that keen to go out. Today though we have very heavy frost (snow didnt stick) and its very icy but Im looking forward to a nice long walk this morning.
Its funny, I have started feeling hungry now - has my metabolism finally kicked in? I also feel like my clothes are a little looser. No.1 son said I was looking slim (but he's a darling and would say that to make me happy :) anyway!)
@Weston14 I have been tempted a couple of times just to have a pick at what the rest of the family have eaten but distraction easily takes my mind off it - I like the sound of a bath - but I usually end up doing the washing up or going and washing my hands - as far as I see it - i can't eat with wet hands!
Anyone got any other distraction ideas?

Weston14 · 25/01/2021 10:25

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn morning how was your weigh in? Another 3/4 of a lb down here. After a few slow days think I've had a bit of a whoosh Grin Really motivates you to carry on.

Hope everyone else is doing well! @Brademajo I told you you'd start to feel the weight off eventually :)

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 25/01/2021 13:14

Half a pound down..... it was week three though and that can often be slow. Not letting it stop me though. The ketchup was from the skinny food co, I got mine from Amazon, just search skinny food. They sell all types of zero sauces and syrups. You can buy direct from the skinny food website, but it always takes a long time for delivery, and I’m impatient!

Kittensgalore · 25/01/2021 13:51

@LordOfTheOnionRings the water enhancers from Exante are good to add to water, make it way easier to drink. I love the lime one but they do an orange and a cranberry I think. I really struggled to drink the recommended amount of water until I found them. There are also some fizzy drinks you can have without going out of ketosis. The diet Dr Pepper is one. Possible Pepsi Max & definitely Tesco's Diet cream soda. Although appreciate maybe you are trying to stop altogether. I keep reading that a habit is broken or formed in 21 days and I'm hanging onto that! I also haven't weighted, have an idea what my starting weight might be, i think I'm the heaviest I've ever been, several stone more than during pregnancies which is just awful. I'm determined not to weigh for a good while. I know this works and I've a few stone to lose so I'm in it for the long haul.

@Brademajo I've been reading more and listening to podcasts ( love true crime podcasts) as a means of distraction. I've moved house recently so have loads of DIY to do as well, have been painting old bits of furniture which has been really therapeutic and definitely occupies time where I would otherwise have been eating/drinking the wrong things!

@Weston14 could be that you have come out ketosis if you are feeling hungry, very easy to come out of it but should also be easy to get back into!

Kittensgalore · 25/01/2021 14:22

Also meant to report back on ice cream attempt- had left mint choc shake overnight and it was rock solid but left it to thaw for a couple of hours and omg it was amazing. As good as the salted caramel. Really just tasted like mint chocolate ice cream.

Weston14 · 25/01/2021 15:02

@Kittensgalore yes I think it may very well have been, had homemade soup last week with tomato in which I didn't realise you're not allowed so in all likelihood I've been kicked out. Oh well it's not the end of the world, I'm not debilitatingly hungry.

Brademajo · 25/01/2021 15:06

@Kittensgalore Thanks for the icecream update! I didnt wait to thaw mine and chipped away! I currently have salted caramel in the freezer - ready at 4pm!

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn Thanks for the skinny food tip - will peruse amazon now :) - what have you got for tea?

Went for a 2hr walk - but had left my fitbit at home on charge - doh!
Its going to rain with me for next 3 days so will go for another walk (then come home for icecream) - then paint my internal doors - should keep me out of trouble (and temptation) for a while.

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 25/01/2021 17:30

I have pizza for tea, with beef trimmings, onion, mushrooms, sliced babybel light and cheese strings! I hold off eating until about 2pm and had a porridge with salted caramel syrup, again from the skinny food company via Amazon! Have had 1.5 litres of water already.
Bradmajo, 2 hour walk, that’s epic! I’m itching to start swimming again. Well done on your pound loss Weston!

par05 · 25/01/2021 18:45

Hi you guys are doing fab well done all. Have seen skinny food sauce and things selling in home bargains, they got quite a range of them. Sorry been a bit quiet haven't really stuck too it last few days been a bit stressy but onwards and upwards.

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 25/01/2021 19:16

I wish I had home bargains near me! I can recommend the sauces. I just made pizza and drizzled it with skinny smoky barbecue sauce before cooking. It livens it up. I love the syrups in the porridge pots too.

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 25/01/2021 19:17

Par05, welcome back!

LordOfTheOnionRings · 25/01/2021 21:01

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn that looks delicious

Brademajo · 26/01/2021 09:03

@par05 Yay! Nice to have you back!

I didn't see Par05's post in time but I ordered off the skinny food website - prices were cheaper that amazon (I dont need NDD as still on Exante full on until at least Saturday) I hope they arent too slow on delivery but will see. I ordered Tomato Ketchup, Mayo, chip shop curry, Fake Pizza and got free Sriracha sauce and delivery - came to £15.96 which I thought was pretty good.
My Lo-doughs are on their way too.
Im planning to weigh on Saturday then have a lo dough pizza with mushrooms, onions, tuna. I think I will need to buy some babybel lights (havent bought them before - are they widely available? Co-op?

Just checking @GarytheRedNosedUnicorn - do you have the whole pizza or is that for 2?

GaryUnicorn · 26/01/2021 12:39

I have the whole pizza. The base is 39 cal, I thinly spread a tbsps of tomato purée, onions, mushroom, beef (120 cal) and a finely sliced babybel light, and a torn up cheese string. And a drizzle of skinny food barbecue sauce.

Brademajo · 26/01/2021 14:37

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn
Fantastic - just picked up babybel light in Lidl :)

Weston14 · 26/01/2021 16:25
