Hello, I'm not sure if there's already an Exante thread, but I thought I'd create one to share how I'm finding it (4 days in) and keep people updated on this 12 week journey.

I'll try and log weight loss weekly, and products I like, plus anything that I find helps keep me on track Smile . Hopefully it'll encourage and give people some insight into what 12 weeks of 600kcal a day feels and looks like.

I currently need too loose 4 stones Shock - hoping by the end of the 12 weeks I can loose at least 3...

How’s it going @MustardScreams ? I’m on day 3 now and think I’m in Ketosis but I have done VLCD’s before some years ago. Since had 3 DC’s 10,7 and almost 4. Time to face facts and I have a LOT of weight to shift. Aiming for 3st to start with but my end goal is 10st total loss.

I only stick to shakes personally as from past experience I don’t like any of the soups or hot meals etc. I do like bars but it just reminds me too much of eating and is too tempting. I have the water enhancers which do help massively to get the fluid in but I don’t have them in every bottle of water. I make my shake water as cold as possible because they definitely taste better to me that way. If not possible I just drink the shake down in a few gulps 😆I am doing 3 shakes and 200kal of protein/green veg. I prep that in a tub the night before so I know I can only have what’s in that tub!

Good luck to anyone starting or doing exante. It’s not easy, your mindset has to be in the right place. It’s the only thing that has ever worked for me. I have PCOS and it allowed me to lose 4 stones initially to be able to conceive. And here I am 10 years later. Health declining and time to face facts! The main thing I would say also here is, research re-feeding to the max! It’s SO important for maintaining. I gained and lost through all three pregnancies but I am a total sugar addict and this has to be my biggest change to make. Zero sugar! Good luck all Smile

@MyHeartIsInCornwall hiya! I'm starting this (again) today...

Hi everyone.

I'm one month in exante and have lost 14lbs.

Feeling really rough today as period has started so just laying in bed.

MyHeartIsInCornwall · 16/09/2019 10:04

@feellikezerobucks Hi! I’m doing ok actually. I think the hindsight of having done this before has prepared me well. I know how hard it is and most of the pitfalls. Avoided weighing until today and I’ve lost 10lbs. Happy with that. Have not done any exercise etc but I’m feeling more energetic this week, so I’ll up the calorie burning a tiny bit. I find the only way o get the water in is to attach a bottle to my hip 😆 or I forget.

Good luck to you! Focus is the word of the day! 😊

feellikezerobucks · 16/09/2019 10:13

@MyHeartIsInCornwall and @TotoroAndMei sounds like you're both doing great!

I did it last year and the longest I went without cheating was 14 days, but everytime I've tried since I get to the end of day 1 and panic eat 🤦🏽‍♀️ determined to stick it this time 👍🏻
Just sitting with my mint chic shake and I've set a timer so I drink a pint of water every hour🤞🏻
I only have the shakes and bars and planning on having these at 10am, 2pm and 6pm with exercising starting in a few weeks.

Any other tips??????
X

MyHeartIsInCornwall · 16/09/2019 10:30

@feellikezerobucks If you don’t already, keep a 2 litre bottle of water in the fridge. The shakes go down so much easier when the water is really cold. Also I take a psyllium husk capsule with each shake as I find I don’t struggle with the 🚽 then 😆 If I think of anything else, I’ll add it on.

@TotoroAndMei That’s brilliant. Well done! It’s not easy, especially when the hormones are raging. Enjoy resting a bit. It’ll do your body good. 😊

I haven’t received my order yet but I’m glad I read this thread first as I avoided most of the meals and got mostly shakes and bars. I’m type 1 diabetic so can’t go very lo cal but I’ve been on a 1500 calorie restricted diet since Sept 1 and have lost a kilo a week so far. I’d like to increase the loss so aim to use the exante meals for two days a week, so like 5:2, still sticking to 1500 the rest of the week. Hopefully that will mean an extra .5 kilo loss a week.
Im going home for Xmas and last time I went I was 25kg lighter than now! But I need to lose about 60-70kg overall.

Hello - I've lost 3 stone since April with calorie controlled diet ( using MyFitnessPal) - But for the last 5 weeks I've been yo-yo 3lbs up and down. So I have decided to give Exante a go. It's my brother's 50th birthday in 6 weeks time. So I'd like to see what I can achieve with that.

What kind of weight loss could I see in 6 weeks? I'm currently half way to my goal weight of 10 stone. I'd like to be there by March - which is 3 stone away.

chellymac27 · 05/05/2020 07:39

Hi I'm just starting Exante today. I've tried the coffee this morning and it's actually really nice. I'm doing the 3 shakes a day. Can anyone advise how they find doing the total food replacement. I haven't taken my shake yetSmile

chellymac27 · 05/05/2020 10:16

Just took the banana smoothie shake and it was actually really nice. Can't stop thinking about crisps but gong to stick it out..... Hopefully after the first few days it'll pass and I'll be more focused.

iloveredwine · 11/05/2020 09:11

I did this last year and lost 3 stone. Now put most of it back on so need to start again☹

MyHeartIsInCornwall · 24/05/2020 11:15

I’m starting tomorrow. I’ve but 6lb on since the beginning of May! I suspect some of that is hormones but in addition to this I have a substantial amount to lose and can’t keep going on as I am. My husband has recently been diagnosed as diabetic, and it’s given me a shock. I am a total sugar addict so I’ve found in the past that taking all forms of food away, is best for me no generally just stick to the shakes but I do use bars too. The jammy one and banana bread are my favourites! Good luck to all!

AwkwardPaws27 · 29/05/2020 16:43

I've just ordered shakes + some meals + bars - I need to lose about 2.5 stone so hoping to lose around 4lb a week over the next 2 months.

LassyGal · 25/10/2020 01:53

Hi
I have only just started Exante 2 days ago. I plan to do it for 8 weeks and this is my first post on mums net and my first time on Exante.
I find it really encouraging to see everyones weight loss.

My question is, is there anybody who has type 2 diabetes and on Exante?
I have only bought the 'low sugar' shakes and found the chocolate to be not very nice at all. The ones that are not 'low sugar' seem to be very high in sugar.

Wondering if I should venture out and also order the ones that are not marked as 'low sugar'. I am sure they will be much nicer, but I am worried about my blood sugars going up, if I do!! Not sure if I am brave enough to try them.
