Hello, I'm not sure if there's already an Exante thread, but I thought I'd create one to share how I'm finding it (4 days in) and keep people updated on this 12 week journey.

I'll try and log weight loss weekly, and products I like, plus anything that I find helps keep me on track Smile . Hopefully it'll encourage and give people some insight into what 12 weeks of 600kcal a day feels and looks like.

I currently need too loose 4 stones Shock - hoping by the end of the 12 weeks I can loose at least 3...

Ah, I hadn't realised! I'm going away on holiday in my 5th week, so I might postpone it for a week and then add another 300kcal of normal food in a day then! Vegan protein sausages nom!

Does anyone have any tips for reducing the sweetness of the shakes? I normally avoid sweeteners and I think that's all I can taste!

unhealthy2healthy · 07/05/2019 11:35

I really hate the sweetness too, I add more like 400ml/450ml of water to each shake, which helps!! But mostly I've just gotten used to it.

thanks unhealthy2healthy I will give that a go - I added extra to the honeycomb one last night to try and make it more drinkable Envy but didn't add that much.

Teacakeandalatte · 07/05/2019 22:14

Making the shake very cold also helps with the sweetness add some ice and get it really chilled.

DdJames · 08/05/2019 18:43

Yes lots of ice! I've had the caramel latte one hot (with an extra cup of strong black coffee added) today which was ok.

WellVersedInEtiquette · 09/05/2019 13:03

How's everyone doing?
Tried the shepherds pie last night. It was ok at first but the more I had the more I struggled getting it down.
I've got spaghetti bolognese for tea so we'll see how that goes!

unhealthy2healthy · 09/05/2019 14:24

It's going surprisingly well! But I've been incredibly unadventurous (just drinking shakes)... I'll give the shepherds pie and some of the other meals a go soon Smile, let me know how the spag bol is Grin.

How's the weight loss? I've been craving some normal food, but I have a few weeks until a holiday and would love to have lost 2.7 stone by then!!

So I've done 4 days- I've not managed to do TS as I'm struggling with the shakes and bars. I have had 2 shakes and a 200kcal high protein/ low carb meal a day. I managed to force down half of the chocolate bar but the coconut bar is not edible.
I feel surprisingly great and definitely far less bloated,
I haven't weighed yet, which is a miracle as I am a firm daily weighed- will aim to weigh on Sunday or Monday.

SailorGirl3 · 10/05/2019 07:21

Really struggling to get started and stay on track. Still lost 3lbs though. I don't have much willpower, and find it even harder when my DH is on his days off with me. I think I'm going to try 2 shakes and a low calorie meal at night instead. Doesn't help when my 1yo is trying to make the whole house constantly feel sleep deprived!

Wooosh · 10/05/2019 07:34

Hi
Can I join you to please? This is day 3 on exante for me. I'm doing man plan so I get some real food each day!
We are ttc DC2 so that's my motivation to lose weight.
So far I like all the products I've tried. Highly recommended gooey chocolate pudding if you like cake!

Teacakeandalatte · 10/05/2019 08:07

I haven't done too well this weeks in terms of being strict and have eaten quite a lot of extras, but at least I have eaten less and I do feel a bit better actually, I have a bit more energy.

Is it sweet? If so you could maybe buy some raw cacao powder - it seems to be keto friendly. Then you could turn the unflavoured shake into a nice chocolate shake.. I haven't actually tried it, but it seems like it should work? Smile

I'm lagging a bit today, it's been 2 weeks and 5 days now and I've stuck 100% to TS - but this morning I was feeling a little fed up and ready to pack it in!! So I stepped on the scales and I've lost 1 stone 10lbs so far, which has perked me up Grin

@unhealthy2healthy that's amazing. Well done.

I have to say it's got easier as I've gone on but I'm only two weeks in tomorrow. I've got a colleagues leaving meal tonight which I didn't want to go to but I can't get out of. I've pre ordered my meal and I'll be driving so I'm not having a drink. Then weigh in and measurements tomorrow morning. I've only signed up to do until next Thursday but I am tempted to keep on going for another few weeks. I've completely gone off the noodles meal. Couldn't finish it last night. I think I know what I like now so I'll just order another pack of what I know is nice!

Week two weigh in and only a 3lb weight loss which I'm a little disappointed with. I've lost and inch from all my measurements and two from my chest. Feeling a bit flat to be honest.

@MrsMump glad to hear you're feeling better! I had a period of 2-3days where the shakes made me feel really ill, but I'm through it now and I'm hoping it was a one of too.

@WellVersedInEtiquette I think that's a great loss and the inches are fab!! Smile I haven't kept track of measurements, in hindsight I probably should of Hmm

WellVersedInEtiquette · 12/05/2019 17:56

@MrsMump thank you. I did lose ten pounds last week so it's just short of a stone in two weeks which is good. I'm just being grumpy!
I haven't read the literature that comes with it. I left that to my husband 😂🙈

WellVersedInEtiquette · 12/05/2019 17:57

@unhealthy2healthy I wouldn't have remembered but my husband suggested it as he's done the same!

Week 3 weigh in and I've lost 7lbs!!

So week 1: 16lbs, week 2: 3lbs and week 3: 7lbs, which gives me a grand total of 1stone 12lbs Shock

Can I join in please? I started loosing weight this time last year. I started doing the 5:2 and have lost 4 stone. However, frustratingly, I have found the last stone and a bit really difficult to shift. 5:2 isn’t working for losing anymore - only maintaining. So I started last Exante week. I’d lost 5 lbs when I weighed in yesterday and am thrilled. Had my breakfast porridge this morning which was really nice and will have a vanilla shake for lunch. Spag Bol for tea tonight. Not had that one before so I hope it’s nice!
