Hello, I'm not sure if there's already an Exante thread, but I thought I'd create one to share how I'm finding it (4 days in) and keep people updated on this 12 week journey.

I'll try and log weight loss weekly, and products I like, plus anything that I find helps keep me on track Smile . Hopefully it'll encourage and give people some insight into what 12 weeks of 600kcal a day feels and looks like.

I currently need too loose 4 stones Shock - hoping by the end of the 12 weeks I can loose at least 3...

I love the Exante pancakes and apple crumble and custard 😍 besides those I stick to shakes and a low calorie meal for tea Smile

IWantToBeNynaeve · 04/05/2019 09:52

I did exante last summer and lost around 3 stone, I then went on to lose another stone since then and have kept it all off. The first week on a vlcd is the hardest, once you are in ketosis it all gets much easier. Best of luck!

unhealthy2healthy · 04/05/2019 10:06

That's amazing Smile How long did it take you to loose the 3 stone?

OP posts:
SailorGirl3 · 04/05/2019 10:17

I've started this morning. Currently need to loose 4 stone, but taking it one stone at a time. Going to a wedding at the end of june so would love to be 2 stone lighter by then.
Everyone seems to be getting great results so hoping it works for me also!

unhealthy2healthy · 04/05/2019 10:35

Let us know how your first week goes Smile

For a first timer what would you recommend I do? I see they have a 2 week or 4 week bundle? Or is it better to pick my own?

Exante do different plans deoendjf how quickly you want to lose weight and your BMI. They do a total solution plan where you just have X3 of there products a day. They have all the different plans information on the website.
I drinks 2 litres of water and day ahbe have black tea.

Lardass88 - I wouldn't personally do a bundle, there's a lot of food in there which isn't great, so if you choose your own stuff you can try single packs at a time :-) They normally do a 63 for £45 deal on the shakes (which covers 3 weeks, eating 3 products a day) and then maybe get another 21 products from the bars, puddings and meal section and experiment with what you like?

The shakes are mostly ok, and defiantly palatable (esp. Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint, Cookies and Cream and Coconut.. but go for a range) Smile

And, MrsMump, you can do all shakes and soups (which is mostly what I'm doing, but pancakes are yummy) and then 3 products a day, 2-3litres of water and then I have peppermint tea and black coffee..

Also, I got my shaker from Amazon (750ml) because I prefer a lot more water in my shakes... it is very big though, so somewhere around 600ml is probably optimal Grin

I can see the 50 for £45 but no others do you have a link if possible?

This should work Smile

But with that you can only choose shakes - ps vegan ones are a little grim! Chocolate is veryyy good, it's an easy one to drink Smile and strawberry is kind of like angel delight Grin

I've slipped today and eaten some pizza. Leftover from the kids lunch and I wasn't even thinking I just did it Blushonly a few bites but I feel daft.
Tomorrow is weigh for me after my first week.
I've been sorting through stuff for our summer holiday today and had to dig out bags of smaller clothes. I'm feeling pretty good about it all.
In answer to the questions above...
I have a shake in the morning, a bar for lunch and a meal replacement for tea.
I like the carbonara meal and the noodles. The cookies are really nice. Not keen on the curry but my husband likes it. I've got the black bean pot for tea tonight. I've found all the shakes nice enough. Don't like the chocolate bar though.

WellVersedInEtiquette · 05/05/2019 20:16

Drumroll

First week done
10lbs down.
Waist, chest and bum an inch off each and two inches off my hips!!!

Teacakeandalatte · 05/05/2019 20:32

Hi all I may join you tomorrow. I have done Exante before but I regained my weight. I think its a great diet in many ways but it is easy to go wrong once you go back to eating conventional food. This time I am planning to eat a meal at weekends from the start and add a meal every day after a month or so. I think by having some food throughout the diet I may find it easier when I try to maintain.

unhealthy2healthy · 05/05/2019 21:05

WellVersedInEtiquette - Amazing!!!! and amazing losses on the hips Shock

Teacakeandalatte - I had the same issue with Cambridge diet, definitely a good idea to add meals in slowly Smile. Will your weekend meals be keto?

OP posts:
Teacakeandalatte · 05/05/2019 21:39

Yes I will have something keto and low calories.

lardass88 · 05/05/2019 22:57

I've ordered my first lot, should be here by weds

WellVersedInEtiquette · 06/05/2019 09:52

For me the first three or four days was the hardest. I just plodded from meal to meal and forced the water downs by day five i was just doing it without too much thought. Just push through the first part and it gets loads easier. Plus after your first weigh in the loss spurs you on as well.
Tried the black bean meal Saturday night Confused ended up swapping with dh for his noodles. It was awful 😂

DdJames · 06/05/2019 15:20

Wow some great loses on here, well done.

I've started today - 1 shake down! My first goal is to lose 2 stone for a wedding at the end of June.

Following the total solution for now, then may go on to the man plan. I got the 50 for £45 bundle to work out what I like. I have got mostly shakes, I've done exante before and I didn't like the meals. Bit worried the chocolate bars don't seem to go down well as I have a few of those but I'll give them ago.

Does the food week come after week 12?

I'm all or nothing too, I find it tricky to get back on it even if I have a small cheats... so I'm attempting no cheats for at least 12 weeks, maybe even 16 if I can do it. We shall see..

I've just finished my second week!! I lost 3lbs this week, which means my total loss so far is 19lbs!

OP posts:
Teacakeandalatte · 06/05/2019 19:00

On exante the food week is every 4th week, this is because you arent monitored for health like on many vlcds also they say it helps keep your metabolism going. If you dont want to add any solid food you can make your shakes up with milk. Its also a good time to have the exante pizza and put some toppings on it.

Teacakeandalatte · 06/05/2019 19:05

I am an all or nothing person and I found I went back to all after I came off plan so I am trying to be a bit less strict this time while still being strict enough to get good results.
