Hello, I'm not sure if there's already an Exante thread, but I thought I'd create one to share how I'm finding it (4 days in) and keep people updated on this 12 week journey.

I'll try and log weight loss weekly, and products I like, plus anything that I find helps keep me on track Smile . Hopefully it'll encourage and give people some insight into what 12 weeks of 600kcal a day feels and looks like.

I currently need too loose 4 stones Shock - hoping by the end of the 12 weeks I can loose at least 3...

Happy birthday & anniversary WellVersedInEtiquette

winterisstillcoming · 08/06/2019 11:22

@MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting I think it's that Friday evening end of the week let your hair down feeling. I had that yesterday so made myself a tea and had a hot bath.

@WellVersedInEtiquette happy birthday and anniversary, have a lovely weekend xx

I've got a challenge this evening. I'm at a stodgy pub tonight. I'm not keen on the food so I'm loath to eat food that I don't even like. I'm just going to have the soup I think.

Hope all are having a good weekend.

feellikezerobucks · 08/06/2019 14:40

@WellVersedInEtiquette happy birthday and anniversary...have fun!

@winterisstillcoming and @MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting I also fell into the snacks last night 🤦🏽‍♀️ think it's this rubbish weather 🤗

WellVersedInEtiquette · 10/06/2019 09:00

I'm back on it for the next 19 days after a weekend off for my birthday. I'm looking forward to feeling better, I'm really sluggish after overindulging!

feellikezerobucks · 10/06/2019 10:37

@WellVersedInEtiquette I know the feeling!! I only have 15 days to stick to!!! We got this!!!

Good luck and let me know how you're getting on x

@winterisstillcoming and @MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting are you up for a 2 week boot camp (although my 15 days excludes this Friday and Sunday!)

Xx

winterisstillcoming · 10/06/2019 18:41

Hey all!

I've had my weigh in and I'm 5lb down so 13lb to go. I've hit through a stone barrier too. I'm sure it was first week bloat but I'll take it. I'm hoping for 3lb this week and hitting a BMI OF 25.

I'm in for boot camp - I'm going to do an exercise video or 2 this week with some weights.

I have dinner out on Saturday but I can dodge all other things so I've got a good shot at making some progress.

Hope you all are hanging in there. Thank you for the support and inspiration as always.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 10/06/2019 19:34

Well done winterisstillcoming

feellikezerobucks bootcamp as in exercise? I'm not sure if I'm honest 😳

I struggled yesterday, ate too much, I mean not much compared to a regular persons daily intake about 1200-1300 calories but more than I should have had. Been back on track today though.

Hope everyone's doing well

winterisstillcoming · 10/06/2019 19:41

I'm not sure if exercise was implied - it was just my own way of ramping things up a bit and stop my body eating muscle instead of fat. I'm doing this for the next 4 weeks at least so breaking it up a bit might help me.

CraftyGin · 10/06/2019 19:51

I have been using exante for a couple of months now. Basically, I have a shake for lunch, but eat family meals for supper (minus easy to avoid carbs).

I am losing 1kg per week.

I have been happy with most of the shakes. I have one at 1pm, and am absolutely fine to wait for supper at 7pm.

What is really good for me, is that I have to have packed lunches at work, and having 50 exante sachets in my locker means that I never have to think about it. With this practicality, I don’t think I will fall off the wagon when I have met my target weight.

feellikezerobucks · 11/06/2019 09:08

@winterisstillcoming and @MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting by boot camp I just meant 100% on plan...although I have 14 days and only 10 days worth of food and I was hoping to to order again before I go away 🤪

Good weight loss @winterisstillcoming and I think your method @CraftyGin sounds sensible and attainable.

I'm struggling again. Fell off yesterday (as in eat all I can see and then some). Not sure if I know I have 2 meals out planned (fri and sun) so I can't focus until after then but then I think how much better I'll feel if I start today.....I'm rubbish at this!🤦🏽‍♀️

winterisstillcoming · 15/06/2019 14:35

Hi all, just checking in, I've been pretty much up to plan but I'm 'out out' tonight, so might be doing some damage. I'm just going to enjoy myself, and try to make the best meal/drink choices that I can without ruining the fun. I haven't exercised as planned so I'm going to try harder this week.

Hope all are doing well x

Jellyshoeshurtmyfeet · 15/06/2019 17:01

Hi, after reading this thread I'm going to give it a go. Just wondered how the referral code works and if anyone has one to share if you get a discount too?

winterisstillcoming · 16/06/2019 09:07

Welcome! I'll see if I can find a referral code but I'd suggest just getting one or 2 of each variety to begin with, as I made the mistake of buying 7s of certain meals and bars and not liking them.

I'd say that our experiences on here are pretty varied and typical, so hopefully it will suit you. In preparation I'd say just start cutting down calories and get some water on board. Good luck!

Jellyshoeshurtmyfeet · 16/06/2019 13:04

Thank you! I just really need to do something. I've been dieting since January but am a couple of pounds heavier than I was when I started!

altiara · 16/06/2019 17:05

Hi everyone, great to read about all this weight loss! I’m starting TS tomorrow after a friend recommended it. I bought enough for 3 weeks, but planned it as 1 shake, 1 bar and 1 savoury meal a day. So bit scared of the comments about the meals! Hope I can get the hang of it as I can’t wait to lose some weight at long last. I swear I’m heavier than when I was pregnant Blush

feellikezerobucks · 17/06/2019 13:21

Hey all!!!

I'm back on it until my hols (8 days).

I'm not going to weigh before or after but hopefully will lose some bloat.

Good luck all and keep posting x

WellVersedInEtiquette · 17/06/2019 18:32

I don't know how to share the referral link but this code may work. You should get a discount and I get some money off.
I'm back on day one and I'm starving but I know I haven't drunk enough water yet. Been so busy at work.

WellVersedInEtiquette · 17/06/2019 18:32

Might help if I post it!

SquatBetty · 19/06/2019 11:42

Just received my Exante two week box in the post and have opened it and had a vanilla shake (not too unpleasant). There is a random circular spring in a bag with the shaker? Does anyone know what it's for?

I'm around 14 stone and only 5'3" so got a few stone to lose....

Jellyshoeshurtmyfeet · 19/06/2019 12:03

@wellversedinetiquette thank you but I had already ordered when I saw your code.
I think the springy thing is so when you shake the container it helps it not go lumpy. I had a banana shake this morning and it was lovely! I did add a couple of ice cubes and blitz it in the processor so it was all frothy though.

SquatBetty · 19/06/2019 12:25

Oh thanks Jelly, that makes sense

Bella444 · 23/06/2019 19:12

Hi all
I’m starting tomorrow and, luckily for me, do is my husband. He’s doing the man plan and me the TS. I do HITT training 3-4 times a week, so on those days will have an extra 200 kcal meal with him. We’ve both got 2-3 stone to lose. Hoping I can manage it! So good to hear everyone else’s advice. Any top tips for a newbie?!

Jellyshoeshurtmyfeet · 23/06/2019 20:09

@Bella444 hi, I've been on it since Wednesday and I would say don't do too much in the first few days as I've found myself feeling a bit light headed. That's gone today though so it does get better. I think also I probably wasnt drinking enough water initially either!

Andonandonan · 30/06/2019 22:14

Hi everyone I’m another newbie.

Have 1.5 stone to lose initially, then perhaps another .5 depending on how I feel.

Started on Wednesday, ordered the 2 week trial pack. I was a little disappointed as the one food I hate is banana and ended up with 8 banana shakes! But finding the rest mainly better than I expected.

I’m not exactly doing it properly as planning to do 3 packs a day mostly but sometimes eat a meal instead. And eg last night we had friends over so I just ate normally, drank wine etc. I get that I won’t get in to ketosis this way so weight loss might not be so fast but it’s still lower calorie and I need that flexibility to hopefully make it work long term (my big concern is about maintenance tbh as I am good at losing weight but always regain!). I have also had a Diet Coke each day (didn’t realise it wasn’t ok but tbh if I’m losing weight I’ll go with it and stop if the weight loss stops).

I am loving not having to make choices about food, that is a massive plus for me. And have felt so much fuller than I was expecting too. Some of the tastes are weird and most are incredibly sweet but 5 days in I seem to be getting used to them as quite enjoyed the porridge oats tonight whereas on day 2 I couldn’t finish the portion.

Can’t resist weighing every day and am about 5lbs down so far which I’m really happy with.

MustardScreams · 14/07/2019 09:01

Just joining in. Got my 2 week box to kick start my weight loss yesterday.

But oh my word, some of the products I’ve had are truly disgusting! The carbonara which I was quite looking forward to was hideous, I managed about 3 mouthfuls and had to throw it away. And I eat anything! Never tasted anything like it 🤢

The caramel frappe is also not great, but I think I’ll manage to finish it.

The strawberry jam bar is delicious though, and I bought 8 of them so that’s something. Hopefully my tastebuds get used to the flavours ASAP.
