Hello, I'm not sure if there's already an Exante thread, but I thought I'd create one to share how I'm finding it (4 days in) and keep people updated on this 12 week journey.

I'll try and log weight loss weekly, and products I like, plus anything that I find helps keep me on track Smile . Hopefully it'll encourage and give people some insight into what 12 weeks of 600kcal a day feels and looks like.

I currently need too loose 4 stones Shock - hoping by the end of the 12 weeks I can loose at least 3...

Great loss well done @unhealthy2healthy

I have just done my week 1 weigh in and have lost 11.5lb

Good luck to everybody for this week

Wooosh · 13/05/2019 19:37

Wow some brilliant losses everyone! I'm weighing on Wed. I don't feel like I've lost a huge amount yet....

I ordered some skinny pasta. I thought I might try mixing it with the spag bol or maybe even a soup.
Does anyone else eat that and have meal suggestions?

WellVersedInEtiquette · 13/05/2019 22:14

@unhealthy2healthy @DdJames fab weight losses there. Well done.

winterisstillcoming · 14/05/2019 20:28

Im in if you don't mind! You've all inspired me with your amazing losses.

I've ordered the porridge, spaghetti Bolognese and the sweet and sour noodles and see how I go. I'm starting Thursday but I've already cut down the calories this week in the lead up to it while I've been waiting for delivery.

I'm planning on doing TS for a few days then 2 exante sachets plus a lean dinner at the weekend to keep the bowels and social life going.

Giving up the coffee will be the hardest thing for me but I'm determined this time.

I'm not looking forward to the hunger and foul moods so will try and lie low for the next few days.

Any tips on surviving the first few days will be welcome but you all are doing brilliantly!

DdJames · 15/05/2019 16:58

Drink lots of water @winterisstillcoming I also found keeping busy but resting when I needed to really helped.

You can have coffee but no milk or sugar!

winterisstillcoming · 15/05/2019 20:17

Thanks @DdJames.

I plan to keep busy and distracted with admin and some chores tomorrow.

Yes will keep up with the water. Thank you.

Is chamomile tea ok?

unhealthy2healthy · 16/05/2019 15:49

I think Chamomile should be ok!! I've been drinking most teas (but no fruit teas).. How's everyone getting on?

'These' are even Blush

feellikezerobucks · 16/05/2019 16:58

I read this last night and was inspired too...
I did for a few weeks last year and lost well which made me feel so much better about myself.
My holidays in 7 weeks (today!) and need to lose some tonnage 🤦🏽‍♀️

WellVersedInEtiquette · 17/05/2019 12:28

What other diet drinks don't have citric acid in them? It's in pretty much everything 😱

winterisstillcoming · 17/05/2019 20:28

Ok so it's end of the second day and the irritability and fatigue is setting in. I'm probably not drinking enough, but have been busy with after school activities.
I'll be honest, I've cheated a bit - Pepsi Max, and a corner of naan bread. The hardest part was cooking for the family, serving it up, clearing it up, shopping for them and planning their meals. I've got dr. Pepper zero on the list for tomorrow.

Another downside has been that the meals have not agreed with me. I've been bloated and cramps immediately following eating them so I'll see how it goes. The meals themselves haven't been too bad. I guess I'm that hungry anything tastes good.

I'm breaking off tomorrow for a meal out but have ordered a low cal meal. I should be able to keep up with it all next week, fingers crossed.

Hope everyone is doing ok xx

DdJames · 18/05/2019 09:20

Hope the cramps and bloating subside @winterisstillcoming

I have to say the few meals I've tried have not been the best flavour wise so I stick to the shakes.

I didn't drink anywhere near enough water yesterday so have a cracking headache today- will have to make sure I do better today. Currently watching my 600lb life for some motivation!

feellikezerobucks · 20/05/2019 08:00

Starting today at 12st 9.4lb.
I go on holiday in 37 days and would love to be 11st 6lb by then, do you think that's achievable?
Also, does anyone do any exercise whilst on TS? Was thinking of combining with the 30 day shread......

winterisstillcoming · 20/05/2019 08:29

Thanks @ddjames.

Bloating is improving. I'm 3lb down as well which I'm happy with.

@feellikezerobucks I reckon that goal is doable but I'm inexperienced in this so someone with more will hopefully give a better answer.

With the exercise i think just see how you go with respect to the initial fatigue etc. Ease yourself in. I started last week and have made sure I've done at least 10000 steps a day. Too much too soon could sabotage the diet, and initially, it's the diet that does the work.

This week I'm going for 12500 a day and stepping up to full on exercise.

SailorGirl3 · 20/05/2019 09:04

Everyone is doing really well.
Had a weekend of birthday parties and cake, but stayed the same so can't complain. Restarting today big time, will be much easier with OH back at work this week.
Started C25K today, so hopefully that will help also.

unhealthy2healthy · 20/05/2019 16:34

@feellikezerobucks After about two weeks I started doing around 30-40minutes of cardio and then a few days a week 20-30 minutes of strength training - trying to keep as much muscle as I can on the diet!!

I've also just hit a month on TS and I haven't been able to weight myself yet but I think I'm around 2.6(ish) stone down.. so I think 1 stone 3lb in 37 days is achievable Smile

OP posts:
DdJames · 20/05/2019 22:31

I've just finished week 2 with a loss of 3.5lbs which is a bit disappointing but it does make 15lbs off in 2 weeks so I will try and focus on that as I carry on.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Threeminis · 20/05/2019 23:09

Wow op! I'm really amazed by your willpower. That's an amazing loss!

I just started today 3 shakes. I have quite a lot to lose. Would love to be at least two stone down by the time I go on holiday in July.

Strangely, (sorry if tmi) I have judged started my period. I have the coil in and haven't bled for at least 18 months. That's coincidence yeah?

unhealthy2healthy · 21/05/2019 00:06

I’m sticking in there until July - so I’ll be on the journey still with you, aiming for two stone as well Smile

I’ve had the coil for about a year with no bleeding, and as soon as I started the diet I had one of my heaviest periods I’ve ever had Sad, so maybe it’s a side effect? I’ll let you know how this month goes, hoping it was a one off

@DdJames great loss!! Grin

OP posts:
lardass88 · 21/05/2019 06:27

I started yesterday. Need to shift some timber before holiday in July also 🤞🏻

WellVersedInEtiquette · 21/05/2019 09:29

I'm back after a weekend off. I lost 1stone in my first two and a bit weeks. I'm hoping this week gives me another decent loss but we will see. I'm super hungry today.

feellikezerobucks · 21/05/2019 14:15

Everyone is doing really well.
My first day didn't quite go to plan as I ended up eating sausages, chips and a double decker 🤦🏽‍♀️ and needless to say it didn't make my stress disappear.

I'm feeling strong today though and just about to try the lemon shake for lunch.

Keep on going guys (and please keep posting!)

X

winterisstillcoming · 21/05/2019 22:32

Great losses everyone. @feellikezerobucks just forget any lapses quickly and move on. I've lapsed a few times this week. Only small things but hey ho.

So I've stuck to the 3 sachets today plus plenty of water. I'm running out of meals though so it looks like a day of spaghetti Bol which is vile but it's all I've got. My order comes on Thursday so I've got to stick it out. The hunger has pretty much disappeared. My Achilles heel is dinnertime when I'm serving up. It's killing me. I nicked 3 sweet potato fries today.

I've faced my demons and put my bmi in the nhs calculator which puts me at 26.2. I need to lose another 5lb to get me into healthy range which I've set as my next target. According to the nhs, because of my ethnic background, I need to be a BMI of 23, which is an overall target 19lb.

However, we are going on hols this weekend, all inclusive 🙄. My aim is not to put on as much as I've lost. I'm going to try and stick to protein and carbs as much as possible and do lots of activities with the children. Hopefully my fitness levels will improve. It's a shame that it's come along at my peak motivation but just losing these few pounds has made my holiday clothes fit, so I'm glad I started beforehand.

Have any of you set mini targets, and how are you rewarding yourself, if at all?

feellikezerobucks · 22/05/2019 08:44

@winterisstillcoming have a great holiday!

Glad I stuck to it yesterday as I feel better today and need to focus until my hols.

I find the food isn't nice, I only have the shakes and bars/cookies, but I know what you mean, mealtimes are a killer as is the 4pm just back from school mayhem 😩.

Make sure you check back in after your hols to let us know how you got on 👍🏻
