Morning all!

Here's the spreadsheet

Four important things:

  1. You don't have to be on the spreadsheet if you don't want to - so if your name is there and you want it taken off, let @FinallyHere know, and she will remove it
  2. If you've signed up, but your name isn't there, again, let @FinallyHere know and she will add you
  3. Just add your weight and don't touch any of the other cells!
  4. If you're using your phone for Mumsnet, you'll need to download the Google Sheets app
For Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.docs.editors.sheets&hl=en-US For apple iPhone: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-sheets/id842849113

If you don't want to be on the spreadsheet that's perfectly fine, but please make sure you check out all the resources that on there, on the different tabs. Most critical of all, of course, is the tab with the rules. But there's also loads of information about low carbing, carb counts for various things (including the veg carb counter, which is important), and various different plans and recipes that might help you.

And a massive thank you to @FinallyHere for managing this Flowers

I like the seedlip gin - but it is expensive.

islandbengal · 27/10/2024 20:59

I have at last posted the spicy chicken and cabbage soup by Ottolenghi on the recipe thread for chicken. I couldn't figure out how to send a link. 🤔There are some delicious recipes there. I got myself in a pickle switching to mumsnet on PC for the first time with this post so I've got this username too but it's me @islandtiger. I'll sort myself out in due course.😳 A good day, we had smoked salmon and scrambled egg brunch. For supper (earlier than usual thank goodness) lamb chops with grilled red peppers and the keto creamed cauliflower recipe earlier on this thread. We added garlic and spring onions to the cauliflower Yummy. I really made an effort to drink the full amount of water today so fingers crossed for weigh in in the morning. Good luck everyone and thanks for all the support and ideas this week.

Good morning
@FinallyHere , I feel that I did not operate the sheet correctly and did not save my initial weight last week. I’m sorry for messing about.
I would like to think, it was 145.2.
Is there still a way to add it? Many thanks 😊

NotDonna · 28/10/2024 07:21

Weigh on this morning and I’m exactly the same, which is actually good news. I haven’t been fully compliant this week as SIL visiting from Oz and all my DDs at home so lots of lunches/dinners out. But I’m happy with staying at a static weight and a resolve to be stricter this week. Everyone still here this coming week but the novelty is wearing off so no need to be so celebratory 🤣

NotDonna · 28/10/2024 07:27

@NoTimeToChill24 you’re line 50 on the spreadsheet and I’m 49 so I’ve added your start weight of 145.2 as could see the gaps. Good loss of 3lbs well done 👏🏻
So @FinallyHere it’s been done.

FinallyHere · 28/10/2024 07:32

@NotDonna thank you, u r a *

@NoTimeToChill24 all sorted by NotDonna this time round. I'm happy to help with anything, no probs. Just ask anytime.

I have gained a pound! (No idea why!) I did do quite a lot of exercise yesterday, so maybe water weight?

@SpinningTops - I hope you don't mind me asking, but looking at the spreadsheet, we're a similar weight. I just wondered: a) how tall you are and b) what your daily meals look like to help you lose weight? Or any other tips. (I think it's harder when we don't have much to lose.)

@Magnolia82 yes it's probably temporary water retention after exercise. I weigh every day but record the lowest weight of each week because that's more cheering.

I'm 5ft. So still within a healthy BMI but it's ever creeping upwards. Are you similar?

I seem to cycle between getting down to about 116 where I'm happier, then end up at 122/3 and decide to do something about it. Feels like every year an extra lb adds on to the high weight.

I do think it comes off slowly. I've decided that 0.5lb a week will get me to where I want to be by Christmas.

SpinningTops · 28/10/2024 10:56

Sorry, missed the bit about daily meals.

I always have FFGY and cream for breakfast, usually some kind of salad for lunch (e.g. tuna mayo, loads of leaves, olives, hard boiled eggs). Then dinner it's usually the meaty part of the family meal with low carb sides like cauliflower cheese, celeriac chips, swede mash etc.

I often have random increases over bootcamp. Particularly close to my period. But the general trend is usually slightly down if I trust the process.

@SpinningTops - we're over on the week 2 chat thread now. See link above

Just reading through the rules.. just checking does @FinallyHere add my name to the spreadsheet and I add my starting weight?

Thanks.

BIWI · 30/10/2024 15:27

She will - although you're welcome to do that yourself if you wish! Just add your name to the bottom of the list, along with your starting weight. Don't touch anything else! Grin

Added you @NoCarbsForMe

welcome

you are very welcome to start logging your weight. Some of us also measure dimensions such as waist as you can expect some changed there too

any questions do please ask on the current week thread BIWI opens a new thread each week (so we don’t get full) I’m on my phone so can’t do a link but there is a link a few posts higher up this thread.

Hope to see you over there.

Hi everyone

Breakfast was FFGY with a a bit of double cream & 1/4 tsp of Vanilla Bean extract, it’s quite intense. Had been using Vanilla Extract, which when I double checked on the website it’s basically sugar, oops, luckily I had not been too heavy handed with it.

Lunch was chicken legs with olive oil, salt & pepper airfried with a green salad with a few plum tomatoes (small ones) & green olives and full mayo.

Tea will be Beef chilli (without kidney beans) for me, I heat up separately & add to my husband’s portion. Probably have cauli rice & some cheese.

Trying not to be negative about the no weight loss when I weighed on Monday, as weight had gone down a bit on Sat when I weighed, but had gone back to the same weight again. I started 4 days earlier than official Bootcamp & had lost just over 3lb.

Am trying not to weigh myself too much as it “plays with my mind a bit” if I have a gain/no loss, & makes me feel like I am wasting my time. I lost nearly 4 1/2 stone during 2020 with a well known weight loss company, & had regained about 1 1/2 stone since. I got into the habit of only weighing myself once a week, and if I lost I was happy, if I stayed the same I just double checked my food logs to check where I could tweak. My husband regularly lost every week, but my pattern was lost, stayed the same, lost, it actually evened out and we were both losing 6-7lb a month at first.

Sorry for the essay xx
